The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit cat and dog rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of cats and dogs from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption to match them to their purrfect family by having them in foster homes so that we can assess their behaviors, how they decompress in a home, and find out more about their unique personalities. We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5-year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives.
