Story
Sydney is a 27 pound, healthy, one year old, spayed, vaccinated BC mix. She is a fun dog with antics that will make you smile many times a day. Her first love is tennis balls, followed by human attention, food and treats, and chew toys. She likes training exercises (treats!) and learns fast! She sleeps deeply through the night in her comfy crate especially if she’s had enough exercise during the day which is easy to accomplish because she’ll play fetch until your arm falls off! DNA test revealed 5 herding breeds (AU Cattle Dog, Mini American Shepherd, AU Shepherd, Shetland Sheepdog, and Border Collie). Sydney has a very busy mind which results  in a bit of generalized anxiety (but NOT separation anxiety!) that is currently being managed with medication once a day. With time, training, and a calm environment, she may be able to reduce or eliminate the medication. As of now she’s a happier, calmer dog on the medication. Because of this generalized anxiety, she can be unpredictable with dogs and would not be an appropriate pet for children. Her dream home would be one with experienced BC person/people who want a constant companion but will not force her in to situations that are uncomfortable for her (slow introductions to new people, places, experiences, and especially new dogs). She is smart and sensitive, will follow you everywhere, look to you for guidance and comfort (and tennis balls). She truly wants to please you but within the boundaries of her particular need to stay calm. She is expressive, has the cutest wiggle butt you’ve EVER seen, and if you love to laugh out loud, she’s your girl! She is currently in the DFW area and ready to be adopted at bcrrt.com.

Story
Hi, I'm Penny! Don't you think I'm a cutie? I may have had a rough start, but thanks to my rescuers, life is looking up! Now, all I need is a loving family to call my own. I'm a happy, healthy girl who's eager to learn and grow. Very Treat Motivated. With a little guidance, I'll be the best companion you could ask for. I love to play, ride in the car, and I'm great with kids. While I haven't met any cats yet, I'm open to new friends! As for other dogs, I get along with most, but it's always best to meet beforehand. Plus, I'm a pro on the leash and can't wait to explore the world with you on walks!

Story
Ace, one of our long-timers, is still looking for his person! He is a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier/German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. Ace is the type of pup who only needs his person to be happy. When he has a human to love, he absolutely adores them. He prefers women, but we believe he could bond with a man in the same way with a little more time. Ace is not the type of dog to take to the dog park or out in a social setting, but he is also not the type of dog who needs that to be happy. If you think of it another way, he is just a homebody looking for a human homebody! He lacks confidence when meeting new people or when put in a new situation, so he is looking for a patient adopter who understands that things in this world are a bit scarier for him. However, once he knows he is safe, he loves with his entire heart. His favorite things are to lay at his foster mom’s feet while she works and even just be near her. He does not have separation anxiety, but he just truly loves to be around his person. Ace would thrive in a home with an adopter who is home most of the time and just wants a loyal and loving best friend to accompany them. Ace is in a foster home with other dogs and does fine with them. He is dog friendly but just a little awkward with other dogs because he doesn’t understand social cues. His ideal home would be as an only dog or with another mellow dog. Ace has been through obedience training and knows many commands. He walks great on a leash. He is also kennel trained and potty trained. We realize that Ace’s forever home is a tall ask, but we know that his person is out there somewhere. He is looking for someone who will give him a couple of weeks to open up because they know that it will be so worth it in the end. He has been with us for almost 4 years since being returned in 2020, and we want to finally see his happily ever after! If you are interested in adopting Ace, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an adoption application. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##209619##

Story
Meet Terry! We are guessing he is a 4 1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix who loves other dogs and needs a doggy sibling in his forever home. He is crate trained and house trained and loves to cuddle! This boy thinks he’s a 50 lb lap dog! He loves to play with toys, even by himself and loves to chase his foster doggie siblings around the yard. He has a lot of energy, but also loves to lay around and chew on his Benebone. He is weary around men, so his future family needs to know that if there is a man in the home, it may take a while for him to warm up. Due to his breeds, no apartments please! Story
Dash has had one owner since he was adopted from Operation Kindness in 2019 at the age of 3 months. His birthday is April 23rd, and he is 5 years old this year. He's been the best boy until he developed the need to be protective. He's a lovable lap dog when he is comfortable. He doesn't like when strangers come to the house, or when other dogs get too close to my other dog. He has been around young children and been gentle but is not around them often. He's lived with a cat before but separated. Dash loves frisbees and tug of war, he loves running, and he loves back scratches.
