Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Nolan came to us after being attacked by a large German Shepherd.  He required ER surgery to patch him back up and save his life.  He is still good with dogs but is now, understandably, leery of anything that looks German Shepherd (his foster has a dog that isn't GSD but looks similar to a mix of one) who he's guarded around so kept separate.   He has good house manners, can be crated though he doesn't love it and is just looking for a family or people who will love him for the rest of his days.   Could that be you? Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2025, 12:32 am

Story
Cali is a chill gal who is looking for a comfy home to relax in. Her favorite things are napping, chewing on her Kong, and rubbing her back and sides on walls and shrubs! She also seems to enjoy meeting new people and getting head scratches! She walks well on leash, with only a few stubborn moments that are eased with some verbal encouragement. She does well with other dogs and some small animals, but may chase some of the really small ones. Here`s a short video of Cali - https://youtube.com/shorts/sneY0zWYwfgCali is still working up to her goal weight but can be picky - she does best with a mix of wet and dry food in a slow feeder that is elevated. Do you think you could give this gal a chance to prove she`s the best dog? Story
Hi, just call me Bubbles,I'm calm, shy, and super affectionate once I trust you. I didn't always know kindness--my brother and I were found in the middle of nowhere, hungry, scared, and running from everyone. It took time and patience, but I finally learned to feel safe and loved. Now I enjoy walks, playing with other dogs, and napping in the sun. I'm still a little reserved at first, but once I feel comfortable, I'll be right by your side, ready for cuddles and belly rubs. I'd love a home with another friendly dog, a yard to relax in, and people--especially kids--who are gentle and kind. I do best with company and wouldn't be happy left alone for long. I know some basic commands like stay and come, and I walk well on leash. With patience and love, I'll be your sweetest, most loyal companion. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Story
Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.
