But don’t worry, my siblings and I had an amazing group of people taking care of us around the clock. I’d describe myself as a curious guy who loves to explore everything around me. New smells? Check. Hidden corners? Yep. Fun adventures with my siblings? Absolutely! Even though I’m the biggest in my litter, I’m a total teddy bear at heart. Hi! My name is Copper, and I am from Arkansas! Copper is nice sized dog at about 3 years old and 25 pounds. He's an affectionate pup that does great with other dogs, and with kids, too! He's been getting practice with his house training and his snuggle mode already, and can't wait to get cozy and soak up some sun with you in Minnesota! Update from Copper’s Minnesota foster: Copper is also great around my two resident cats. He does fine in the kennel while I’m out, but very much prefers snuggles on the couch, and sleeping in bed with humans at night - so is hoping for a family that is open to both! He is doing great with the slower short walks, and in spite of the lack of good exercise, is really a calm, mellow little dude inside. I can tell he wants longer walks, so will be great walking buddy once he is cleared for normal activity. Caring for him is such a pleasure, he’s the goodest boy! I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.
