Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello my name is Banjoe! I am a male 8 month old Aussie shepherd mix! I am about 17 lbs soaking wet and might reach a solid 25 lbs when fully grown  Of course everything in rescue is estimated, but my fosters feel pretty good about my future stats! I know what you’re thinking, “Wow, he’s beautiful!” but I’m more than meets the eye. I have special needs! Yes, you read that right! My fosters believe I am deaf, which makes me more than beautiful, it makes me special.  Before you jump to conclusions on what this might mean, here's what you need to know about me! -          I am amazing with other dogs! Sure, I’m bouncy like my true Aussie nature, but I flip to my belly just as easily to show that I mean no harm, EVER! -          I sleep through the night – I sleep like a baby (I mean because I am a baby haha)! In fact I’d probably sleep through Armageddon. When you wake up in the morning, I might outsleep you! So just blow on my sweet face and I’ll wake up loving you like the gentleman I am! -          For obvious reasons, if you’re looking for a guard dog – I’m not the right fit for you. I hardly bark and I won’t know danger is coming to you or me… but if you’re looking for a loving companion for you or your current fur baby I’m the perfect guy for the job! -          I am less food motivated and more into praise really. I’d be worried if you didn’t question that since I can’t hear you LOL. So really I’m down for the love and affection when you praise me and my awesomeness! -          I run freely in a fenced backyard and play so nicely with all my foster brothers and sister! We have a blast so I’d love to find a home where I can play with a brother/sister who can teach me the ropes and I can follow their lead. It’s important for me to learn your house routine from someone who knows the drill! -          I’m a follower by nature, my natural instincts have taught me to follow whatever anyone is doing around me. So if we are running outside, me too! If we are running into our kennels, me too! If we are begging for a treat, me too! If we are chasing ice cubes on the kitchen floor, me too! I’m easy because I just want to do whatever everyone else is doing! -          When you’re ready for me to snuggle up with you please believe that I will be RIGHT THERE! I’m a cuddle baby ALL THE WAY! I will often nap on your foot or your arm so I know you are there. I’m the epitome of “You keep me safe, I’ll keep you wild.” If you make sure that I live a long life, I will make sure that yours is fulfilled in all the best ways possible! I’m so loving and gentle with everyone around me. I’m active, but it’s easy to meet my standard operational needs. You and I just need excellent non-verbal communication. - Make no mistake, I may not be able to hear you but I've probably been deaf my whole life and I've clearly lasted these 8 months by being so incredible to the point where no one really picked up on my special need until someone finally paid close enough attention to catch on. I'm brilliant and I attentively follow the rules by observing my surroundings and adapting extremely fast. Everyone has that one person in their life that is quick and witty on their feet, right? That's me... only with basic life skills!  I’m a 10, but I need training. Because of my uniqueness, it’s going to be required that you take me to training. My fosters are working to teach me sign language right now and want you to know that I will need to work with a trainer who understands what I will need in the future so I can be 100% successful in life. I’m young, and I’m eager to learn. Please believe me, I’m so smart and ready to please you. I just need a little more than the usual “puppy training." Since it’s early in my life there is no better time than now!  If you rescue me, I’ll rescue you right back because I’m practically perfect in every way! Story
I need to rehome our sweet mini Aussie girl. She is almost 4 years old, spayed, with vaccines all up to date. She is the definition of a velcro dog and is the most loving, cuddly girl. She does have anxiety and is very territorial and protective of me. She is a totally different dog when she is not around me and will play with dogs when I'm not there. If I'm with her, she will bark at other dogs. She gets used to new people but it generally takes her a day or two. Small rehoming fee applies. Feel free to pm me with any question.

Story
We adopted Zelda in 2019. She is now five years old and has been a great addition to our family. She joined our family when we were just two humans with one dog. We wanted our first dog to have a companion. Zelda is very energetic and needs plenty of exercise every day. Over the years we have tried to keep up with her, but now we are a family of three humans. We have a new baby and can no longer give Zelda the amount of exercise she needs. She plays well with our other dog, but she can be possessive over food and toys. She is very friendly towards humans and will be your best friend if you give her a ball. She is very good at returning the ball after playing catch, and she knows basic commands like sit and stay. She also comes when her name is called. She will bark when people come to the door. She would rather run than walk and she whines when she gets excited. If you are looking for a running or hiking companion, or if you enjoy playing fetch Zelda is the dog for you.

Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 7.5 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Misio, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationOctober 13, 2024, 7:21 am

Story
Kayli came to her foster mom sick and at a very unhealthy weight. After a lengthy nutrition and weight loss program this adorable girl is ready to find her forever home! She was at a point where she could barely walk and now she loves a nice race around the backyard or to fetch her toys for you. She is a supreme cuddle bug and can't get close enough to her people. Tummy rubs might be her favorite thing and if you pet her she will adorably fling herself to the ground to better accommodate you. She loves walks but is also content to just stay home with you, too. She does have a problem with excited barking but she calms down after a short time. She just loves every single person she meets and can't control her excitement at first. She also loves children and children love her but because of her initial excited barking she can sometimes scare them so an initial leash greeting would be best with small children. She loves other dogs but if they get in her face too much she can sometimes be a little snippy. She has done well in her foster home with another older dog and, for a short stint, she had a blast with a big, goofy young boy that was recently adopted. Kayli has a 'cherry eye' (where the tear duct has popped out under the eyelid) that her owner chose not to fix as it doesn't bother her at all, but because of that it has been too long to do anything about it. It doesn't bother her and requires no attention. Would like to meet this cute girl?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
Daisy was born 02/25/2024. She loves to play with other dogs and has spent time at Pet Smart with other dogs playing. She is a happy dog. The reason we need to let her be re-homed is my wife fell and broke her leg and will be in rehab for a long time. Daisy is her dog. We do not have a yard as we live in a condo. Whoever adopts her should have a yard she can play in as she is energetic. We paid $800 for the dog and have spent over $500 for Vet for all shots and microchip. She is good on all vaccinations until May 2025 Here is a list of things that we will give you: 1.Collapsible pen 2.Very nice stand with water and food bowl 3. Food we have left 4. Bag of toys 5. Complete health records 6. Leashes 7. Grooming kit 8. Silver metal comb 9. Brush 10. Collapsible car seat 11. Pouch holds treats for training
