Story
Maverick is a 3 year old male Australian shepherd. He weighs about 60 lbs and is in good health, Maverick is also fixed. He is very obedient, and house trained. He is a pleasant and cuddly dog, he will follow you around anywhere. He does have some separation anxiety. He is currently medicated for it but could probably get by with enough exercise, the medication has just worked wonders for us. He also occasionally has muscle spasms, we took him to the vet a few times for them but there really aren’t straight answers. They don’t hurt him, just looks a little scary for a few minutes a couple times a year. I LOVE this dog and the only reason I’m giving him up is because I’m going through a divorce and he needs a more stable home. I don’t want money for him, just want to know he is going to a good home.

Story
Charly is a 2yr mini Australian shepherd mix. The sire is unknown, but was described as a "reservation dog" - the dame's owner is native American and her female purebred mini Aussie got surprise impregnated on a trip home. We got Charly at 10 weeks, met her mom & siblings, all seemed fun family pet types. Charly is smart & fun, moderately high energy but also nervous and stand-offish around strangers. We have a 14 yr male cat and 5 yr male lab-mix dog that she gets along great with. Charly rough plays with our cat but they both enjoy it and cuddle nicely after. She is more dominant of our dog but not aggressively so. She has no problem showing her belly to any of our immediate family members. On family gatherings though she hides and acts nervous. She has nipped kids fingers before at least 2x. Clearly seems not the type to be alone with small children, which is our only problem. We're almost "empty-nesters" and new grandparents, and have lots of children around.

Story
We got Wood about four years ago. He’s been such a good dog! He lives in a house with three kids and plays great with them and their friends. Recently, I’ve started having terrible allergies that are causing me issues. Because of that, we’ve kept him outside a lot of the time, unless it’s too cold, or at night we bring him in. This has helped my allergies and worked well. But we’ve recently needed to sell our house and see now in an apartment, where we can’t keep him outside for long periods of time. I’d love to find a home for him that can keep him inside, and ideally have children for him to play with.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey there! I’m Vegemite, I’m about 1 1/2 years old, and I’m a Miniature Australian Shepherd. Before you continue reading about me, I have to get one thing clear: I have very specific needs and I am *NOT* a dog for inexperienced dog owners. I’ve come a long way, so my foster mom will only adopt me out to someone who will continue to put in the work to make me the best boy in the world. I’m not a terrible dog, in fact, my foster mom thinks I’m a great boy. She’s always calling me a little lover. But it’s extremely important I go to a home with someone who knows how to handle a dog like me and is prepared to do so.  Meeting new people really scares me. Seriously— I’ll put on a whole show out of fear and don’t like new people getting too close to the people I know and trust. I’ve gotten a LOT better with it, but it‘s work I need to continue.  I can be neutral around other dogs with very close supervision, but my foster mom would feel more comfortable with me going to a home with no other dogs. I don’t like other dogs near my crate, I don’t like other dogs near my food, and sometimes I don’t like other dogs near my people. Short, supervised time with other dogs is okay, but it’s safer overall for me to be an only dog. I’m working on it, and am slowly being able to spend more time around my foster brothers. I am cat friendly with dog-savvy cats though! So hey, I’ve got that going for me at least!  I know, I’m making myself sound horrible. I swear I’m not actually as awful as I sound… I just have low confidence. So really, what I’m trying to get at, is I need someone that is 110% committed to continue the work of building my confidence. My foster mom has been doing that by teaching me new things, doing some desensitization training, and providing me strong boundaries and strict rules. After all, that’s what all dogs thrive on, right? Now that I’ve got all that out of the way, if you’re still reading this and still interested in me, we can get to the good parts.  Like I mentioned, I’m good with dog-savvy cats, and I LOVE kids!!! I bond quickly, and once I realize you’re a safe person, I just want to be your very best friend. I love to cuddle and give you all the kisses!  I’m potty trained, I don’t mark in the house, and I’m crate trained! A crate is necessary for me, not optional. While I’m not destructive, it’s needed in my training so I have a safe space all to myself, especially when new people come over.  I know sit, down, sit pretty, and place. I can even jump into your arms for you to catch me! I am very eager to learn and training is such a great way for us to bond too!  I get the zoomies and I love to play with toys. Kongs and a good chew are really enjoyable too. I enjoy walks and I’d be an awesome hiking partner. Mental stimulation and physical activity are equally important to me! I know I sound like a dog who will be a lot of work, but I’m ready to find my forever person who can give me what I need. If that’s you, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 3:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Let me introduce myself, I’m Kevin the Minion. I’ve been described as 100% pure sunshine, a sweet, friendly, smart and loving dog. Like namesake I’m a playful guy in a cute little package. My foster mom says I’m an Aussie/Border Collie mix so when I’m full grown I’ll probably be about 40-50 lbs, but right now I’m just a 5 month old furry ball of fun. I love to play fetch and can catch a ball mid-air. I also love to chew on my toys and have pretty much learned what is a doggie toy and what I’m not supposed to chew on. I am really good on my leash and love to walk with my foster pack. My foster sister and I love to romp and play together. I also like to use my brain to solve treat puzzles and I quickly learned how to use my paws and nose to find all my yummy treats. I’ve mastered sleeping the whole night in my crate as well as some basic commands like sit and lay down, I’m still working on not jumping up. Since I am a herding breed I’m also learning that little humans are not sheep and I get a stern correction every time I nudge my human foster brother with my nose, I’ll need an owner who can continue to reinforce this. As for potty training I’m 100%, I think I’ve actually trained my foster mom, when I nudge her with my nose she knows to open the door to let me out to do my business. I’m working on learning how to use the doggy door and I know with some practice I’ll be a pro in no time. I love to snuggle on my foster mom’s lap or next to her feet while she works and I’m quiet when she’s on her work conference calls. I’d love a family who will continue my training, play with me and take me on lots of walks. Oh yeah, I can’t forget hugs and cuddles, I’ll need lots of those too! If you think you’d like to be my forever family please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 3:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey is anyone here a hugger?  I sure am, hi everyone my name is Battle!  I’m a 4 year old Aussie mix, weighing in at 30 lbs. Loving on you and giving the sweetest hugs is my trademark.  I love people of all ages, all dogs, and I think I would be great with cats.  I’m great in a crate and on a leash.  The 3 others in my current pack only have one complaint and that’s that I try to steal all their snuggle time .  I’m a pretty mellow and very sweet boy, but I sure love my exercise time!  I’m living in a house for the first time so the house can be a little scary and I’m still not sure what’s ok to play with, but I’m really getting the hang of it!  I’m working on potty training as well, but I’m so smart and really want to please you so I’ll have it down in no time.  If you want to meet me head on over to https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  and ask for Battle….we can start off with a hug and hopefully you’ll be my battle buddy for life.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 3:18 pm
