Baxter is a fun-loving, social and energetic young pup with eyes that give adoring gazes and a tail that wags endlessly. Baxter has quickly adjusted to his new environment and routine. As a puppy, everything is new, which means everything is something to explore! Baxter loves to go on long sniff walks where he can take in his new environment.
Baxter is working on house and crate training and is making progress on both. He absolutely loves playing with the resident dog in his foster home. His whole body lights up when he gets to meet new friends, human or dog alike!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
