Story
UPDATE 9/11/23. TILLIE HAS JUST GRADUATED FROM BOARD AND TRAIN! She played with at least 5 dogs there, knows her commands, and is ready for her forever home! Tillie is VERY active and would be best suited with another doggie playmate in her new home. OR perhaps someone who would like to train with her for agility or some other event. Tillie is exceptionally smart! PRECIOUS TILLIE!! LOOK AT THOSE EARS!!!!! Tillie is a medium sized dog and weighs approximately 37 pounds. She is an Australian cattle dog mix, 9 months old, spayed, current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative. She is also microchipped. Tillie was out of time at a local shelter and we just HAD to get her! SMART!! SMART!! And LOVES to play fetch with you. Here is a video of her with her "big stick" which she alternates with her "Tillie Ball". She has a lot of playing to do and a lot of love to learn about. Tillie will need an active family that will make her a real part of their family and take her with them where they are able. For more information, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Tipsy is the smartest puppy from the litter. She is very confident and outgoing; she is the leader of the litter. Tipsy is also very sweet and playful; she loves seeing a person or other dog come into her area and she will always come over to say hello and play. Tipsy's favorite toys are the rope for tugging, a hoof chew toy, and she likes to chase a ball. Her mom's DNA showed Cattle dog and "Super Mutt"!! Super Mutt was not one of the choices to pick for breed. All we know is that Tipsy has lovely gray fluffy hair and blue eyes!!

Have a thing for sweet Southern gentlemen? Brace yourself, because Jaxon will steal your heart! He was adopted as a puppy but was found dumped on a dangerously hot summer day. But he doesn't let his past get him down--this sweetheart loves his people and thrives on cuddles and affection. This 8-year-old hunk (and chunk) is truly dreamy. He's: - Well-mannered, like any good Southern gentleman - Great on a leash, in the car, and well, everywhere! - Friendly with other dogs (but no cats, please!) - Calm, easy-going, and mellow - Always excited to see the people he loves Jaxon makes everyone he meets smile! He deserves a life that will keep him smiling, too. Please fill out an application to meet this good boy. Questions? Email placement@thestreetdogproject.org. Story
I am finally ready for my forever home! My name is Lily, and I'm a super cute cattle dog/heeler mix. Even though I am only around a year old, I have already been through so much. At the end of last year, I was on the euthanasia list at a way too crowded shelter. Thankfully, a kind TSDP volunteer offered to foster me. I was hit by a car in my pre-shelter days, so I had to have my tail amputated. But I'm a young, sweet, spunky puppy, so I recovered from my surgery in no time. Who needs a tail anyway? I don't need a tail to go for walks or play or snuggle - all things I can't wait to do in my forever home! I'm an active pup who is ready for my forever playmates! Think you might be Lily's forever family? If so, fill out an adoption application! Questions? Please email placement@thestreetdogproject.org Keep up with Lily and the rest of The Street Dog Project: Website: thestreetdogproject.org FB: facebook.com/thestreetdogproject IG: instagram.com/thestreetdogproject

Story
Hey folks! Yes, I know what you’re thinking… this is a great shot, and especially for a black dog. Black dogs are usually so hard to photograph because our expressions get lost in our blackness. But, as for me, I don’t take a bad shot. I am 55 pounds of pure muscle and handsomeness. This sunlight only enhances my rock hard physique and lustrous coat. And how about my dapper smile and these pearly whites? Sometimes I just can’t get over myself. My dad says I am the most confident foster dog they have ever cared for. He also says I am super smart. My foster mom says that’s because I have heeler in me- you can see my blue spotted pattern in my legs and chest. The lady dogs (our neighbor’s rat terriers) find me irresistible. They prance up and down the gate line whenever I am out. And I play it totally cool. Even the neighbor (who is sometimes leary of the pittie fosters that stay here) thinks I am a cool dude and he always sticks his hand over the gate to pet my head and tell me what a good boy I am. I don’t know why I wouldn’t be?? But hey, I’ll take the love. I didn’t get this amazing physique by eating donuts all day. I love to run laps around the yard and play catch with my foster dad and one of my foster dog brothers. I sometimes let that old dog, Buster, win and catch the ball while I act like I don’t know where it is. I appreciate him sharing his home and his family with me so that’s how I show my thanks. In fact, I like all of my foster siblings. Living here has been a dream. Did I forget to tell you, my foster family found me in a homeless camp? My street smarts and ability to charm people got me by. But sleeping in a bed, getting food brought to me everyday and having my own little people to play with is EVERYTHING! Well, almost everything. I want a family of my own. I want my own people who look forward to coming home to me and my wagging tail. I want to be a part of family holiday photos. I want people who take 100’s of photos of me and show them to their friends and co-workers or post me on FB. This would be EVERYTHING! My foster mom says every day I get closer to having my own family. She says the wait will be worth it- for me AND my people. Cole is well mannered, affectionate and friendly. He would love his own yard and another furry friend his size.  He’s a great size. He’s great with our kids. He’s potty trained and crate trained. He had his first stay in boarding while we were gone and the kennel workers loved Cole.  They said he was "happy go lucky" and up for anything.  We couldn't agree more... Cole is a gem. If you know anyone who might be interested, please send them my way. https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. ##1726873##

