Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on February 7th and arrive on February 8th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 1/11/25 Dog Name: Katniss Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Australian Shepherd Mix Approximate Age: 9 months Approximate Weight: 30 lbs Adoption Fee: $450 Description: Katniss found herself unwanted and in need of a new home, she is sweet and young! She loves kids and is ready for a family who can give her the love and attention she deserves. Katniss is ready to be your best friend, she loves to snuggle and go in walks, she is treat motivated and ready to be in a warm loving home!  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 19, 2025, 1:11 am

Story
Hi, My name is Aruba, and I am part of the Travel Litter. There are 10 of us. We were surrendered to the Georgia shelter as an unwanted litter. We are the cutest and sweetest little puppies. We will arrive in WI on Jan 10 and have been rescued by Mutt Life Dog Rescue of WI. Check us out on the website, Muttlife.org. Can you give me a home and a family to adore? I will be available for adoption after 1/18/25. —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Check out our website for more information on FOSTERING, VOLUNTEERING, or DONATING! www.muttlife.org

Story
Meet Molly, a mini Australian Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. She was found wandering the streets of a rural Texas town, wearing another dog’s tags, but no one came to reclaim her. Instead of heading to a shelter, Molly settled into a loving foster home while she waits for her big journey to Wisconsin. Molly is a sweet, cuddly, and calm girl who adores both dogs and kids. She has a loyal spirit and a joyful personality that makes her an ideal match for first-time dog owners and families alike! If you’re looking for a gentle and loving dog who’s ready to bring the joy, Molly is your girl! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
Loki is a male, toy Aussie that is 4 years old. He is a very intelligent dog that is very loyal to his people, but that is the problem. If you are not his people, he is very frightened, and shakes. He is deeply distrusting of anyone but his people. Developing a relationship will take a little time with him so you would need to be experienced with dogs and take it slower. If you have the time and the patience it will be a very rewarding relationship. As stated earlier he is smart. He knows, sit, stay, lay down, kennel, "whose here", and more. He walks well on a leash, and is of course house trained. He is trained to go into his kennel when you are not home, and at night time. He will obey the command to go into the kennel but hes not a fan of it. He prefers free roam. He does get along with other dogs, and has a brother Bluey who is also up for being rehomed. Fully up to date on shots, and has a clean bill of health. He will come with bowls, kennel, leash, dog mat.
