Story
Meet Skye – Your Loyal, Sensitive Adventure Buddy &#239&#184&#143Skye is a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd with a gentle soul, a brilliant mind, and a heart that bonds deeply with her person. She’s a shy, sweet, and attentive girl who blossoms into a wonderfully devoted companion once she feels safe.Skye's favorite pastime? Playing fetch with her beloved tennis ball, followed by a cozy hangout with her human. At this stage in her life, she enjoys a balanced routine - daily walks, some ball-chasing fun, and the mental challenge of treat puzzles keep her happy and fulfilled. She's medium-energy, agile, smart, and always up for an adventure as long as she's with someone she trusts.Skye is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and an excellent leash walker. She's responsive to commands like leave it and focus, and she tries hard to make good choices, especially when she's feeling nervous. She takes daily Fluoxetine to help manage her anxiety, which has been beneficial for her. While she's not destructive when left alone, Skye truly prefers companionship and does best with someone who is home often. She is sensitive and protective of her space - quick movements or unfamiliar guests can make her anxious, and she may try to 'herd' people by nipping at heels. Because of this, a quieter home without young children or frequent visitors would be ideal. Skye can coexist with other calm dogs and cats, though she tends to keep to herself and prefers slow introductions. A yard would be a wonderful bonus for her.Skye's perfect match is someone patient, gentle, and understanding - someone who appreciates her quirks, respects her boundaries, and celebrates her incredible loyalty and intelligence. With the right person, she is affectionate, playful, deeply connected, and wonderfully sassy in all the best ways.If you're looking for a smart, soulful companion who will adore you endlessly and join you on meaningful adventures, Skye may be your perfect match. &#239&#184&#143Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Benny! Looking for a brilliant best friend? This 6-month-old Border Collie/Aussie mix is as smart as he is sweet! Weighing in at about 25 lbs, Benny is the perfect blend of brains, heart, and playful puppy energy. Benny is a very smart dog, already crate-trained , almost completing house-training, and already knows “sit” and “shake”! He gets along well with other dogs but will chase cats. True to his herding-dog roots, Benny thrives on mental and physical fun. He loves playing fetch, playing with other dogs, learning new tricks with treats! The world is still a scary place for him and he is sensitive to loud noises and scared of walking nearby moving vehicles. He's looking for a family that understands his needs and is excited to continue his training with positive reinforcement. He could be little shy about meeting new people at first, but he warms up with patience and kindness—then his affectionate side shines through. Once he trusts you, he’s a world-class cuddler who bonds deeply with his people. He has medium energy and would love a yard where he can run, play, and stretch those long legs. He’s great with other dogs—his puppy enthusiasm can be a bit much for some, but a playful canine companion could be a perfect match. Bonus! Benny’s adoption includes two free training sessions with Clementine Dog Training, to help set him (and you!) up for success as he continues learning and growing. Benny would do best with: - A patient family familiar with herding breeds who can help him build confidence - Someone excited to continue positive reinforcement training and enrichment - A home with a yard for playtime - Potentially another playful, compatible dog If you’re looking for a smart, loyal companion to grow with, Benny is your boy! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. His adoption fee is $200.