Story
Prince was living at a used Auto Car Lot in a very bad area.  He slept under cars to stay cool and would wander off when people showed up and come back at night to go under a vehicle.  We heard about his sad existence and we brought him into our rescue.  He is 3 to 4 years old and 65 lbs.  He is a true protector of his home.  He prefers females but with slow introductions he is ok with his male foster parent.  He is house and crate trained.  He is curious with cats and great with dogs after proper introductions.  He is truly "the flying dog".  He loves to be outside and will jump from the dock into the water to catch a frisbee as well as launch himself on top of something high to jump onto a passing dog buddy as if he is jumping into a wrestling ring!  lol...Prince has huge potential for the family or single person that wants to invest their time and love into him.  The perfect family will be active in nature and outdoors and understanding of him wanting to be a part of you and your life.  He loves to give kisses and loves to be with his humans.   ##744249##

Story
Sweet Pongo needs a new home through no fault of his own.  Due to a medical situation with a family member, the family can no longer have a pet.  They are heart-broken about having to give him up because he is SUCH a sweetheart, but we are committed to doing our best to help this family out.  Pongo is the perfect dog for you if you are looking for an already trained, low maintenance guy.  Pongo is leash trained, housebroken, crate trained (but of course he would rather be near his human).  He is great with kids as well as with other dogs and cats.  I'm telling you, this guy is a dream!  We hope that you will consider him for your family.   https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. ##1869754##

Story
MAGGIE IS A TRUE "HEINZ 57" DOG. Her DNA shows Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Lab, Siberian Husky, Miniature American Shepherd, and several others!! She is under two years of age and weighs about 52 pounds. She is only slightly above the "medium" size but she is TALL so we chose to put her in the "large" category. MAGGIE IS TRULY ONE IN A MILLION! She ADORES other dogs and we are hoping she will be adopted by an active family that has another SWEET and playful dog. We have videos we can send you of her playing! Maggie has such a loving temperament she would be find with children. As with most dogs that end up in rescue, she had a sad and unfortunate past. But someone stood up for her and we were able to send her to Wiggle Butt Academy to learn how to be a dog and to learn to trust people. For more information on this beautiful and sweet girl, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

GAINESVILLE, TEXAS: FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTION FOR MORE INFORMATION EMAIL US ASDRESCUE@GMAIL.COM Meet Clifford! Is he a handsome devil or what?! Clifford was facing euthanasia at a kill shelter and, even though he isnt an Anatolian, we felt compelled to save this sweet boy. Our best estimate is that Clifford is a Great Pyrenees x Australian Shepherd blend. Clifford's estimated DOB is March 2023. He currently weighs 65 lbs but he's pretty skinny under all that hair. He could use at least another 10 lbs. Clifford is neutered, heartworm negative and vaccinated. He appears to be in good health. Clifford is good with other dogs and is a very playful, energetic guy. He's housebroken and crate trained. Cliff does really well in his crate. He will do best with an active owner and may enjoy the company of another dog who is close to his size and energy level. Transport options are available depending on where you live. Please email us for more information. ___________________________________________________________________ NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions. Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
