Loves to play fetch, always has a ball. Shreds all soft toys even if designed for chewers. Does well with other dogs, though he ignores them when it's playtime. Has resource guarding tendancies with food and bones(We feed our and our roommates dogs in separate spaces with open doors). Loves people and not scared of strangers at all. Very, very social. Struggles with toddlers (those learning to respect an animal's space and boundaries) but plays totally fine with older kids(5Y and up), growls when our toddler stumbles into him or walks against him while he is resting. E-collar trained, Doggie doorbell trained.

Story
Ellie needs to be in a home where she can be the main character. She is super playful, loves ice cubes, and sits out on the porch and watches everybody go by. She is shy with new people and doesn’t love other dogs. She loves going on hikes and runs. She is used to being around horses, but can be intimidated if they run up to her. She is very good at doing tricks and is toy- and food-motivated. She loves taking naps and lying on top of you. She will lie in the snow for hours, not wanting to move. She is great at giving a bath and will stand there as long as you tell her to. She loves getting brushed and will grin at you the whole time. She is good with high-energy days or low, relaxing days; she wants to be around you.

Story
Meet Skye – Your Loyal, Sensitive Adventure Buddy &#239&#184&#143Skye is a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd with a gentle soul, a brilliant mind, and a heart that bonds deeply with her person. She’s a shy, sweet, and attentive girl who blossoms into a wonderfully devoted companion once she feels safe.Skye's favorite pastime? Playing fetch with her beloved tennis ball, followed by a cozy hangout with her human. At this stage in her life, she enjoys a balanced routine - daily walks, some ball-chasing fun, and the mental challenge of treat puzzles keep her happy and fulfilled. She's medium-energy, agile, smart, and always up for an adventure as long as she's with someone she trusts.Skye is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and an excellent leash walker. She's responsive to commands like leave it and focus, and she tries hard to make good choices, especially when she's feeling nervous. She takes daily Fluoxetine to help manage her anxiety, which has been beneficial for her. While she's not destructive when left alone, Skye truly prefers companionship and does best with someone who is home often. She is sensitive and protective of her space - quick movements or unfamiliar guests can make her anxious, and she may try to 'herd' people by nipping at heels. Because of this, a quieter home without young children or frequent visitors would be ideal. Skye can coexist with other calm dogs and cats, though she tends to keep to herself and prefers slow introductions. A yard would be a wonderful bonus for her.Skye's perfect match is someone patient, gentle, and understanding - someone who appreciates her quirks, respects her boundaries, and celebrates her incredible loyalty and intelligence. With the right person, she is affectionate, playful, deeply connected, and wonderfully sassy in all the best ways.If you're looking for a smart, soulful companion who will adore you endlessly and join you on meaningful adventures, Skye may be your perfect match. &#239&#184&#143Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
