MEET MILEY! Miley is an 11-month-old brindle Australian Shepherd mix, recently rescued from an overcrowded California shelter. She contracted a severe case of parvo at the shelter but has now fully recovered. Miley is currently in a foster home where she spends time with other dogs -- and she is great with cats and puppies. Miley loves toys and water. She's very gentle and friendly with people and would do great with an active person or people. Please email for an application.

Story
Hi, my name is Maple! I'm a red tri Aussie mix, about 9 months old. I am up to date on medical, heartworm negative and have been spayed. I am still a puppy and I have puppy energy! I love to run and play with other dogs, but chase cats. My perfect furever home would be with a family who knows and understands herding dogs. I am Aussie mix, so need a family who understands I need physical and mental exercise. Training would be great, as I learn to trust you. I learn very quickly! I am doing some leash training, but need to work on that. I love other dogs! I am very active and still a bit of a clumsy puppy, so no young children, older kids might be OK with proper introductions I am spayed and up to date on all my vaccines. My foster mom named me Maple because I am the color of Maple syrup and I am a sweet girl who just wants to belong to my furever family! Maple is located in Portland, OR If she sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Ariel, WA Meet Remington (Remy)! He is an 5 year old Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix and weighs 70 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Remington is nervous around strangers. He is great with children! No cats, chickens, or dogs, due to his reactivity! The owner is surrendering him because he keeps fighting with another dog in the home. He needs to go immediately! If you think you can provide a great home for Remington, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Remington. Owner’s Contact Information: Kayla Heuton at (818) 620-0054 or kaylaheuton@gmail.com.

Story
Are you looking for a big boy who is really goofy and sweet?? Meet Declan, a 55 lbs aussie cross who was found as a stray. He is a big chunky boy with a great bone, head, and a big floofy tail. He is a young dog, probably a little over one. Declan is up to date on vaccines, potty trained, and will be neutered shortly. He loves to be outside, and uses the doggie door to come and go, but sleeps inside in the kitchen. He doesn't know a lot of commands, but walks well on a leash. He gives kisses, and meets people and other dogs with sniffing and a tail wag. He has not been tested on cats or children, but think he would be fine with older children with proper introductions. Declan is in Portland, OR and will be available mid-May after his neuter. If you would like to make him part of your family, here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
This sweet, fun girl is Kitty. She was born in January 2022 and is a fluffy little bullet! Kitty loves to play fetch and enjoys sticks. She is an Aussie Sheppy mix, which is an intelligent and active breed. Kitty needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation. She would love training as it gives her an opportunity to learn.  She would do well with a male playmate and enjoys older kids. Kitty is a master hole digger and a lover of all treats. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, crate and house trained.  Kitty looks heavy, but the vet assures us that she's just a floof. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
