**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Story
**This is a courtesy post, this dog is NOT in the care of Bradford's Second Chance Rescue** Daisy is a 6-year-old spayed Australian Shepherd who is fully vaccinated, healthy, and has no known veterinary concerns. She is currently being fostered by us after we took her in from a family member who was no longer able to keep her.Daisy is an extremely sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented dog. She thrives on companionship and loves to be near her people. She is very loving, seeks out attention, and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. She wants to be included in daily life and is happiest when she is spending time with her family.Daisy does have some behavioral challenges that potential adopters should be aware of. She can be reactive toward other dogs, particularly unfamiliar dogs, and has shown possessive behaviors around toys and food. Because of this, we believe Daisy would do best as the only dog in the home. We also recommend an adult-only home where her environment can be more predictable and her boundaries can be respected.Daisy’s previous environment likely contributed to some of these challenges. She was often tied up indoors or allowed to roam off-leash outside with little structure or training and was expected to act as a guard dog. She was surrendered due to an incident where she nipped at an Amazon driver. She has never inflicted a serious bite, and the behavior appeared consistent with her herding instincts combined with a lack of training and appropriate management.Since being in our care, Daisy has made significant progress. We have potty trained her and begun basic obedience training, and she responds very well to consistency, routine, and clear expectations. She is intelligent, eager to learn, and benefits greatly from structure.Daisy would do best in an active home with someone who understands herding breeds and is committed to continuing her training. She needs daily exercise, mental stimulation, and regular engagement with her people. She is not a dog who will thrive if left alone for long periods or without adequate outlets for her energy and intelligence. We are working to find Daisy the right permanent home where she can continue to grow and succeed. We are happy to answer questions, share what we have learned about her, and help ensure she is matched with an adopter who understands her needs and is prepared to provide the structure, patience, and commitment she deserves.Daisy is a loving, loyal dog who deserves a stable, patient, and engaged adult home where she can thrive as the center of someone’s world. Please email the current owner at katherineramx@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting Daisy! ##2758429##

Story
Meet Tsosie - a sweet, loyal girl looking for her perfect home.Tsosie is around 4 years old and absolutely loves people. She’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s curled up near her humans or getting attention. She enjoys relaxing at home, going on walks, and being part of the family. She would do best as the only pet in the home. While she’s wonderful with people, she becomes stressed around other dogs and needs a calm environment where she doesn’t have to share space with them. Because of this, we’re looking for a home experienced with dogs or someone committed to giving her a structured, loving environment where she can thrive. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and we’re committed to finding her the right fit — not just the fastest fit. We’ll happily answer questions and want to make sure it’s a great match for both her and her future family. She deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved, and fully relaxed.

Story
This is my sweet boy Jock. I never imagined having to write a profile like this for him. Following the end of our relationship, our family circumstances have changed in ways that make it impossible for us to give him the home and consistency he deserves. He has been a beloved member of our family since he was a puppy, and making this decision has been heartbreaking. My only goal is to find a home where he can continue to thrive, be loved, and receive the time, structure, and companionship that make him so happy. Whoever welcomes Jock into their life will be getting a truly special dog. ❤️Jock is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who recently celebrated his birthday on Memorial Day. He is a loving, sweet, playful, and energetic boy who brings joy and laughter wherever he goes. Deeply people-oriented, Jock loves being close to his family and fully believes he’s a lap dog—he will happily curl up beside you (or on you) whenever given the chance.
