Story
Male Belgian Malinois, 1 year 2 months old. Neutered. He is intelligent and a quick learner. Ray can seem shy and timid. He doesn't trust new people, but once he figures out they're not dangerous to him, he's a really sweet guy. He is house-trained, sleeps well all night (we don't use a crate but he knows what it is). I would say Ray is a moderate energy level, good with small and large dogs. He is quick to make friends and play very gently on the playground. He knows "sit", "down", "come", "fetch" but needs a lot of additional work and training. Ray doesn't guard toys or food. I can say that he is a sensitive young adult who responds well to positive reinforcement training, especially when treats are involved. While he may show submissive tendencies, his potential shines with a little guidance and encouragement. It should be patient people, experienced dog owners who has a large breeds in the past. No cats, no children. Experienced dog owners who has a large breeds in the past.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Happy Tripawed Puppy! Coco is an almost 1.5 year-old German Shepherd Dog who weighs approximately 78lbs.  Coco is just a sweet sweet dog. Curious, goofy, loving, and energetic - he loves everyone, and sees the best in them. Coco came to SV Pet Project with a lame right foot and needed multiple surgeries, first to remove a benign tumor, and then a full amputation of the right leg. Coco has adapted quickly to being an amazing tripawed pup.  Throughout Coco's medical treatments, his sweetness, friendliness, and gentle nature have continued to shine! Coco currently lives with two older 4-legged brothers and, while he would love to live with a fur-sibling, he is not part of a bonded pair. As long as he has fur friends to play with, Coco will be a happy boy! When playing with his human pals, in typical puppy fashion Coco can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, but that's easily addressed with a firm voice and a 15 minute walk :-) He's very verbally responsive and wants to please. Sweet Coco has been perfectly house trained since day one, loves car rides, and while he is working on his leash manners, he loves to go for walks and is learning not to pull in excitement when he meets new friends - that is Everyone! Coco knows the benefit of "Sit", "Down" and "Touch" to get his favorite treats, and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. Check out Coco's profile on Rocky Kanaka! https://rockykanaka.com/one-leg-short-but-full-of-heart-a-german-shepherds-inspiring-escape-from-adversity/ Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 10:08 pm

Story
Titus is an affectionate 11 year old vision impaired male who adores people of all ages.  He does well with the teens in the foster home as well as a younger child who visits.  Titus is easy going and relaxed around other dogs, calmly greeting them with a wagging tail and sniffs.  This laid back guy loves to spend his day lounging about and napping on his soft pillow.  Although he has free access to the backyard at his foster home, he looks forward to short morning and evening walks.  He may move slowly, but he is a model citizen on leash.  When he isn't sooozing, Titus enjoys chewing on his toys.  This eager-to-please pup is the perfect choice for a family with a relaxed lifestyle.   ##1235821##

Story
Gizmo is a stunning 10 year old male who enjoys hiking.  We suspect that he may be younger based on how athletic he is.  This curious boy wants to learn about everything his humans do.  He appreciates the opportunity to sniff new things that he doesn’t yet understand.  Gizmo enjoys being with other dogs, and although he can be selective, he politely shares his favorite toys with his furry foster sister.  Above all, Gizmo’s tender heart desires to be close to his leader and to please the ones he loves.  If his human disappears from his eyesight, he quickly jumps up to find them.  Gizmo will make a wonderful companion and adventure buddy for an active adopter with large dog expereince.   Please check out Gizmo's video: https://youtu.be/H2f7X8CTpqw ##1460734##

Story
Lorelie T is a beautifully proportioned, classic looking female "pocket" German Shepherd.  Lorelie is gentle and affectionate, and loves going on walks.  Her mobility is typical for a senior dog, having no problems with short walks and easily navigating 3-4 steps.  Lorelie is good with some dogs, but she can be selective about who she opens up to and plays with.  She would do best as an only dog in a home without young kids. Lorelie T Summary:- Female, 13 yrs old, 53 pounds- Good with adults, older kids, some dogs- TBD - cats What's Next:  Lorelie is ready for adoption!  Thulani does not charge an adoption fee and provides medical coverage for life.  All Thulani dogs go to their forever homes with a supply of food, a cushy bed, and toys if wanted.  All dogs pass a set of evaluation tests before being accepted into TSGSR.  The tests are not intended to assess how smart the dog is but are important for TSGSR to determine if the dog is expected to be safe in a family home.  The tested behaviors check to see if the dog will guard or protect food or toys from people, will tolerate handling all over its body (including ears, nose, lips to check teeth, lifting paws, belly, back, and gently pulling the tail).  This dog remained calm during all of these tests and showed no aggressive tendencies. ##1715732##
