Story
OTTIS's Story Est. DOB: 12/29/2024 Weight: 42lbs Adoption fee: $275 Ottis is a friendly, playful boy who’s always ready for his next adventure! He does wonderful with kids and gets along well with other friendly dogs and animals—he truly seems to love everyone he meets. Ottis listens when you call his name and is eager to please, especially if praise or cuddles are involved. This sweet, energetic pup would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard (wood fencing recommended) or with an active person or family committed to daily walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures. Ottis absolutely loves being outside, exploring new places, and soaking up all the attention he can get. When playtime is over, he transforms into a total cuddle bug who just wants to relax and be close to his people. Ottis is a bit of an athlete and a problem-solver—he can climb cyclone fencing, scale 4–5 ft fences, squeeze through narrow gaps, and even dig under fencing. Because of this, he will need a very secure setup (solid wood fencing with no gaps) or to be exercised on leash at all times. With the right environment, he will be a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always ready to go—and always happy to snuggle afterward. If you’re looking for an energetic adventure buddy with a heart full of love, Ottis is your guy! Story
HANK's Story Est. DOB: 04/22/2022 Adoption fee: $259 Meet Hank – A Brave Soul Looking for His Healing Home Hank is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog with a tender spirit and a heart that’s ready to learn what love truly feels like. Born into a boarding kennel with very little human interaction, Hank spent his early life surrounded by many dogs but without the comfort of blankets, toys, treats, or consistent people who cared for him. Because of this, he missed out on the socialization and stability that every dog deserves. Today, Hank is a sensitive and nervous boy—especially around new people. But beneath that fear is a dog who wants to trust, who watches quietly, who tries hard, and who blossoms in small ways when treated with patience and kindness. Once he knows you, he enjoys gentle pets and showing you his zoomies in the yard. Hank needs a very special adopter: -Someone experienced with fearful or under socialized dogs -A quiet, child-free home with very limited chaos -People who are home often and willing to go at Hank’s pace -A commitment to exclusively positive reinforcement -A promise to celebrate the tiny victories along the way For the right person, Hank will be an incredibly rewarding companion. His adoption will include training support to help set both him and his new family up for success. Hank may never be the kind of dog who wants to go everywhere or meet everyone—but he has the potential to become a loyal, trusting friend to someone patient enough to guide him. If you have the heart, the experience, and the time to help a dog heal from a rough beginning, Hank is waiting for you. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog

Story
Romina’s story almost ended before it truly began. 💔 She had very little time left when we came across a random post and knew we had to act immediately. That moment of urgency is what saved her life. Now, this 3-year-old mini Aussie mix is getting ready for a brand-new beginning — she is being fostered in Des Moines, WA, thanks to one of our dearest adopters who opened their home and heart to her. Romina is active, playful, friendly, and incredibly smart. She loves puzzles, enjoys walks, rides and water! She does great on leash, is potty trained, and is an all-around fun, sweet companion. She would thrive with another dog friend to help release her energy and with a family who has the time, space, and commitment to fill her days with love and care and take her on adventures evrywhere! She was given a second chance just in time — now she’s waiting for her forever. If you feel a connection, send in an application and let’s see if you’re her perfect match. ✨

Story
Brookie is a (almost) 4 month old Aussie/heeler. We are looking to rehome her to a loving home.. we took her in a couple months ago but she, unfortunately, does not get along with our current dog and she is not working out well with our family. She’s a spunky, friendly, hyperactive pup who loves to play around with other dogs at the dog park, go for long walks, and is potty trained. Brookie is SO so sweet, she is great around kids and other dogs (besides ours).

Story
Vader is one of the sweetest dogs l’ve ever encountered, he loves to be petted and talked to and just be around his human. He is not a high maintenance dog he just loves to lounge and play outside. He enjoys the occasional TV reality show when it is cut on. I am so sad to have to let him go and I would not be if it was not for our landlords, we love him and we know there is someone out there who will love him just as much as we do. Vader will come with his crate, his cot style bed, his toys, food, his collar and rabies tag, his blanket and his stuffie. Vader is a laid back dog but also loves to be outside and he is so loyal and loves loves loves to walk and play. Vader can be shy at first glance but one Vader warms up to you and other animals he will become your most loyal friend. His picture perfect day is a walk and a nap!
