Story
We rescued a litter of five Australian Shepherd puppies from a young man who had an accidental litter and was overwhelmed when the puppies were 5 weeks old. They will be 8 weeks old and ready to go to their new homes the first week of June. We have found homes for a couple of them but are still in need of special homes for one female (eye patch) that we call “Bunny” and one male (eye shadow) that we call “Theo’dorable.” We own and operate a doggy daycare and boarding business so these puppies are well socialized, learning bite inhibition/basic manners/potty training, and mostly kennel trained already. They are such sweet and smart pups! I was able to meet both parents of the litter who were very alert and loving. These puppies will be about 55 pounds full grown, athletic, active, and wonderful lifelong companions/fuzzy family members. We have a vet appointment for all of them on May 31st. We hope that you have room in your heart and home for one of these amazing babies!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
In Fort Rock, Oregon Hi, I'm Penelope! I'm a year and a half old energetic girl looking for a home where I can run and play fetch, go on frequents hikes, roll in the grass and curl up on your bed or sofa. I'm 53 lbs, strong and an extremely fast runner - but gentle taking treats from your hand! I'm spayed, up to date on all vaccinations. I love hugs and belly rubs! I love playing with other dogs, wrestling, and a good game of chase. I have a little initial fear of new people and other dogs but warm up quickly. I've learned a lot of new commands and manners at my foster home, but you'll be able to teach me even more because I'm a good listener! I'm a hugger and a kisser, so hopefully you are too. If you have another energetic canine for me to play with that would be the best, I love having a buddy my size! If Penelope sounds like a great fit for you, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/old-adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Courtesy Post - Owner Surrender/Rehoming - Milwaukee, OR Meet Chopper! He is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd that weighs 25 lbs. He isn’t neutered or on heartworm preventatives but is up to date on his shots. Chopper would thrive as the only animal in the home due to his fear of dogs, cats and kids. Chopper is food aggressive. He is also scared of strangers because his previous owner kept him in a crate. He is being surrendered because his owner doesn’t have the time to train or exercise him, due to a change in his work schedule. This boy will need a patient adopter to help him become more confident. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible please! If you think you can provide a great home for Chopper, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in rehoming Chopper. Owner’s Contact Information: Billy Anderson at (971) 666-8315 (text preferred) or billygotskills@gmail.com.

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Corvallis, OR Meet Artie! He is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix (the other breed is unknown) and weighs 50 lbs. Story
Moe is 7 and a half, adopted from the oregon humane society in 2017, he is an Australian Shepherd / Pitty mix, up to date on shots. He is a very sweet and loyal boy, loves going for walks, camping, chasing squirrels and taking naps. Likely looking for an active home that can give him lots of attention and play time. Moe is energetic, and free spirited, but loves to follow you around and be your buddy. Moe has been around children, though infrequently, and has behaved appropriately. Some things to know: Moe is very enthusiastic about new guests, he barks when overstimulated. He does a good job of knowing what's his, but may get into things left open. May struggle with recall, but seems to be very trainable, his walks have all been on a leash in recent years as he gets distracted easily. Moe was also abandoned by his last owner, and appreciates consistency and loyalty. Moe has many toys, treats, and bedding that he is familiar with and can bring along with him.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Hartman Marina! A striking Shepard/Terrier mix he is a fine looking fellow. Hartman is white with beautiful brindle marking around each eye and a little brindle patch on his back. He is a real looker. This little pup had a rough start into the world. He was abandoned and left for dead along with his brother Fred under a bridge in Baytown, TX. He luck would soon turn around after he was spotted by a boating couple on their way back to the Marina. They say all they saw in the darkness of night were a pair of glowing eyes on the shore and as they approached a second pair of eyes peeked out from behind a rock and just like that they were saved. Hardman is a sweet kind medium level energy pup who does well with adults and teenagers. He is also friendly with cats. He enjoys playing in the yard and playing tug of war. He also likes to look at himself in the floor mirror and then try finding the dog on the other side. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He would want nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with you during movie night. He is still a puppy so he will need a patient family that is ready for training, socialization, and all the things that come with raising a puppy. He is currently working on potty training, crate training, and learning to sit. He also enjoys nibbling on toes. Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journeys through the links below!
