Story
Here's what you need to know about me:I'm Bandit an Australian Shepherd mix. Not only am I handsome, I'm crate trained, house trained and get along great with other dogs - basically I'm the kind of roommate everyone wants. One small quirk? Car rides aren't my favorite (I get a little carsick), so Im more of a "let's stay close to home" kind of guy. Neighborhood adventures > road trips.I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them.I need a space of my own. I sometimes have a hard time sharing my treats, toys, or bed with other pets. Ask an adoption counselor for more information. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you. Walks, hikes, and trips to the beach or river all sound like a grand time to me!I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!Watch out, I have mastered the art of irresistible puppy-dog eyes! There is a 100% chance I will make you fall in love with me!Are you ready for me and you to be stuck like glue? The type of home I'm looking for: I need to go to a home without small children. Story
Guinness is a 7 month old Australian/English Shepherd mix. He weighs 35 pounds and is up to date on all vaccines. He was born blind in his left eye but doesn't know it and has no barriers from it. He is a confident puppy with a very friendly and outgoing personality. He’s the best car rider, it puts him to sleep usually, and loves to go anywhere. He's great with other dogs who want to play. He has a curiosity about cats but hasn’t been around them much. While he is friendly with kids, he hasn’t quite mastered not jumping or mouthing which might not be suited for small children. His energy level is on the high side, typical for his breed. He's house and crate trained and reliably knows commands - sit, down, stay, and go to your bed. He's making steady progress on calm greetings/anti-jumping and impulse control. He still needs the most work on leash and not mouthing. Sadly, my circumstances changed and I cant give him the stimulation and activity he deserves and needs.
