This handsome Cattle Dog/Heeler mix is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and always ready for his next adventure. Lenny already knows all his basic commands, is fully potty trained, crate trained, and takes his job as "best dog ever" very seriously. Like any true Heeler, Lenny is happiest when his mind and body are busy. Whether it's a long walk, a hike, exploring new places, playing in a big yard, or simply hanging out with his people, he's always ready to be part of the action. If your idea of a perfect weekend involves getting outside and making memories, Lenny is already packing his bags. Lenny is also a social guy who gets along well with both dogs and cats. He enjoys making new friends and would love a home where he can continue building his confidence and enjoying life. Because of his herding breed instincts and enthusiasm, he'd do best in a home with children 12 years and older who can appreciate his energetic and intelligent nature. This isn't a dog who's looking to spend his days as a couch potato. Lenny is searching for an active family that understands the joys (and occasional antics) of herding breeds. Experience with Heelers, Cattle Dogs, or similar working breeds would be a huge bonus, but most importantly, he's looking for people who will give him the exercise, structure, and mental enrichment he thrives on. FOSTER TO ADOPT/ADOPTER Meet Maggie aka Ruby. Maggie after the Magnolia tree is the sweetest girl! We believe she is possibly mixed with heeler or Aussie? She is 11 months old, potty trained as long as she has somewhat of a schedule, and knows some basic commands. She will be a year old in July. Maggie loves other dogs, gets along with cats (still a puppy so can play rough, but she does not purposely hurt them), and although she is timid at first ( she was abused) she warms up quickly. She LOVES to cuddle! Maggie lived in a home with a little girl, so I'm sure she'd make a wonderful family pet. She is also very well behaved in the car, and was great at the vets office. Because Maggie is nervous of new things, I am requiring that you have a martingale collar when you pick her up. Would prefer a fenced in yard, but not required. Maggie will be ready to be spayed in mid June, which is included in her adoption fee if you go to an approved vet from Tiny Paws. Her adoption fee is $250.
