Meet Benito ❤️ Male DOB: April 10, 2022 Weight: 45 pounds Breed: Australian Shepherd / Dalmatian Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Benito has been waiting… and waiting… and still, his heart stays just as full of love. For the past two years, he’s been with the rescue, watching other dogs find their homes while he patiently hopes his turn will come. He doesn’t understand why he’s still here—but he never stops being the happy, loving dog he’s always been. Personality Benito is a joyful, affectionate dog who truly loves people. He has a happy, easygoing spirit and brings warmth wherever he goes. He enjoys being around others, soaking up attention, and simply being part of a family. He’s the kind of dog who greets you with happiness, stays close, and makes you feel like you matter. His love is genuine, steady, and always there. Breed Info As an Australian Shepherd / Dalmatian mix, Benito carries traits of: Intelligence and awareness A loyal, people-focused nature A balanced mix of energy and companionship This mix creates a dog who is engaged, loving, and adaptable, happy to be active but also content just being with his people. Ideal Home Benito would do best in a home where he is finally given the love and stability he has been waiting for. He will thrive with a family who includes him in daily life and gives him the attention he deserves. Owner Responsibilities Benito will need regular exercise, routine, and continued care. Like all dogs, he requires structure, guidance, and a lifelong commitment. Things to Consider He has been waiting longer than most. Please consider opening your home to a dog who truly deserves a chance. Sometimes the ones who wait the longest are the ones who love the hardest. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and love, Benito will finally get the life he’s been waiting for. Veterinary Care Benito is fully vetted, but we always recommend bringing him to your own veterinarian after adoption to continue his care. Important Note Benito is an indoor family dog. Story
Meet Benny! Looking for a brilliant best friend? This adorable Border Collie/Aussie mix is as smart as he is sweet! Weighing in at about 30 lbs, Benny is a focused learner who is already crate-trained, house-trained, and rides well in the car. He has mastered sit and shake, and is nearly there with the 'stay' command, showing just how much he enjoys having a job to do. Benny thrives on mental stimulation, loves a game of fetch, and gets along well with other dogs. He is at his most relaxed while playing in a fenced backyard, where he is comfortable and unfazed by outside noises. While he is an affectionate companion who loves to follow his person everywhere, he is also a sensitive dog currently working with trainers to overcome a fear of moving vehicles and bicycles. Because he bonds so deeply, he needs a savvy owner who can provide the structure and positive reinforcement he needs to feel secure when others approach. In fact, if you're a bit of a homebody who prefers the company of a loyal dog over a crowd of people, you and Benny might be the perfect match! Benny is doing well with his muzzle training and consistent management, and he is working hard to be the best version of himself. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play. His adoption includes two free training sessions with Clementine Dog Training to help set up a strong foundation. If you are looking for a smart, loyal companion and have the heart to help a sensitive dog shine, Benny is your boy! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. His adoption fee is $200. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Story
Meet Misio — Your Sweet, Goofy Teddy Bear! ❤️Misio is a cuddly, medium-energy Australian Shepherd (35–37 lbs) who loves people, long walks, sniffing adventures, and relaxing near his humans. He warms up instantly and enjoys respectful kids. His crossed-paw lounging pose and little tuft of hair by his eye make him extra charming.Misio is house-trained, crate-trained, and well-mannered in the home—though he’ll counter-surf if food is within reach. He knows basic commands and is very food-motivated. He walks best on a long leash and settles nicely after the initial excitement. He rides well in a crate. He should be an only pet. He can pass some dogs politely but is unpredictable with others and doesn’t like sharing toys. No cats. He’s fine around livestock when supervised. He loves kids but will react if handled roughly, so he needs a home with respectful boundaries.Misio is healthy, takes a few supplements, and is at a great weight after losing 16 lbs. He still prefers gentle handling around his collar and during grooming, but he has made wonderful progress.A fenced yard and positive-reinforcement family would be ideal. Misio is affectionate, goofy, loyal, and ready for a home that appreciates both his adventurous side and his snuggly one.Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.
