Dog Day Out notes from last week: Today, I was so happy to get out of my kennel! I got to put on a collar and harness, and I got to go in a car!! I love the car! I wanted to help drive, but my new friends said I should eat cookies instead, so I looked out the window. I love going for walks! We walked a long way! I wanted to be in front, but my friends would stop, so I got to give them snuggles when they did that – I like snuggles more than cookies! We saw so many things! People and dogs and lots and lots of bikes! I don't worry about those things though, I have my friends! I almost tried to catch a squirrel, but it got away. That's okay; I gave more snuggles to my friends! Oh! And on the way back, I took a nap – I loved the quiet time. Three Words to Describe Me are affectionate – snuggly - and friendly. Notes from My Walker: Traviesa is such a delight! She pulls on the leash, but it seems like she just never got a chance to learn how to walk on a leash before. She did amazing on the busy trail – we saw bikes, walkers, and dogs, and she was non-reactive to almost everything. The small, barky dog got her attention, but he started talking first, and she displayed interest, with no reactive lunging or barking. She is not a cookie girl, but she LOVES to snuggle. We love it when dogs on the trail check in with their human friends, but Traviesa was at another level; she would stop and lean in for a hug before continuing the walk! She is a sweet, gentle, loving dog who deserves a home that will let her learn and give her the chance to be a fantastic companion dog.

She is very obedient and being around people comfortably. She is good with dogs and behaves very well when meeting other dogs outdoors; Fan would share her toy and food without getting into fight. She is easy-going by nature; friendly with strangers, kids, other dogs, and cats. She is house & crate trained; a good rider in the car; no barking or chewing behaviors. Fan can fit into any type of family quickly; she will make a great companion pet at home; and a good walking or hiking partner! Fan-Fan’s rescue story: Fan and her two siblings were strays found at a bus parking lot since very young age. The parking lot owner said someone abandoned them when they were around 2-m-o. The parking lot owner just provide food to them but has no intention to keep them for his own; so he contacted us to help finding home for them. Fan went through a complete physical, unfortunately was found with heartworm. After months of thorough treatments, she is fully recovered and has received a clean bill of health. This is Rubi. She is a Belgian Malinois that I got from a breeder in Tracy my senior year of high school. She was born October 2019 so she is about 4 1/2 years old. She is a very loyal and sweet dog that loves to play and accompany you on any activity. She is a high prey drive breed so I dont believe she would get along with cats as she is always on the lookout for squirrels and other rodents. She learns very fast if she has something to work for (a treat or a toy). She knows her basic commands and is pretty good on walks. She picks and chooses which dogs she likes so I would always be wary when she meets new friends. She was raised with my sisters Malinois and maltipoo so she knows how to be social. I wish I didnt have to rehome her but due to my living circumstances I am left with no choice. I just want her to go to a good active home where she will be take care of like she deserves. We rescued tiny Diana from a distant shelter on 9/7/24 where she was left at 4 weeks old. Someone found her in the streets and kept her a few days. At the shelter she had upset GI from poor quality food that she ate prior to the shelter. Within the day she was fine with shelter slurry mix. Our volunteer rushed out to transport her. 3 hour round trip. Now she is getting TLC at her hero foster home. We think she is a Belgian Mal from her behavior and activity level now. At her foster home she is eating well and loves her slurry mix. Great appetite and very treat motivated. Diana now has energy and very playful. She has drive and energy to be a potential sport or working dog. Loves playing with tug-o-war/Flirt Pole and uses her mouth. Maligator! At her young age she is impressive and seems athletic. Future Wonder Woman doggie. Confident beautiful active smart and sporty. More info. to come as she grows to see more of her personality and body structure. She is a cutie now as a puppy but plan to train and really exercise her for her adult needs for life. She will not be ready til after 8 weeks old and after her vet care.September 10, 2024, 12:36 am

Coco currently lives with two older 4-legged brothers and, while he would love to live with a fur-sibling, he is not part of a bonded pair. As long as he has fur friends to play with, Coco will be a happy boy! When playing with his human pals, in typical puppy fashion Coco can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, but that's easily addressed with a firm voice and a 15 minute walk :-) He's very verbally responsive and wants to please.
