You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To speed up the adoption process, please complete our Pre-Adoption Application.Hi! My name is Grayson. I am 6 months old and I weigh 33 lbs. I am a Beagle/Hound mix, and so very handsome. I am a great pup! I love to be around my favorite people, and I get along great with other dogs, too! I am also very smart, and have already learned how to sit and shake! I am currently being potty trained, and getting the hang of it more and more each day!Prior to adoption, I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee: $550 +taxes/feesIf you would like to meet me please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.tailsrescue.orgHappy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5pm. We are located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family. Please fill out a pre-adoption application so we know you are interested in meeting/adopting one of our animals.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.The breeds of our dogs and cats are a 'best guess.' We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a 'full grown size' of many of our younger animals.Interested in adopting me? Story
Daisy Mae is a very energetic girl. She loves playing with other dogs and kids and loves running like crazy. She is adorably cute and she also loves sleeping in the bed at night and cuddling. She also loves balls and hard toys. Soft toys she destroys immediately. She is trained to go outside potty, but can also use a doggie door. She is spayed and microchipped and up to date on everything. Daisy would be best suited for either an older couple or a family with kids a little older and if there was another dog for her to play with. She needs a lot of attention or she gets bored and looks for trouble when left alone. We have tried to meet her needs, but we are not home all the time and she has become destructive to the room we put her in when we leave the house. We currently work out of town 2 days a week and I don't want to have to confine her to a crate during that time, but I am going to have to. She would also benefit from a fenced in yard, which we don't have.

Story
Meet Scout! He is super sweet and “scouts” for pets and kisses. He is as quiet as a mouse, and a super gentle soul. He loves to be by your side and is very friendly with everyone. He is about 3 years old and weighs 40 pounds. He is a happy tail wagging boy!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 1, 2023, 2:46 pm

Story
Masie is a very sweet little girl who wags her tale like mad the minute she sees you. She lays on her back for belly rubs and wants love from her person and to play with other dogs. She goes potty reliably on newspaper and puppy pads. She is an incredibly sweet girl.   Maisie is estimated to be 4.5 months old and 18lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Story
Introducing Ginny, a sweet Beagle mix with a loving personality! This beautiful girl adores people and kids, always greeting them with an infectious enthusiasm. Her gentle nature and affectionate demeanor makes her a cherished companion for families and friends. Ginny does have a particular quirk: she prefers the company of humans over other dogs. She didn’t have the best experiences with other dogs in a former life. This means it takes her a while to warm up to another dog. While she does have some dog friends and even has lived with another dog who she got along with very well, it may take time and patience to introduce her to new doggie friends. Despite her past, her love and loyalty to her human family is unparalleled. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, going for long walks, or playing games with children, Ginny is happiest when surrounded by her favorite people. With patient and understanding owners, Ginny thrives in a loving home where she has lots of people to hang out with. Her individuality and love for human interaction make Ginny a truly one-of-a-kind furry friend, and with the right care and training to help her get used to her new home, she’ll continue to bring immense joy and love into your life for years to come. Senni-Ginny is estimated to be 9 years old and 32 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

Hello, my name is Lily. I am a beautiful female Beagle mix puppy who enjoys pig ears, a delicious kong, freeze dried treats and wrestling with other doggies my size. But ya know what I don’t like…a lot of commotion, being in a crate for a long period; or being left alone. Seriously, would YOU want to be left alone…and then in a box to boot??? I didn’t think so! Anyway, foster mom gives me medications for my anxiety and a possible skin condition but don’t worry…I still love life! Hee, hee!! I am a very athletic girl who loves running & exploring the yard; wrestling with & chasing my resident fur sib; snuggling with my family especially when belly rubs are involved (hint, hint); saying ‘hello’ to all the other dogs that pass by the house when I’m in the yard; following foster mom around everywhere; and taking nice long naps! Hee, hee! Since I love to run, jump, climb, crawl, chase, and explore so much, I think I’d really enjoy agility training. In fact, having more activity in my life might even help with my anxiety! I am great with kids, and I hope to have a doggie companion at my new home. Whoa, I have meet a cat and it would be best if there wasn’t a cat in my forever home because I’m very interested. I am potty trained but do need to go out regularly due to my medications. I have good leash manners, am always eager to please, and I know a bunch of commands like “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “outside”, “go potty”, “leave it”, and “heel”. I am even starting to understand what “fetch” and “quiet” mean…Yes, I am a vocal one so “quiet” would probably be a good one to learn! Hee, hee!! I am a total love bug who simply needs and deserves a VERY special fur-ever family who will not only be patient with me, love me unconditionally, and NEVER give up on me but will be committed to helping me stay healthy and reaching my full potential! I promise that if you rescue me, not only will I rescue you right back, but I will shower you with EVERY ounce of love in my heart! Love, Lily Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
