Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. Meet Darby! She’s a super happy, gentle, and easy-going girl with lots of love to give her forever family. Darby makes friends easily, greeting new people with full-body wiggles! She may be a bit timid at first when meeting new dogs and may go to humans for reassurance, but she relaxes pretty quickly. She also does well with cats, letting them have plenty of their own space. She would make a wonderful addition to a variety of loving homes! Darby is equally content to cuddle up on the sofa and snooze or to get out and explore the sights and smells of the neighborhood. Her full body wiggles return when her leash appears and it’s time to go for a walk! She does great on the leash— she lets her people set the pace and doesn’t pull. Darby is house trained and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. She hasn’t barked yet but will whimper from time to time if she needs a snack or a little affection. Sometimes she’ll quietly follow her people from room to room to keep them company. Most of the time she’s content to watch the world go by outside the window or snooze on the couch until it’s time to play! This little heart-stealer is eagerly waiting to cuddle up to her forever family and shower them with love! Could Darby be a good fit for you? Darby is estimated to be 2 years old and 30 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, and have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Meet Raya, a sweet 5-year-old Beagle with a gentle heart, a loyal nature, and plenty of love to give. She’s looking for a forever home where she can enjoy a calm, predictable routine and continue blossoming into the wonderful companion she is. Raya is a fairly low-energy girl overall, but mention the words “go for a walk” and suddenly she’s ready to party! She loves her daily walks and dog-park adventures and gets especially excited when she knows an outing is coming. At home, she’s much more relaxed and enjoys simply being near her people. Raya is affectionate and deeply loyal once she trusts you. She’s friendly with women, older kids, and strangers, and she knows her basic obedience. She’s also fully house trained and will let you know she needs to go outside with a little whine. Raya actually does very well with other dogs and tends to warm up to them fairly quickly. Once comfortable, she loves having canine friends to play with. She can be a little protective of her person and does best with calm, thoughtful introductions, but she’s capable of happily sharing her home with other dogs. She does still struggle with men and would prefer minimal interaction with them, although she can successfully cohabitate with a man who respects her space and lets her approach on her own terms. Raya wasn’t much of a talker at first, but she has apparently discovered her inner Beagle! After spending time around a particularly vocal canine friend, she decided barking looked like fun and has started joining in. She’s got opinions now—and occasionally likes to share them.
