Story
We got Charlie from a rescue weeks before the world shutdown for Covid. Which is part of the issue. He was about 6 months old at the time. About a week or so after having gotten him, he was hiding under a desk, my husband needed him to come out and grabbed him (dumb, I know) to pull him out. He bit my husband, he did break skin. He and my husband have had a very distrustful relationship since that day. My husband has distantly tried to repair it, but we have 4 kids and he does not have the time to do so. Charlie has also drawn a reluctant attitude towards new people (hes fine with people he interacted with for the first six months since we brought him home, even those he doesnt see regularly.) But he is wary of new people and has been known to nip at them (doesnt break skin.) Even with training, he cannot be trusted to be left alone with them. This said I think this is an unfair description, as he is amazing with my baby and I know he is a good dog, he just needs the right home.

Hi, I am Cai. I am a sweet, playful and loving pup looking for a home. I like to play with other dogs, explore and cuddle. I do not like to share my food with other dogs so I will need to be fed separate from any other dogs in the home. I would love to meet you.

Story
Meet Mimzy! She is a sweet medium sized girl that adores other dogs! She even played with a small dog and is such a happy and smiley girl! She was surrendered to our rescue partner because her family were moving and couldn't take her with them. She's great on a leash and is a social butterfly! From her current foster: " Mimzy is a fun, loving & super playful girl! She is very easily self entertained and plays with toys by herself sometimes. She loves to cuddle and will curl up right next to you if you let her. She is a big fan of treats and loves to receive any form of praise. She is not the biggest fan of skateboards & bicycles or other fast moving things (people running by her) but can be calmed down and responds very well to positive reinforcement when these things approach. She loves her crate and will lay in it occasionally just to relax/calm down, she never barks when in the crate and always is excited to see us when we return. She is very social and loves all people so much, she is a little iffy when it comes to other dogs with a big personality but with some time she comes around and plays well. As a whole Mimzy is a sweet pup who just wants someone to play with her and love her! From her previous foster: "Mimzy is a super sweet energetic dog and she wants to be around people all the time! She loves her stuffed toys and can keep herself occupied for quite a while with them. We are working on leash manners and not pulling but she is making good progress and is very treat motivated. She does great in her crate and does not bark while she is in there! She is not a huge fan of bikes and skateboards while she is on walks, but is redirected fairly easily with treats and pets and is working on barking less at passing people." Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
Hi, I'm Arley! I am a very good boy with gentle eyes and a playful demeanor. I am house trained and I've had a crate but I'm so good in the house, I've been trusted to roam around on my own. I have lived with cats before and like them and I should do well with other dogs as well with the right introduction. I can be a little nervous around loud sounds like thunder or fireworks (who wouldn't?!) and little kiddos can scare me so a home with older kids or no kids would make me most comfortable. I love to go on walks and play fetch together! I would love to meet you today!

You don't have to worry about paranormal visits when I'm by your side. Don't let them ghosts spook ya and come meet me today!

Story
Junie, Australian Shepherd/Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Junie is a very loving and loyal dog. She is the boss and loves keeping Cooper in line. She likes to go on walks and explore with him. She gets along with other dogs great, but she will growl when she has had her fill. She will not nip or bite. She is a bit more relaxed and laid back than Cooper, but still loves to play around with him. She also is a bit of an attention hog. She will stare through your soul until you acknowledge her. She is very in tune with human emotion and will snuggle with you when you are sad. She’s a very sweet soul. She also may be more human than dog. Cooper, Blue Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Cooper tends to be shy at first but warms up pretty quick. He has a lot of energy and loves playing with Junie going on walks and exploring with her. He LOVES attention. He is a very loving and loyal dog with the silliest personality. I think he may be more human than dog. He gets along with other dogs but does take a minute to acclimate to them. He loves to give kisses (I think he was a lizard in his past life…hahaha). They are a bonded pair. They have grown up together and I would hate to separate them. They are soulmates and I would love for them to stay together. I understand that this is a lot to ask, but they are so worth it! We are having to re-home them due to a move across the country. This means we will be living out of a small camper and traveling all over the southeast. I don’t feel that this is a fair life for my pups to live. They love to run and play and wouldn't get this freedom if they come with us.
