Story
Meet “Nella” - a brand new member of the RMG family. “Nella” is an Italian name meaning highly praiseworthy, luminous, radiant and TRULY this describes her perfectly. She was found tied to a dumpster behind a restaurant outside a few hours outside of Atlanta - there was even some talk around of her brother possibly having been shot - so people must have known more about her after animal control picked her up.   Lena or LenaBean as her foster parents fondly call her, is truly the most tender hearted, affectionate, sweet natured energizer bunny ever! In the house Lena is a couch potato and LOVES to be with her human and dog family. Outside, Lena turns into a lightening speed, chipmunk hunter and cross country triathlete. She runs top speed through the fenced in yard with her foster brother chasing squirrels and chipmunks and just showing off her general love for life. Lena is definitely a high energy dog that would need a family that has a completely fenced in yard and experience with breeds that are very intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Lena absolutely has an off switch, which is great, and she also has the eager to please nature so common with Border Collies. Her previous life before coming into RMG’s family has left her with some quirks which her new family should be aware of. She has a tremendous fear of loud noises and definitely needs some human support and comfort when lawn mowers, weed wackers and such are going. All in all, she is a very special girl that has the sweetest heart and deserves a family that will play with, love and protect her. Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand ownership experience with either purebred border collies or Australian Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Lena ##2046459##

Story
Morgan is a 1 year old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs, small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. Due to Morgan's past, the trainer we worked with believes she would do best in a quiet home with a few other dogs and no children. She does best in a structured environment because it makes her feel most secure. To adopt this sweet girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $150, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.

Story
I found Fido tied up and abandoned at a park near my home in Atlanta. Because I have small children, a small house and an older dog already, it does not make sense for me to adopt him long-term. However, I am holding onto him in lieu of surrendering him to the country shelter, as these facilities are very overcrowded. I am working to get him housebroken, and he has now shown any aggression toward me, my children or my other dog. He is very sweet and energetic and playful, as you might expect from a puppy.

Story
Link was adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society 7 years ago when he was just 3 months old. He has received extensive leash training and knows all of his commands. He is a good boy, but he has some issues with anxiety, especially around quickly moving things like bicycles or children. When he's feeling anxious or glum, he likes to collect and guard socks. He will occasionally nip to protect his treasure trove of stolen items or if a bicycle comes whizzing by. His guarding habit is easily broken with a treat and some dog tricks. He is a great companion to relax with or play in the backyard. He enjoys walks and runs, but will bark on occasion. He takes a while to warm up to other dogs but genuinely enjoys hanging out with his brother, Barney (grandma's dog). Link was rather upset when a baby, now a toddler, joined the family. He is constantly struggling with his behavior and anxiety. He'd be so much happier in a house where he could be the center of attention. His breed is a total guess.

Story
Hey there, my name is Lanier, I am a 6 month old border collie puppy from far far away. I was brought here from a shelter way away in Lanier county. I am not sure what all happened, but a loud and scary storm came through and now I am here. I will most likely be considered a medium sized doggie when I grow up completely. My ideal home is one where I can test my smarty pants brain as well as one that will be as active as I like to be. I am a little shy since so much has happened in the last few weeks but cannot wait for us to blossom and grow together. Come by and meet me today. I'll see you soon!Weight: 26 lbs Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 26 Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks
