Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Misio, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMarch 8, 2026, 6:31 am

Story
Meet Benny! Looking for a brilliant best friend? This 6-month-old Border Collie/Aussie mix is as smart as he is sweet! Weighing in at about 25 lbs, Benny is the perfect blend of brains, heart, and playful puppy energy. Benny is a very smart dog, already crate-trained , almost completing house-training, and already knows “sit” and “shake”! He gets along well with other dogs but will chase cats. True to his herding-dog roots, Benny thrives on mental and physical fun. He loves playing fetch, playing with other dogs, learning new tricks with treats! The world is still a scary place for him and he is sensitive to loud noises and scared of walking nearby moving vehicles. He's looking for a family that understands his needs and is excited to continue his training with positive reinforcement. He could be little shy about meeting new people at first, but he warms up with patience and kindness—then his affectionate side shines through. Once he trusts you, he’s a world-class cuddler who bonds deeply with his people. He has medium energy and would love a yard where he can run, play, and stretch those long legs. He’s great with other dogs—his puppy enthusiasm can be a bit much for some, but a playful canine companion could be a perfect match. Bonus! Benny’s adoption includes two free training sessions with Clementine Dog Training, to help set him (and you!) up for success as he continues learning and growing. Benny would do best with: - A patient family familiar with herding breeds who can help him build confidence - Someone excited to continue positive reinforcement training and enrichment - A home with a yard for playtime - Potentially another playful, compatible dog If you’re looking for a smart, loyal companion to grow with, Benny is your boy! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. His adoption fee is $200. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Story
Meet Hashbrown! A 5 Year old girl that been in the shelter since March 5th, orginally coming in so shut down that she wouldnt let anyone near her. She`s developed into a bright pup who knows how to get what she wants. While spending time with our front of desk staff, Hashbrown has shown us how much she loves being an office dog! Always watching our staff take calls and waiting patiently for them to end to start her pleading for yummy treats. Hashbrown is very affectionate, at only 29lbs she makes sure you know she can fit in your lap and will take advantage of her size to do so. She adores getting attention and will make eye contact with you until she gets the love she`s looking for. While Hashbrown loves her office time she adores the outdoors even more! As a fetch conessoiur, she`s ready to give you a run for the ages, but will always bring the ball back for some scratches in return. We recommend that Hasbrown start in basic training once in the home to help her understand the building blocks like sit, down, stay, etc.

These pups are in Holladay, Utah too!
