Meet incredible Mojo💙, a resilient pup who's overcome adversity and is now ready to thrive😻! He's just over a year old, 50lbs, and boasts a unique appearance that's sure to captivate. With a heart of gold💛 , Mojo is one of the kindest dogs you'll ever meet, and his calm demeanor makes him a true gem💎. It's fascinating to imagine his breed mix, but one thing's certain - he's a natural-born herder with a flair for the dramatic. Mojo's piercing blue eyes, distinctive coat, and ridiculously soft fur make him a true showstopper, and his big fluff tail is the icing on the cake😍. We're utterly smitten with this charming boy!🥰 How could anyone abandon such a treasure to face an uncertain fate in a high kill shelter? We're thrilled to have saved him from euthanasia just in the nick of time, and now he's ready to find his forever home🏡 . As a neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped pup, Mojo is all set to bring joy to his new family🤩. He's fantastic with dogs of all sizes, from tiny puppies to larger companions, and he's a total loverboy at heart❤️ . From his foster: “Ralphie – Your Adventure Co-Star1 year old | 48 lbs | Australian Shepherd MixRalphie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and wants to truly be part of your life. He’s intelligent, expressive, and athletic — a classic working-breed mix who thrives when he has structure, purpose, and connection. At one year old, and still figuring out the world, he can be sensitive in new situations and has shown some fear-based reactivity in the past. The good news? With structure and training, he has been making wonderful progress and building confidence every single day. He is looking for experienced, steady leadership to help him continue that upward trajectory. He would do best in:• An adult-only home (no young children)• An active household that enjoys walks, hikes, and enrichment• A secure yard (he’s athletic and curious!)• A home with breed experience and commitment to continued training    ##2622392##

He will try to get out any where he is. I have to put him on trazodone during new years and 4th of July holidays. He has been getting out of our backyard during the day a few times a week now, which im guessing is because he is bored & not stimulated enough. Only to the best home & w/ acreage or a farm. These dogs cant be in a small home or apt. Txt 9717627678 for more info.

Story
Josey - Sponsored by Casey JohnsonMeet JoseyJosey is a beautiful female Australian Shepherd with a sensitive soul and a heart full of love waiting to bloom. She first came to the shelter as a stray and spent months evading rescue efforts, too frightened to trust the people trying to help her. When she was finally brought to safety, it was clear that Josey had been through a lot and would need time to learn that the world can be kind. When you first meet her, she may seem nervous or unsure. The world can feel a little overwhelming to Josey at times, and when she’s frightened her first instinct is to run. Because of this, she will need a secure, fully fenced yard and a family who understands that off-leash adventures won’t be the right fit for her—especially during her first several months in a new home.Josey is looking for a calm, patient, and experienced dog owner who will let her move at her own pace. She needs someone who understands that trust is something special to be earned, not rushed. For the person willing to give her that time and understanding, the reward is extraordinary.Once Josey feels safe, she forms a deep and devoted bond with her person. She becomes incredibly affectionate, offering sweet, gentle kisses and happily sticking close by your side. More than anything, Josey wants to be near her people—her safe place. This lovely girl may need patience at first, but for the right home, she will return that patience with a lifetime of quiet loyalty and deep love. Josey isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for her person. And for someone willing to give her the time she deserves, she will be worth every moment. If you believe in the beauty of earning a shy dog’s trust, Josey may be the perfect companion for you.If you are interested in meeting Josey, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday 11am – 6pm, Sunday 11am – 4pm.If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Story
Meet Dutch🤎, a stunningly handsome and charming almost 2-year-old boy with a rich, chocolate-brown coat and captivating blue eyes that sparkle with kindness🥰. This loving boy was welcomed into a wonderful family in the San Diego area about 8 months ago. Initially, Dutch was more reserved and fearful when rescued from the shelter, but with time, he blossomed into a confident companion for his family, except for the husband, around whom he seems anxious and stressed. Despite the husband's patient and loving approach, Dutch remains wary, prompting his family to consider finding a new home where he can thrive without fear. With his current family, Dutch has formed strong bonds with the wife and kids, who adore him dearly, but they've come to realize that a woman-only household might be the perfect solution for Dutch to live a stress-free life. His family believes Dutch may have had a negative experience with a man in the past, which has led to his hesitation around men unless they exhibit familiar characteristics. Importantly, Dutch has never shown aggression and is great with cats and other dogs, making him an excellent addition to any household. He's potty-trained, crate-trained, and loves spending time in his crate and bed. Dutch is neutered, vaccinated, and chipped, and his current family is heartbroken but hopeful that he'll find a loving home🏡 where he can receive all the love and care he deserves. If you're thinking of adding a loving companion to your family and believe you'd be the perfect match for Dutch, get your application in ASAP! This gorgeous boy will undoubtedly capture your heart💗with his loving nature.😻 Currently being cared for in Southern California, Dutch can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome him.
