UPDATE 9/11/23. TILLIE HAS JUST GRADUATED FROM BOARD AND TRAIN! She played with at least 5 dogs there, knows her commands, and is ready for her forever home! Tillie is VERY active and would be best suited with another doggie playmate in her new home. OR perhaps someone who would like to train with her for agility or some other event. Tillie is exceptionally smart! PRECIOUS TILLIE!! LOOK AT THOSE EARS!!!!! Tillie is a medium sized dog and weighs approximately 37 pounds. She is an Australian cattle dog mix, 9 months old, spayed, current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative. She is also microchipped. Tillie was out of time at a local shelter and we just HAD to get her! SMART!! SMART!! And LOVES to play fetch with you. Here is a video of her with her "big stick" which she alternates with her "Tillie Ball". She has a lot of playing to do and a lot of love to learn about. Prince was living at a used Auto Car Lot in a very bad area. He slept under cars to stay cool and would wander off when people showed up and come back at night to go under a vehicle. We heard about his sad existence and we brought him into our rescue. He is 3 to 4 years old and 65 lbs. He is a true protector of his home. He prefers females but with slow introductions he is ok with his male foster parent. He is house and crate trained. He is curious with cats and great with dogs after proper introductions. He is truly "the flying dog". He loves to be outside and will jump from the dock into the water to catch a frisbee as well as launch himself on top of something high to jump onto a passing dog buddy as if he is jumping into a wrestling ring! lol...Prince has huge potential for the family or single person that wants to invest their time and love into him. She is under two years of age and weighs about 52 pounds. She is only slightly above the "medium" size but she is TALL so we chose to put her in the "large" category. MAGGIE IS TRULY ONE IN A MILLION! She ADORES other dogs and we are hoping she will be adopted by an active family that has another SWEET and playful dog. Clifford was facing euthanasia at a kill shelter and, even though he isnt an Anatolian, we felt compelled to save this sweet boy. Our best estimate is that Clifford is a Great Pyrenees x Australian Shepherd blend. Clifford's estimated DOB is March 2023. He currently weighs 65 lbs but he's pretty skinny under all that hair. He could use at least another 10 lbs. Clifford is neutered, heartworm negative and vaccinated. He appears to be in good health. Clifford is good with other dogs and is a very playful, energetic guy. He's housebroken and crate trained. Cliff does really well in his crate. He will do best with an active owner and may enjoy the company of another dog who is close to his size and energy level. Duke is a fun-loving thick guy with a tail like a whip! Duke is very strong and has bursts of high energy during play. He loves to chew, and tug-o-war is his favorite game! He loves to chase (and destroy) tennis balls, and has a high drive to chase in general. Duke does well with other friendly dogs, especially given the opportunity to do a slow introduction. He has an intense energy while playing, but absolutely loves it. For the right dog he would make a great companion. However, Duke is also happy to be the only dog in a home. He loves to share the bed with his people, and will always let you know if there is a stranger at the gate or someone at the door! He's a great alert dog. He enjoys sunbathing and snacks, and does very well when getting his nails dremmels and trimmed. Duke has opened up to new people significantly since arriving with us, and is crate trained. He responds well to correction from both humans and other dogs. He does NOT do well with cats! Duke is stronger than he thinks, and will sometimes run into things and trip overhimself. It's funny most of the time, but he can be a bit of a bull in a china cabinet lol. Duke could use some work on leash training, but is house broken and doesn't get into many things he shouldn't as long as he has his toys to play with. :).
