Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 6/24/2024 Dog Name: Kiwi Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Koolie Approximate Age: 8 months to 1 year Approximate Weight: 25 lbs Description:  Kiwi was a stray found in Texas who found her self on death row, this gorgeous sweet girl deserves a chance! She is affectionate and she is hoping to get a second chance at life! She has a soft unique coat, stunning blue eyes and will stay a small/medium size.  Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. July 24, 2024, 8:24 am

Nash, male 9mo old, Australian Shepherd mix, weighs 42lbs Nash is a handsome, fun boy. He came to us as an owner who surrendered to no real fault of his own. Nash is smart and enjoys getting out and about. He was not getting the exercise he needed.  He is hoping for a family that likes to get outside, go hiking, or even better yet, an owner that will tap into his intelligence and maybe do some agility training!  He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with kids. He knows his basic commands, is house trained and crate trained. This gorgeous boy would love an active family that understands that Australian Shepherds are not couch potatoes. Nash is an affectionate loyal companion.   We are located at S47 W30760 State Road 59, North Prairie, WI As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. Story
Hi, this is Scout. We are looking for a new home as our cat hates her, has not warmed up to her at all over the past six months and is very stressed with her around as well as schedule changes not giving us the time necessary to work with her as much as we should as she is a very independent dog. She is 8 months old and would love to have a dog or cat to play with. She would be best in a fenced yard, on a farm(ette) or a pool/lake. She loves the dog park and has been great with kids there. She is house and crate trained, knows sit, down, wait, come. She is still a puppy and occasionally takes things she shouldn't (such as a sandal left out). She will need a family/place that has the time and desire to work with an independent dog. She is not a cuddler but does like to play with her toys with you and she LOVES water. She pulls when leashed but I do think she would be a good jogging partner and be great for someone/a family that would like a dog that does not demand a lot of attention.

Story
My dogs name is Mickelson. He is a 40 lb Australian Shepherd and is 7 years old. Mickelson has completed a lot of training, most recently with Sit Means Sit. Hes extremely intelligent, but this also comes with high anxiety. We live in an apartment and recently blended our families. Unfortunately, Mickelson has become overly protective, showing aggressive behavior. Mick needs space to run and an adopter who can spend time on walks, hikes, and play. Mickelson is reactive to other dogs and people when they are near our home or in new situations. However, he does well on walks, and we get him out as much as we can. Mickelson needs to be re-socialized. I believe he could do well in a home with other dogs, but it will be a process. Wed love to find a quiet home with an active individual or couple who can exercise Mickelson and give him the attention he needs. We believe Mick would be amazing at agility training/competitions, we simply have not had the time to enter. Mick needs a job!
