Story
Azula is a pure Australian Shepherd who needs a new loving home. We purchased her from a breeder in Eastern Oregon on February 16th, 2020. She received all her puppy vaccinations (including prantel, pamoate, and parvo) from the breeder and has been receiving yearly vaccines and flea medication since. Azula is a very affectionate dog who loves people. She instantly warms up to strangers and we often joke that she's found new owners whenever we have visitors. Azula would do best in a home with a fenced yard or large property. She can be anxious towards other dogs (barks/whines). No history of violence or biting, she has always gone to the dog groomer without issues. Azula loves playing fetch, rolling in the grass, and greeting her family with joyful jumps. With our second baby arriving this summer, we are finding it increasingly difficult to give Azula the attention and care she deserves. Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2XdoVX6fUo

Story
Australian Shepherd + Labrador Retriever + German Shepherd Mix 10 months old Male 35 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No I don’t want to seem like a show-off or anything, but I am pretty sweet, and friendly, and affectionate with people... unless I am on leash! Goodness do I need help with my leash manners, I can pretty grumpy meeting new people and dogs on leash. I won’t mind sharing my home with kids 10+, or other dogs. I mean, they are all so much fun to play with! But I’m not to sure how to be friends with a kitty. I could run and wrestle and romp all day! I’m a pretty happy boy with a great attitude and a curious demeanor. I’ve got the brains to excel at arithmetic, but who am I kidding…I just can’t wait for recess! I’m super smart, playful, eager to please, and longing to be loved; so a family that is committed to working on continued training, giving me lots of guidance and structure is exactly what I need. I am teenager who is rebelling a little bit and need someone to help rein it in! Why not come in and meet me? I want so badly to show off what a cute fella I am! My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

***** Apply to adopt at: https://greatheartk9.com/finn ***** Finn is a 4.5 year old ‘mini’ Australian Shepherd. As with his breed, he is full of energy and extremely smart!! His favorite thing is to play fetch. He absolutely loves to learn new things and train. He enjoys putting his brain to work for mealtime with various puzzles and snuffle mats. Finn has challenges on walks with regards to reactivity towards people and dogs and will require continued training. He will also need his adopter to continue working on noise desensitization to triggers. Finn is on behavior modification medications and these will need to be continued for him to thrive. Finn is searching for a special person who is calm, patient and committed to positive reinforcement training. He would do best in a house with a large yard with space from neighbors and is used to his human working from home.. He cannot be in a home with either cats Please email any additional questions: hello@greatheartk9.com

Story
Introducing Jazz! 🎉 A charming one-year-old dog in search of her forever home. Jazz is a sweet and gentle girl who loves to explore and play in ponds. 🌊 Her love for playing in the pond makes her a great companion for trips to the lake or beach! Jazz absolutely adores kids, though her bouncy nature means she’d do best in a home with children aged 6 and up. She also dreams of having a doggy friend to play with! Her favourite game is fetch with the ball, and she delights in chewing on her Nu-bones. 🎾🦴 When meeting new people and dogs, Jazz approaches with curiosity and a calm demeanor. While she might be a bit reserved at first, she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. Jazz interacts well with other dogs, showing playful interest after an initial period of adjustment. On the leash, Jazz does well but would benefit from additional training to build her confidence and improve her skills. She’s a fast learner and very treat-motivated, so she'll be a pro in no time. 🐾 Jazz is curious about cats but doesn’t seem overly fixated on them, demonstrating a respectful interest rather than any aggressive tendencies. She could live in a home with a dog-savvy cat! 🐱 This young dog is still learning about the world around her, and a patient, loving home would be ideal to help her continue to grow and thrive. If you’re ready to give Jazz the space and care she needs, she’s sure to reward you with loyalty and affection. 💖 Adoption link https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a7ba7d8d8cc5f9e4057063 Questions? Story
Are you ready for a whirlwind of joy and excitement? Look no further than Penny Smith, our 2-year-old Aussie Lab mix (we think! With rescue it's always a mystery) with a heart as big as her crystal blue eyes or Texas! Found on a rainy and stormy Texas night, this 40-pound bundle of wiggly energy was rescued by two compassionate souls. Her rescuers saw the sparkle in her eyes and knew she was destined for greatness. Penny is not just a dog; she's a full-on adventure partner! With her boundless energy and playful spirit, she’s always up for a game of fetch with her favorite Nerf Chuck It balls or a thrilling round of hide and seek (we won't give away her go to spot!). We recently discovered that Penny seems to be a fan of water too! This clever girl is a quick learner and loves to show off her smarts, but she could use a bit of help with her leash skills—after all, every adventurer needs a trusty guide! When she's not running around like a goofball, Penny enjoys lounging in the yard, basking in the sun, and stargazing on her back after a long day of play. Spread out a blanket on a clear night and Penny will lay right by your side star gazing! She is also always up for a good ole cuddle session! This snuggle bug would thrive with a doggy sibling and a yard to call her own. Penny is also cat-friendly and would do well with older kids who can match her energetic pace. Penny will need a home with an experienced family familiar with her breed, where patience and commitment are key. With the right love, time and guidance, Penny will become your loyal companion, always ready to brighten your days with her smile and uncontainable zest for life. If you're ready for a life full of laughter, play, and endless adventures, Penny Smith is the one for you. Apply today and see how this total goofball can steal your heart and become the star of your life’s next big adventure!
