Story
If Charlie were a person, he would be described as having good boundaries. Charlie is not fond of new people in his life. He does not want people to just come up to him and try to pet him. And he will make his stance on this known to someone who tries. He truly is a very good dog, he just has strong preferences and a need for his preferences to be respected. He gets along with other dogs, and cats. He is absolutely amazing with my 8 month old. He is very protective of me, and if I had the ability to train his response to strangers, and mostly men, out of him, I would. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to put that kind of time into him, and never will be. Charlie will snap at strangers who try to pet him. He also loves to run, and in the right hands, would likely do extremely well in obstacle courses, he has an amazing jump. He will come to you when he is ready for it, unfortunately there are a lot of kids in my life and they struggle to understand that.

Story
Bear and Skipper need a new home due to my son's traumatic brain injury. He can no longer tolerate the unpredictability of animals. The are both so special and wonderful. It breaks my heart to rehome them, but we must for our son. A ton of information can be found about them here: https://info(xxx) xxx-xxxx .wixsite.com/bear-and-skipper Bear is a pure bred English Golden and Skipper is a border collie mix. Bear is a typical goofy, loving Golden. Skipper is super smart, with some anxiety issues that the foster mom is working on with him. He is fine when in a familiar setting, skeptical of strangers, but quickly warms to them. They are wonderful and sweet dogs and currently being fostered in Ault, CO.

Story
They just don’t get any happier than Maxine! This sweet girl is approx 1 year old and believed to be a border collie/Heeler mix. As you probably guessed, she’s a higher energy gal and enjoys an active lifestyle. Maxine is great with dogs and adores humans! Her genes shine through when she gets excited and playful so small kiddos may not be the best idea as she can nip a bit (playfully, but alas, she’s a herder). Maxine is a professional snuggler and has a very adaptable personality! If you’re looking for a petite, adventure buddy (and you have a fenced in yard) you’d better quickly get your application in! Maxine is a foster in Firestone, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/maxine/. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Junie, Australian Shepherd/Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Junie is a very loving and loyal dog. She is the boss and loves keeping Cooper in line. She likes to go on walks and explore with him. She gets along with other dogs great, but she will growl when she has had her fill. She will not nip or bite. She is a bit more relaxed and laid back than Cooper, but still loves to play around with him. She also is a bit of an attention hog. She will stare through your soul until you acknowledge her. She is very in tune with human emotion and will snuggle with you when you are sad. She’s a very sweet soul. She also may be more human than dog. Cooper, Blue Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Cooper tends to be shy at first but warms up pretty quick. He has a lot of energy and loves playing with Junie going on walks and exploring with her. He LOVES attention. He is a very loving and loyal dog with the silliest personality. I think he may be more human than dog. He gets along with other dogs but does take a minute to acclimate to them. He loves to give kisses (I think he was a lizard in his past life…hahaha). They are a bonded pair. They have grown up together and I would hate to separate them. They are soulmates and I would love for them to stay together. I understand that this is a lot to ask, but they are so worth it! We are having to re-home them due to a move across the country. This means we will be living out of a small camper and traveling all over the southeast. I don’t feel that this is a fair life for my pups to live. They love to run and play and wouldn't get this freedom if they come with us.
