Story

Arriving January 30th! Bodhi is a handsome 8 week old, male mixed breed puppy. He has a soft golden coat and absolutely loves to cuddle. Bodhi and his littermates were discovered by a good Samaritan when they were just a few weeks old. Bodhi's mom, Lilly, had been sneaking to a nearby home to eat the food that family left out for stray cats. They followed Lilly to her litter in the woods and contacted our rescue partner in Texas for help. Bodhi and his family were lucky that day! He has now grown up in a loving foster home, and is so excited to find his forever family in the midwest. Bodhi was the runt of the litter, and required a little extra care once his litter was discovered. He has grown up the apple of his foster mom's eye, and is used to being spoiled with daily snuggles and cuddles. He adores people of all ages and gets along well with all of his furry foster siblings as well! He has started potty training in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, January 30th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday January 30th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. Meet Molly, she's a great loving dog[loyal to her owners like no other] but unfortunately she needs a home without small children. [Great with older kids] Our two boys 3 & 5 whom are rambunctious; dont always respect her space especially when shes playing with her toys/bones/napping. This is the only time she can get fiesty with them & it's something we are not willing to risk. We are also expecting another baby, and this will just be another worry. Resource guarding can be fixed it will just take time, training and patience and its something we don't have enough of right now. She deserves to be in a home without any restrictions. Other things to note: she will need a fenced yard. Unless you live on a farm/huge lot where its ok for her to roam freely. OR if you have the time to train with shock collar or invisible fence. Shes a protector of the home/property. High energy, needs excerise daily. Crate trained.
