Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! I love to explore, and is always game for a walk around the neighborhood, going for sniffaries on hiking trails, (I don't even mind sleeping on the ground) going on camping trips, co-piloting errand runs or just soaking up the sun beams while supervising the yard work! He moves with the absolute swiftness of a skilled herding dog. He is every bit as confident and agile as his canine counterparts.Beyond his improved physical abilities, Cotton has continued to make strides in his dog to dog relationships. It’s difficult in the canine world for Aussies that can see and hear. Their intense nature, quick movements, desire to herd, and demand for order can often be misunderstood by other dogs. When the ability to quickly read another dog is diminished by lack of vision or hearing or both- it can easily result in reactivity. Cotton has used his time here to learn to read cues his way.
