**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Ruzzo comes from a professional breeder, excellent bloodlines, purebred Australian Shepherd. He has a full file of papers from the breeder. He’s not even three years old yet, he will be three in March next month. Extremely intelligent, very obedient and loves to please, and as a little cuddle bear. He is very dominant when it comes to other animals, dogs. I think he would be best suited for a home/owner where he would be the sole focus of attention. He’s great with kids, great around people. He’s very protective, and very intuitive on your well-being and the environment around him. He loves the outdoors, road trips, camping, wilderness. He is also very content at home on the couch and is kennel trained. Rarely if ever has accidents indoors. Very content with quality dog food, and the occasional fresh dog bone. Dargo was born on August 8th, 2025. He is a red tri mini Australian Shepherd, and of course has a lot of energy. He is potty trained (door bells), free eats (food in his bowl all day), and is crate trained (loves his crate). He still puppy bites a little, and is very playful, and his favorite toy is the Nerf Dog Tuff Tug 3-ring. His favorite treat is an antler chew, and he is a real cuddle bug. He currently eats Purina Pro Plan for puppy, sensitive stomach (salmon + rice). We don't think he has a chicken allergy, but our other dog has one, so we preferred to be safe. We are rehoming him because he doesn't really get along with our other Australian Shepherd, he spends the majority of his time trying to mount her, and he plays a bit rough with her, and she avoids him like the plague. We are also expecting baby #2 and soon won't have time to properly give him the attention he deserves.
