Story
Est. DOB: 04/22/2022 Adoption fee: $259 Meet Hank & His Brother Timothy – Two Brave Souls Looking for Healing Homes Hank is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog with a tender spirit and a heart that’s ready to learn what love truly feels like. Alongside him is his brother, Timothy, who has shared in the same difficult beginnings and is also learning how to navigate the world with cautious hope. Born into a boarding kennel with very little human interaction, Hank and Timothy spent their early lives surrounded by many dogs but without the comfort of blankets, toys, treats, or consistent people who cared for them. Because of this, they both missed out on the socialization and stability that every dog deserves. Today, Hank is a sensitive and nervous boy—especially around new people. Timothy shares a similar gentle, unsure nature, though each copes in his own way. Beneath their fear are dogs who want to trust, who watch quietly, who try hard, and who blossom in small but meaningful ways when treated with patience and kindness. Once they feel safe, you’ll start to see glimpses of their personalities—soft curiosity, quiet companionship, and even moments of playful joy. Hank and Timothy each need a very special adopter: • Someone experienced with fearful or under-socialized dogs • A quiet, child-free home with very limited chaos • People who are home often and willing to go at their pace • A commitment to exclusively positive reinforcement • A promise to celebrate the tiniest victories along the way For the right person, either of these boys will be an incredibly rewarding companion. Their adoptions will include training support to help set them—and their new family—up for success. They may never be the kind of dogs who want to go everywhere or meet everyone—but they have the potential to become deeply loyal, trusting friends to someone patient enough to guide them. If you have the heart, the experience, and the time to help a dog heal from a rough beginning, Hank and Timothy are waiting for you. (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. PLEASE NOTE: Sunny Skys is open by appointment only. Adoption applications must be approved prior to meeting dogs or cats. Story
Romina’s story almost ended before it truly began. 💔 She had very little time left when we came across a random post and knew we had to act immediately. That moment of urgency is what saved her life. Now, this 3-year-old mini Aussie mix is getting ready for a brand-new beginning — she is being fostered in Des Moines, WA, thanks to one of our dearest adopters who opened their home and heart to her. Romina is active, playful, friendly, and incredibly smart. She loves puzzles, enjoys walks, rides and water! She does great on leash, is potty trained, and is an all-around fun, sweet companion. She would thrive with another dog friend to help release her energy and with a family who has the time, space, and commitment to fill her days with love and care and take her on adventures evrywhere! She was given a second chance just in time — now she’s waiting for her forever. If you feel a connection, send in an application and let’s see if you’re her perfect match. ✨
