Story
Daisy is an extremely sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented dog. She thrives on companionship and loves to be near her people at all times. She is very loving, seeks out attention, and gives lots of affection in return. She has been wonderful with her foster family and she is great with kids she is familiar with. We haven’t had the opportunity to expose her to unfamiliar children, so her behavior in that setting is currently unknown. Daisy can be reactive to unfamiliar dogs when on leash, but has been improving with that & will continue to improve with continued training. Daisy has done well with cats previously but would prefer to be the only dog in the home.Daisy is such a love bug with people and just needs another shot with a family that will give her the time and attention she deserves!     ##2687640##

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Interested in becoming a forever home for Copper? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Copper. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Copper the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Axel is energetic and loving. We have been together since he was 8 weeks old. He has lived with various other dogs (big and small), a couple of cats (however he does like to chase the cats), and children (ages 0-13). He is house trained, leash trained, kennel trained, and he knows various commands including sit, stay, come, down, off, and spin. If there are no other animals in the area, he responds well off-leash as well. He is up-to-date on his shots. He loves going on runs, playing fetch, cuddling, and squeak toys. This decision has been very difficult for us as we love Axel and he is a great companion. Unfortunately, we have not been able to provide for him as well as we want to with starting a new family. We believed we could do well, but his quality of life has declined (less walks, less interaction) and he deserves better.

Story
Mojo is a truly special dog—gentle, sweet, and incredibly kind-hearted. At 13 years old, he’s been a loyal and loving companion, always calm, well-mannered, and full of quiet affection. He has brought so much joy over the years and deserves a home where he can continue to feel cherished every single day. With our busy lives, we haven’t been able to give him the time and attention he truly deserves. As an Aussie, he thrives on regular walks, a bit of grooming, and, most of all, lots of love and companionship. Mojo would make a wonderful addition to just about any home—whether it’s a family, a couple, or someone simply looking for a devoted best friend. He has so much love left to give, and he’s ready to share it with someone who can give him the care and attention he deserves.

Story
From his foster: “Ralphie – Your Adventure Co-Star1 year old | 48 lbs | Australian Shepherd MixRalphie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and wants to truly be part of your life. He’s intelligent, expressive, and athletic — a classic working-breed mix who thrives when he has structure, purpose, and connection. At one year old, and still figuring out the world, he can be sensitive in new situations and has shown some fear-based reactivity in the past. The good news? With structure and training, he has been making wonderful progress and building confidence every single day. He is looking for experienced, steady leadership to help him continue that upward trajectory. He would do best in:• An adult-only home (no young children)• An active household that enjoys walks, hikes, and enrichment• A secure yard (he’s athletic and curious!)• A home with breed experience and commitment to continued training    ##2622392##
