Story
My husband has had Luna since she was a puppy. She has been a wonderful dog to us. She is obsessed with fetch and her favorite word is “ball”. She loves to curl up on the couch or in bed with us. Unfortunately she has not been too keen on our twins. Since they are toddlers and only getting more handsy and rambunctious, she has gotten more and more anxious around them. She would thrive in a childless home where she is the only pet and can be given the attention she deserves. Her ideal day would involve lots of throwing the ball and/or going on walks ending in snuggling on the couch.

Story
Lilo and Stitch are sweet, playful, 5 month old mixed breed puppies. Their father looked like a border collie/akita mix and their mother was a 35 lb, mixed breed dog. They were surrendered to us as an accidental litter, from Arizona. These guys had a very hard start to life, and have come a very long way during their time in foster. They were very, very shy when we first got them, and had not been socialized. Thanks to our foster team and about 2 months of time, they have now caught up on socialization and now love attention. They are working on potty training, and are quiet in their kennels. Lilo and Stitch will need families willing to introduce them to new things and continue working on socialization, since some things are still new to them. They love other dogs, and are good with cats. They are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Lilo and Stitch will be adopted out separately. Story
Indie loves to snuggle, take long sniffy walks, and play (but is still learning the retrieving part of fetch). She is food motivated, crate trained and eager to please. Indie is 48 lbs of goofy, sweet, friendly, occasionally anxious, and sometimes stubborn fluff who would love to meet you! She would do well in a home without young children as she can be excitable, but could love having another doggie friend in her life. She has been a gift to raise, but I am dealing with chronic health issues that have led me to be unable to provide Indie the consistent care that she deserves.

Story
Meet Poppy, a perfectly fun-sized, silly girl! Poppy was found as a stray in New Mexico and brought in to a local shelter there. She spent 2 months waiting patiently for a home, but none came. We took Poppy days before her time would have been up, and brought her to Colorado for another chance! Poppy does the cutest zoomies around the yard and enjoys toys, snacks, and sticks! She is great on leash and would enjoy a hiking buddy or someone who takes long walks. She really likes playing with boy dogs, and does well with female dogs in a controlled introduction (walking together on leash for example). She's quiet in her kennel, and is potty trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Oscar is an almost 2 year old Border Collie mix. Sadly, Oscar spent the majority of his life in a large shelter. He went in when he was about 10 weeks old and stayed there until he was a year and a half, when we were able to get him out. Since then he's been in a foster home. He was very very nervous when he first came in, and wanted nothing to do with new people. He was very gentle however and would just cower or hide when nervous. Since being in foster, he has come a very long way. He walks very well on leash with his trusted people, and doesn't seem scared of car/traffic noises. He is still very shy of new people, but once warmed up he's very sweet and offers tail wags, and likes to be pet. He is kennel trained and likes to go into his kennel as a safe space, and is very food motivated. He is potty trained and will potty on leash. Oscar will need. very patient and quiet home, with the understanding that he will take time to warm up but then will be a very sweet guy. We also recommend he go to a home with other dogs, since he absolutely loves all other dogs and will need a confident dog to show him that things are ok! Oscar is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Story
We got Pepper from a neighbors friend! She has been with us for about 3 months and is 7 months young. Honestly the only things we are looking for in a new home is someone who has the time to care for her and give her loving home. She is pretty calm for a puppy. She loves to run around and is very smart. She knows sit, lay down and paw so far. She makes weird little moans when she is tired which is adorable. She sleeps in her cage overnight and just needs to be let out after drinking and eating throughout the day. She loves toys and chew toys. We really love Pepper and believe this is the best decision moving forward. We feel she just deserves better. She is a bit shy around other people but opens up once she gets to know someone! I am currently working on her with her leash and harness to get her more comfortable on one.
