Story
Milly is a Mini Red Tri Australian Shepherd. We acquired her from a friend who bought her brother in a litter. She is potty trained, and crate trained. Milly is trained to follow you off leash on a hike or a run. She can also follow basic commands. She has been on many trail runs and fishing trips. She's great at playing fetch and loves being outside. Milly will truly be right by your side like a best friend when she warms up to you and get's to know you. She is instinctually a very anxious and nervous dog. Her ideal situation would be a family with no young kids or other dogs or animals. Patience is key when getting to know her. Additionally, a yard would be helpful for her to run around daily. We are saddened to have to make this decision as she has shown a pattern of aggressive behavior towards our 2-year-old son. We have weighed our options and decided she needs a different environment to thrive.

Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Jax! At about 1 year old, Jax came to CAWS from a situation where he had been a completely outside dog and was very under socialized. And yet, Jax is a very sweet boy who loves people though he tends to be on the shy side. In a short amount of time, Jax has already learned so much and will continue to grow as he discovers that things like leashes and car rides aren't so scary after all. He knows 'sit' and is working on many other commands; he loves to chew on his toys and slowly exploring the world of 'fetch.' Jax loves his crate, and he's equally happy to lay at your feet. While Jax does love people of all ages, including young kids, he would do best in home with older children who are calmer as he can get overwhelmed. He also needs another dog who is comfortable, playful but calm and confident to help teach and guide Jax in his learning journey. He is currently living with another dog and a cat, and he loves playing with them both. Jax had made significant progress while being in his foster home and he will continue to flourish and grow in a calm and patient home. Is yours the home for him? If so, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Jax's adoption fee is $200.
