Story
Meet Hardy, the largest of his litter! Hardy is a very sweet boy who wants to be right next to you at all times. His foster mom calls him “wiggly butt” because he is always wagging his tail and is such a happy guy. He gets along with his fellow foster pups and the 2 cats in the house. He is still working on potty training and being quiet in the crate, normal puppy stuff. He recently learned to sit and is practicing lay down. He stays around outside in the yard and listens when to come inside. He is pretty energetic, but after a walk or some play time outside he is ready to chill out and take a nap in the crate. —- Hardy Rescued alongside his siblings in Central Wisconsin, Kenny is a sweet, social, playful, and smart Border Collie mix. He is just as down to snuggle up as he is to run and play. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 3/12/2024 Dog Name: Floyd Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Aussie Mix Approximate Age: 1 year old Approximate Weight: 40-45 lbs. Description: Floyd is a playful boy with a heart of gold! He plays well with all dogs and loves everyone he meets! He has the cutest fluffy ears and big smile! You will fall in love when you meet him!  He's picking up on potty training extremely fast! He learned to sit, lay down and come already and he takes treats gently. At first he was a little hesitant of full staircases, but he's getting better with those too! He walks fairly well on a leash, we have no doubt he will walk great on a leash with some more training. Floyd will cry for 10 minutes after he's put in the crate for the evening, but then he sleeps through the night. He would happily snuggle his humans all day if you'd let him!  Adoption Fee: $500.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. April 15, 2024, 8:03 pm

Story
Gunner is a 3-month-old Heeler mix. He's very sweet & loves to cuddle! Since heelers are herding dogs he'll need plenty of exercise and like all pups, ongoing training. He LOVES outdoors so housebreaking should be a snap! He's dewormed & utd on age-appropriate vaccines. According to the weight calculator, he'll be about a 50lb adult. He's being fostered with dogs of all sizes as well as cats & is doing well. He'll do great with any child who has respectful dog manners.DATCP#483538
