Story

Who doesn’t love a good snack? Count Snackula loves juicy little morsels! This charming fellow, a 2024 Amish edition Border Collie x Australian Shepherd, would happily join you on a trip to McDonald’s for some tasty chicken nuggets. Story

Percy is starting over. In a matter of minutes, Percy’s entire life was turned upside down. A kind-hearted human became concerned about Percy and his 2-year-old human brother and called for a wellness check. What authorities discovered was far worse than anyone imagined. The parents who were supposed to be caring for them had been neglecting, assaulting, and abusing them. At first, they tried to deny what was happening, but text messages and videos told the truth. Percy has a long road ahead, but thankfully, his story is taking a much happier turn. He is safe, loved, happy, and thriving in his foster home. Now he just needs the right family to help him continue healing and show him what a safe, loving life is supposed to look like. Percy would do best as the only dog in his home , but he absolutely enjoys his feline friends. He can still have nervous accidents in the house, but he's improving as he learns that his people are there to protect him and that he's finally safe. And this boy has so much joy to give! He LOVES squeaky tennis balls. He loves going for walks. Fetch is one of his favorite games. A fenced-in yard would probably be his ultimate dream. He does wonderfully on walks and even does great on a tie-out. He's been trained and listens better than many of our resident dogs! Percy doesn't need perfection. He needs patience, consistency, love, and a family willing to let him heal at his own pace. After everything he's been through, Percy deserves a chance to finally know what it feels like to be safe, cherished, and home. Could you be the missing puzzle piece in Percy's new beginning? Please share Percy so we can help his forever family find him! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $375.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 14, 2026, 4:10 pm

🐾 Meet Poncho! 🐾. Poncho is being fostered in Mississippi, but included in your adoption fee is transport to you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport which is the most animal friendly transport on the road! This sweet pup came to our rescue as a stray, and we believe he may be a Border Collie/Lab mix. He’s approximately 6 months old and is one fun, energetic boy! He is up to date on his vaccines and will be neutered soon. He has a medium to high energy level and absolutely LOVES his ball! 🎾 He would make a wonderful companion for an active person or family who enjoys playing, walking, and keeping a young dog busy. He loves taking walks and does very well on a leash. Because he is still very much a puppy, his new family will need to be patient and consistent with him as he continues learning the basics. He’ll need someone willing to work with him on housetraining and Training 101—basic commands, manners, leash skills, and learning what is expected of him. He’s smart, young, and ready to learn! If you're looking for a fun-loving puppy who will keep you entertained and give you plenty of love in return, this boy might be your perfect match! ❤️🐾. Story

Hi there, I'm Marshall! I'm a sweet little puppy with a chill personality and a whole lot of love to give. I'm a pretty quiet guy for a puppy, and I enjoy taking it easy most of the time. Of course, I still have my moments when I need to get my zoomies out! I'm a friendly little guy who loves meeting everyone, and I'm good with older kids, cats, and other dogs. One of my special ways of saying hello is by giving your ankles a little lick. It's my own personal way of greeting you, and I think it's pretty great! Now, since I'm still just a puppy, I have lots to learn before I become the best grown-up dog I can be. I'll need a patient family who understands that learning takes time and is ready to help me with potty training, basic obedience, good manners, walking on a leash, and crate training. I'll also need proper socialization to help me grow into a confident, well-rounded companion. I'm looking for a family who will celebrate my little victories, be patient with my puppy mistakes, and give me the guidance and love I need to succeed. In return, I'll bring you plenty of sweetness, companionship, and those adorable puppy moments that make it all worthwhile. And if you're wondering about my favorite time of day, it's easy: FOOD TIME! I'm always happy when it's time to eat. Could I be the little guy who steals your heart and licks your ankles forever? --- Marshall is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 10/24/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30 - 11:30am. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
