Story
Juno is a 1½ year old Australian Shepherd mix. She is a bit shy at first but give her a few minutes and she will be cuddling in your arms. Juno would love to accompany you on walks and hiking. Her favorite thing in the world is playing in water. Juno tried apartment living, but it didn’t suit her. This happy, active girl would love to live in a home with a fenced yard where she can romp and play. She is a happy girl who gets along well with other dogs and with cats. She loves people and would do well with kids eight and older. Juno loves to sleep on the bed with you but she will sleep quietly in her crate. She is housetrained. She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and has been microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. For more information call/text Kirsty at (435) 671-0985 or email Kirsty.ju@gmail.com.

Story
Maverick is a 3 year old male Australian shepherd. He weighs about 60 lbs and is in good health, Maverick is also fixed. He is very obedient, and house trained. He is a pleasant and cuddly dog, he will follow you around anywhere. He does have some separation anxiety. He is currently medicated for it but could probably get by with enough exercise, the medication has just worked wonders for us. He also occasionally has muscle spasms, we took him to the vet a few times for them but there really aren’t straight answers. They don’t hurt him, just looks a little scary for a few minutes a couple times a year. I LOVE this dog and the only reason I’m giving him up is because I’m going through a divorce and he needs a more stable home. I don’t want money for him, just want to know he is going to a good home.

Story
Charly is a 2yr mini Australian shepherd mix. The sire is unknown, but was described as a "reservation dog" - the dame's owner is native American and her female purebred mini Aussie got surprise impregnated on a trip home. We got Charly at 10 weeks, met her mom & siblings, all seemed fun family pet types. Charly is smart & fun, moderately high energy but also nervous and stand-offish around strangers. We have a 14 yr male cat and 5 yr male lab-mix dog that she gets along great with. Charly rough plays with our cat but they both enjoy it and cuddle nicely after. She is more dominant of our dog but not aggressively so. She has no problem showing her belly to any of our immediate family members. On family gatherings though she hides and acts nervous. She has nipped kids fingers before at least 2x. Clearly seems not the type to be alone with small children, which is our only problem. We're almost "empty-nesters" and new grandparents, and have lots of children around.

Story
Sawyer is a super sweet, shy guy looking for people, and hopefully a well-adjusted dog friend, to help him grow into a confident pup! This 2 year old husky mix came to CAWS from a hoarding situation, so he's used to being around other dogs but needs help learning to socialize with people and new situations. He's a gentle boy who gets along well with older children and teens, but finds young children way too unexpected and, frankly, a little frightening. Sawyer's favorite thing to do is to lay on the back porch of his foster home and watch the neighborhood activities. Because of his history, Sawyer can get a little selfish about his things and his people, so he needs an experienced person who will help him learn to share! Won't you help Sawyer on his journey?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Hi! My name is Cisco (short for Francisco) and I am a Aussie x red heeler mix pup. As far as herding puppies go, I'm pretty laid back. But, I'm definitely no couch potato! I love to play and wrestle with my foster brothers. And, I am really good at taking cues from them, when my puppy antics have become a little too much. My foster mom describes me as smart, athletic, fun and supper cuddly. I'm a social butterfly. I love to meet and play with the neighborhood kids that come to visit me and my brother. I would do well in a home with other dogs and older, dog-savvy kids. I have never met cats; but, because of my herding dog heritage, I would probably want to chase them. My ideal home would be one with a fenced yard to keep me safe while I play and an active family who will take me on long walks and hikes or other outdoor adventures on the weekends. I am crate-trained, about 95% house-broken and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org

Story
HI! My name is Sofia and I am 2-3 yr old female Aussie mix. I have had a bit of a "ruff" start in life-- 3 homes in less than 3 years all due to no fault of my own. My previous owners just couldn't commit to me and have truly failed me. I am a little shy when I first meet you, but I warm up quickly and then am the typical Aussie velcro dog. Where you go, I will follow! I am very sweet and have a moderate energy level-- a daily walk and lots of snuggles on the couch is all I need to live my best life! Children make me very nervous, so a home without kids s a must for me. I can be a little selective when it comes to my doggy friends. I don't like dogs that come on too strong or get in my face. Older, more mellow dogs are OK. I am not a fan of cats, so a furever home that is feline free is a must. I am house-broken, crate-trained, spayed and up-to-date on my vaccinations. This group of dogs is bold, bouncy and love to play. Like the mountains their group is named after, they are a presence that everyone around them knows and loves. These are the dogs that you will see at the dog park and everyone knows their name. This group will need a focus on training so their zeal for life doesn’t intimidate others.
