Story
Milly is a Mini Red Tri Australian Shepherd. We acquired her from a friend who bought her brother in a litter. She is potty trained, and crate trained. Milly is trained to follow you off leash on a hike or a run. She can also follow basic commands. She has been on many trail runs and fishing trips. She's great at playing fetch and loves being outside. Milly will truly be right by your side like a best friend when she warms up to you and get's to know you. She is instinctually a very anxious and nervous dog. Her ideal situation would be a family with no young kids or other dogs or animals. Patience is key when getting to know her. Additionally, a yard would be helpful for her to run around daily. We are saddened to have to make this decision as she has shown a pattern of aggressive behavior towards our 2-year-old son. We have weighed our options and decided she needs a different environment to thrive.

Story
Rocket is an energetic 2 year old blue heeler. He was a rescue dog. Rocket loves walks and playing fetch, and just being outdoors in general. He needs to be in a house with no other dogs or cats as he is just a 1 animal household type of dog. He tends to herd our dogs. Rocket doesn’t like strangers. He needs some training. Rocket is potty trained and a perfect friend to have. A home with a big yard would be ideal. We are heartbroken to find a new home for Rocket but we aren’t home enough to spend the time outside he needs. Crate included.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Well, Hellloooo!  My name is Barefoot and I am a very soft spoken boy!  Sometimes you don’t even know I’m here!  I’m just getting adjusted to foster life but I have to say, I’m loving it!  I’m learning to kennel up on command and potty training is just within my reach!  I’m a Heeler mix and am so gentle!  I love to play and chase my siblings but best of all, I love to play with toys!  Being a Heeler “mix” means I’m not so sure about by heritage, like, I’m not sure if I’m going to shed, or exactly how much I will grow.  Right now, I’m smaller than my fam so I think I’ll be around 30-40 lbs.  I mean, I’m 10 weeks old so there’s lots of time to figure that out!  I do love outdoors and I think I’d love to have a family who walks and has time to train me.  If you think I’d make a good fit for you, you can reach me at  rescuerovers.org !  Give me a shout out! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Jane Goodall  11 months old | 30 lbs | Aussie Mix | Gentle Soul   Named after a petite powerhouse with the heart of a warrior, Jane Goodall is a sweet and resilient Aussie mix who’s ready to find her forever family. At just 11 months old and around 30 pounds, Jane may be small, but her spirit is mighty.   Jane came to the shelter with a broken leg from an unknown past, but her journey of healing has been nothing short of inspiring. She recently underwent a successful FHO surgery and is doing wonderfully in her recovery. With some continued rehab, she’s expected to regain normal function of the affected leg—making her a fantastic companion for walks and hikes (though not your long distance running buddy).   This sweet girl can be timid at first but then she will go full wiggle butt and shower you with love and cuddles. Because of her initially timid nature, a calm home with no kids or dog savvy kids ages 8+ would be ideal.   • Absolutely adores people • Working on potty training • Crate trained and sleeps there at night • Jane gets along wonderfully with other dogs, preferring those who are her size and have a gentle yet playful demeanor • She didn’t mind the office cats at the shelter   Jane is incredibly sweet, quietly brave, and full of love to give. She’s looking for a patient, kind-hearted family and in return will be an amazing companion.   If you’re interested in meeting Jane Goodall, please apply here:  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 12, 2025, 4:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Do you know what's better than chocolate? A chocolate colored dog, aka me, Amberlyn! Not only can I make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, I can make you warm & fuzzy on the outside too! I love cuddles! Another plus is I don't add any calories to your diet. In fact I help with keeping you fit, as I love to be active. I'm in the sweet spot of age too. Im only 2 years old and 45lbs. They say I'm a retriever mix of some kind, probably collie or aussie, but who knows. That's why I have an abundance of energy, I guess. I'm up for any activity you want to do hiking, fetch, tug, running, training, maybe even swimming. You name it lets do it. A little secret though is I need a family that will also help me take a chill pill. I can get too wound up from to much activity and I can have a tough time settling. No worries though! I crate really well and it helps settle me down. That being said a house with older kids, 12 years and up would be best. I do also get along with some other dogs but my energy and pushiness to play can be annoying apparently. Don't worry though I'm happy being my own entertainment. Not only am I a great activity buddy but I love to learn. I would love for my family to invest in training classes. I've got a head start on my sit, down, wait and stay but boy oh boy would I love to do more!   Apply to meet me today!  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 21, 2025, 4:07 pm
