Story
Laika is 36 lbs and 3-4 years old. This sweet girl loves chasing and often retrieving balls in the house and outdoors. She loves to sniff around off-leash in a fenced back yard. Turn on your garden sprinkler and she will be entertained and exercised. Laika initiates belly runs and gives kisses to her foster mom as a thank you. Laika is more dominant than Layla and has a strong herding drive, so we recommend a home with no children, cats or small critters. She's a little nervous meeting new people and dogs, which we are working on. Laika is spayed and fully vaccinated. She will need a fenced yard and an experienced handler with a strong understanding of the breed and a willingness to provide lots of exercise and tennis balls. Story
About Me: Name: Lane, Latrell Breed (or best guess): Border Collie/Farm Dog mix Approximate Age: 9-12 weeks estimated on 6/24/25 Gender: M Approximate Weight: around 10 lb on 6/24/25 Adoption Fee: $600 each Requirements: Loving Family Why In Rescue: Owner Surrender from farm Profile:   Lane, Latrell, and Lars (adopted) are part of a litter of Farm Dog Mixes - possibly Border Collie mixed with another farm dog.  They are approximately 9 weeks old but could be slightly older.  They have lived outside until now, so will have to learn all about home life.  They will need help with housetraining.  They are super adorable, playful and getting more outgoing every day!  Apply for them now so you can get your new pup home as soon as possible! If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS July 11, 2025, 1:57 pm

Story
About Me: Name:  Halston, Halyn, Hazen, Hammy Breed (or best guess):  Cattle Dog/Terrier mix is best guess Approximate Age: 6 months Gender: Male/Female Approximate Weight: 16-24 lb on 5/3/25 Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving Family Why In Rescue: Texas transfer Profile:   This adorable 4 pack came from our Texas Rescue Partner who rescues dogs from animal control facilities in rural Texas where a dog's only chance at a family is to find a rescue to take them in.  Halston (solid black male), Halyn (black/white female), Hazen (Brown/Black male), Hammy (black/white male) are all littermates even if they look like they came from different litters.  They are happy, playful pups who love attention.  They are being treated for tick disease with Doxycycline, and if not finished with the treatment, will go home with their remaining medication.  We don't know what their breed is, and it is possible they had different fathers, so your guess is as good as ours as to the breed.  Be prepared for an active puppy if you adopt one of these great pups. If interested in one of the pups, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at  http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog   If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit  http://www.bichonrescues.com .  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. Story
📣 Hey Mikey! I like it! What do I like? 🤔 TOYS!!! 🧸 🦴 🎾I like the chewy ones and the squeaky ones and the stuffy ones… I love all of them! When I lived in Texas I only had dirt and my sisters to play with. So I love playing with other dogs, 🐕 but toys are great too! We didn’t have soft dog beds, cushy couches 🛋️ or rugs to lay on so I think they’re just the greatest! Sometimes (when I do something naughty) my foster mom yells “Michael!” 🗯️ Which isn’t very often ‘cause she calls me “good boy” WAY more! 💙 Because I was raised outside, I know that’s where my potty 🚽 belongs. I’m nice and quiet in my kennel all night 😴 long. I’ve had some practice on a leash as well. It’s just that sometimes I get scared of new things… like stairs. Those were scary 🫣 at first, but I have conquered small sets of stairs now! I’ve met some pretty cool new friends since coming to Wisconsin! I have some other doggie 🐶 room mates along with a few cats. 🐈‍⬛ I’ve even met some chickens! 🐓 But my favorite tends to be the kids in the house! 🏡 (Besides the toys, those are my favorite too!) I am almost 7 months old so I’m already neutered ✂️ …whatever that means. I have had all my vaccinations 💉 and have a microchip too! Humans think that I’m a Border Collie and Aussie mix. I weigh around 30 pounds, so I am the perfect medium-sized boy! Mikey’s adoption fee is $500 and he is being fostered in central 📍 Wisconsin. Story
First there was Sky ⛅️ then there was Mikey (who’s still available for adoption 😉 btw) and now we present to you…. Lia! 🎀 She’s the last of her litter to get here 🚐 from Texas. And boy did we save the best for last with this girl! Lia is just the sweetest girl! 🥰 Although she can be pretty shy to start, her tail will be wagging in no time at all! She’s easily won over with pets and lots of loving. 💕 Lia has become friends with everyone she’s met… all people (big and small), other dogs, cats, and even chickens! 🐓 She might seem scared at first, but once she warms up she loves everyone. ❤️Lia might be an average name for an average girl but this Lia is above average 🏅 in most areas. She’s fully housebroken, kennel trained, and is eager to please! She does need a little more practice on a leash though if walking 🚶‍♂️ is your thing. We believe that Lia is a Border Collie mix due to her size and pattern. 🖤🤍 She’s the perfect medium size, around 36 pounds, and is 7 months old 🗓️ so she probably won’t get much bigger. Lia is already spayed ✂️ and she’s had all her vaccines. 💉 She is being fostered in central 📍 Wisconsin and her adoption fee is $500. You can apply to adopt her at: https://www.biggiepawsrescue.org DATCP #494550DATCP # 494550
