Story
Roscoe is a senior sweetheart with the softest spirit and the happiest smile. He loves being around his people and the resident dog, and he’ll quietly follow you from room to room just to be part of the moment. Snuggles are his love language, and he’ll melt right into you for as long as you’ll let him. He enjoys short walks, a little playtime outside, and absolutely lives for car rides — especially when they end with a Caribou pup cup. He smiles the whole way home like he knows he just had the best treat in the world. At home, Roscoe sleeps peacefully on a dog bed in his foster mom’s room. He rarely barks (only if the resident dog starts the conversation), but he loves to “talk” to you when you come home — a happy, wiggly welcome committee who’s been watching out the window waiting for you. He’s easygoing, gentle, and wonderful with people of all ages. He doesn’t mind cats, loves other dogs, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him feel like an old friend from the moment you meet him. Roscoe’s back legs are a bit weaker these days, so he sometimes needs help with stairs and getting into or out of the car. He takes it all in stride with that same sweet, grateful energy he brings to everything. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to love you, watch over you, and enjoy life’s simple joys by your side, Roscoe is your guy. He’s a happy, gentle soul ready to spend his golden years with someone who sees how special he is. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. Story
Meet Bella, a 2025 limited edition of a Border Collie x Australian Shepherd. This stunningly gorgeous gal was surrendered to NWMNAR due to recognizing they were not able to give Bella the attention she needed while they were on the road travelling. Rest assured, Bella is a sweetheart when it comes to her nature and she loves to be around people and has shown nothing but good manners. However, Bella like many people does not enjoy being a storm chaser and will show some separation anxiety and will need some reassurances from her people while they hide out in the bathtub with her while it is storming. (Because that's what we all do, right?) If you would like to give this gal a try, don't hesitate to reach out!! Bella has recently been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm and tick-borne disease negative, and positively looking for her new furever home. Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax. Free adoption applications can be found on our website at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NMA/Dog. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN weekday and weekends, or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, MN on weekends only. Once we receive your submission, our application review team will be in touch with you. Please have patience while they look over your application.

Story
Flynn is the kind of dog who makes it easy to fall in love. This handsome 2-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix has settled safely into foster care and is already showing what a wonderful companion he is. Friendly with adults, older children, other dogs, and even cats, Flynn fits comfortably into just about any family. He has a calm, affectionate personality and loves being near his people, happily keeping you company without demanding to be the center of attention. As a young adult, Flynn has that perfect mix of playful energy and growing maturity. He enjoys learning, responds well to gentle guidance, and thrives with a consistent routine. Like any dog settling into a new home, he'll continue to blossom with patience, structure, and encouragement. Most of all, Flynn is simply a sweet, steady soul who is ready to leave the uncertainty of his past behind. Now he's looking for a forever family where he can finally put down roots, share his big heart, and enjoy the happy life he's been waiting for.

Snapshot of Marvey: Size? Large Activity Level? Very active with periods of rest and naps Noise Level? Barks when feeling playful -and he's big so they are loud:) Good with Dogs? Yes I love playing! Good with Cats? Not sure but probably ok with a dog savvy cat Good with Kids? We recommend older kids only. Very friendly with respectful kids but can accidentally knock the small ones over Good with Strangers? Good with strangers but working on jumping up Potty Trained? Yes Crate Trained? Marvey has trouble being confined in a crate, so no crates please! Shedding? Seasonally About Marvey: Hi I'm Marvey! I'm an young adult male Collie/Pyrenees/German Shepherd?? mix. I love being active and enjoy learning new tricks and going on walks and runs. I get along great with other dogs and I love asking other dogs to play with me. I don't have any cats in my life, and I'm friendly with kids but I tend to knock them over because I'm excited to get to know them. I'm very friendly and love greeting my humans when they get home and love meeting new people. My sworn enemy is hardwood floors because I'm afraid I'll slip on them. I love learning and will work hard on getting a treat as long as the treat is something I'm into, because I reserve the right to be picky. I'm very well potty trained and I will ask to be let out if I need to go. I need lots of activity. If I don't get enough during the day, I'll ask you to play with me. I know sit, lay down, and shake, but I'm still working on getting these every time I'm prompted. I prefer to not be in a crate because it makes me nervous. I am able to free roam at night and when my humans are away without issues. The best kind of home for me is a home that can give me the active days I need, either through lots of outside time or through lots of challenging learning. I love being with other dogs and meeting new people and a home that can give me both would be ideal. Marvey is fixed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations appropriate for his age. Marvey was treated for Heartworm before coming into rescue and will need to be retested at 6 months and 1 year from treatment to make sure the treatment was effective. He will need year-round heart-worm preventatives for his lifetime. Adoption Fee: $550 + applicable tax Training Requirement: Obedience Level 1/Basic Manners Recommended MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking “adopt me!”. Story
Size? Medium-Large (48 lbs) Activity Level? Medium-high Noise Level? Low Good with Dogs? Yes Good with Cats? Yes Good with Kids? Yes Good with Strangers? Yes Potty Trained? Yes Crate Trained? Yes Shedding? Medium About Gordy: Hi, my name is Gordy! I also respond to Gordo, Gordito, Sir Gordon, and Cheesy Gordita Crunch. I am an adorable border collie/lab mix who wants nothing more than a home to call my own--and, preferably, a ball to call my own as well. I LOVE to chase balls, and if no balls are around, I'll make do with chasing anything you throw for me--stuffies, sticks, ropes... the options are endless. I also love going on car rides, sit politely in the back seat, and walk well on a leash. My foster mom says that I'm amazingly well adjusted given my rough history. I was 1 of 16 (!!) dogs rescued from a local home, and I haven't had the best care before now. For example, you might notice that I have a bit of a limp due to a wonky front foot. The vet says that this is likely caused by a ruptured tendon that didn't heal right. Fortunately, it doesn't slow me down at all! I also recently had 8 front teeth removed. Still, nothing can bring down my happy-go-lucky personality (except, of course, when my foster mom puts away my ball for the night). Here's a bit more from my foster mom: An ideal home for Gordy would be one that can give him lots of mental and physical stimulation. He really enjoys chewing on bones and bully sticks, playing tug with toys, and playing fetch. He's also a smart boy and has picked up on sit, lay down, and crate up very quickly. We're working on some new commands for him to show off! I think he'd do great with someone who enjoys having a dog that can be a companion to them on a variety of adventures! Gordy is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Adoption Fee: $500 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "adopt me! Story
Jinx is a 10 year old border collie looking for a home where he can stay busy and challanged. He is smart, intense and has a high drive He needs a home with experience and interest in training. He is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle as much as play! He is very loyal and wants to please his people. He is housebroken and crate trained. This boy loves to play fetch and can spend hours pushing balls around the yard! Jinx has lived with many dogs and has done well with most, but can be selective. He may do best as an only dog. He is not good with cats. Jinx is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. Jinx is not an easy dog, but he will be an amazing friend to the right family! Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. She simply needs time and patience to build trust. Once she does, she bonds deeply. ‍ Bonds quickly with women ‍ Slower to trust men Would do best in a home with older kids (she’s a little jumpy and sensitive about her tail) No cats due to prey drive (not officially tested) Best as the only dog—she’s shown nervous behavior around others Her Ideal Home: Sneakers needs a calm, structured home with patient humans who’ll give her space and support as she decompresses. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest soul. She loves: Tummy rubs Hand-holding (yes, really!) Walks in the park Sunbathing Taking treats ever so gently She’s a total mama’s girl, and I know she’ll thrive in the right adoptive home—one that sees the loving, loyal dog she already is.
