Story
Nelson is an adorable16 week old Border Collie puppy looking for a home. Those ears though!!❤️ He is very social with people and other dogs, and is so very smart, a true characteristic of his breed. He learns quickly and is fun to train. He is crate trained, doing fantastic on housebreaking, and walks nicely on a leash. He entertains himself by throwing his treats and toys in the air and trying to catch them, he’s so cute! Nelson is vaccinated, has been treated for internal and external parasites, and the Rescue will pay for his neuter and microchip when he comes of age. Nelson is being fostered in Waukesha County, and an Adoption fee applies. If interested in little Nelson and his ears, fill out an application for him at Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue out of Union Grove, Wi. Story
Meet Gorilla Gorilla and his siblings have had quite a journey already, and now they are ready for their next big adventure: finding loving foster homes and forever families. Their Story Their mama belonged to a homeless woman in Kentucky who loved her very much. When mama unexpectedly got pregnant, her owner knew she could not give the babies the medical attention and resources they needed to thrive. Out of pure love and a desire to give them their absolute best chance at a happy, healthy life, she reached out to a local rescue for help. That rescue connected with us, and we jumped at the chance to welcome these tiny travelers into our care. The Details Expected Size: Medium to large. Mom is around 45 lbs, and while dad we suspect was border collie, we expect these pups to grow into similar medium-to-large companions.Personality: Classic puppy energyequal parts playfulness, curiosity, and sweet snuggle sessions. Adoption Details An adoption fee of $550fully covers his essential medical start, including current vaccines, with future boosters provided by one of our rescue volunteers, as well as future alteration surgery and rabies vaccination at one of our partner veterinary clinics. Alternatively, we offer a $100 reimbursement if you prefer to use your own primary veterinarian for alteration surgery. Story
Meet Lady: A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Second Chance Ladys world came crashing down when her owner unexpectedly passed away, and she was nearly lost to a tragic fate. After five years of being a loyal, loving companion, she found herself suddenly uprooted. When she arrived in our care, her routine exam revealed another hurdle: Lady tested positive for heartworm. Heartworm is not contagious, and it is not a death sentencethough it is life-threatening if left untreated. The great news is that Lady is already starting her treatment, and 100% of her medical care (including her heartworm treatment and her future spay) is fully covered by The Charlie Project. Now, Lady just needs the most important part of her recovery: a safe, quiet home. About Lady Breed & Temperament: Unlike a typical high-energy Border Collie, Lady is extremely gentle, sweet, and laid-back. She loves affection and constantly seeks approval. Sensitivities: Lady is sensitive to loud, sudden noisesshe will cower at the sound of a fly swatterso a peaceful environment is essential. Home Life: She is fully housebroken, very submissive, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She has not been cat-tested yet, but her gentle nature suggests she would do fine. What She Needs Right Now Lady is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home to give her a calm space to rest while she recovers from treatment, which can be stressful and physical for a dog. Location Requirement: Her heartworm injections are taking place in Lake Geneva, WI. Fosters/adopters must be able to drive her to her follow-up appointments over the next month. Fostering: Free of cost! We provide all supplies, medical care, and foodyou just provide the love and a quiet home. Adoption Fee: $500 (covers complete vetting, heartworm treatment, and future spay). Lady has been through so much and deserves a quiet, loving chapter where she can finally feel secure. Are you the human shes been waiting for?
