I adopted Nico from a local shelter, he’s considered a Boxer Pit Mix. While my life circumstances have changed, I would rather he go to a home and not back. He loves attention, will follow you anywhere and is very treat motivated. He doesn’t like his paws being touched but is willing to give his paw upon command. He likes to look outside and smell any and everything. He loves hugs and to dance. Although he doesn’t like toys, he loves a good bone and a stuffy. He will fetch as well but not for long before your attention is what he would rather have.

Chloe is a loving 7 year old boxer/lab mix looking for an adult only home. She is house and leash trained and healthy. While she enjoys running outside, she is low energy inside the house. She is friendly towards adults and comfortable with get togethers, but takes sometime to warm up to dogs. Once she is familiar with a dog they will be best friends. We are looking to rehome due to our new baby boy. While we dreamed of Chloe growing up with him, we realized we can’t give Chloe the attention she deserves. The lack of a backyard coupled with minimum time to take her on walks is unfair to her. We hope we can find her a loving home with someone that can dedicate more time to her.

Taters is a lovable 4-year-old mix who is looking for his forever home. He loves people, walks calmly on a leash, is crate trained, and has never had an accident in the house. He enjoys fetch in the yard but is equally happy cuddling on the couch. He is adaptable — yard or apartment, active or quiet home, he just wants to be with his people. At 114 lbs, he is a big healthy boy, fully vaccinated, on heartworm and flea prevention, and comes with two months of Simparica Trio. He learns quickly and knows sit, lay down, give paw, "leave it," and "go to your house." He takes treats gently and waits to eat until given permission, and rides happily in the car. He is being rehomed because his family is relocating overseas - this was not an easy decision, as he is deeply loved and is a great dog. He can be shy with new dogs but plays well at boarding. He ignored cats in a past foster home. History with children is unknown. He comes with a crate, beds, bowls, a waterproof coat, and his toys.

He needs a little work on basic commands and recall so should not be allowed off-leash. He is very friendly with other dogs but should not be around cats as he hyper-focuses on them and gives chase if they run. Have not assessed with children yet, but has a very gentle, submissive temperament and has shown no signs of resource guarding or reactivity so we believe he would do fine with kids of any age. Picked up as a stray and brought to Gwinnett County AC, but was never reclaimed. Has been in the shelter at least 4 months before we took him home to foster. Shelter staff and volunteers describe him as sweet, playful, and affectionate, but a bit a simpleton :). He's cute! Kirby is an 8-year-old, neutered Pit Bull mix who has been waiting far too long for someone to choose him. He has had little to no adoption interest. We don’t understand why, because Kirby is truly one of the smartest, most steady dogs in our rescue. Kirby is the kind of dog who already understands the rhythm of home life. He knows his daily routine, waits patiently in his spot for meals and treats, and has a calm, thoughtful way about him. He isn’t a wild, chaotic dog looking to turn your life upside down — he’s a loyal companion who wants a soft place to land and a person to call his own. Kirby is house-trained, crate-trained, and does well when left home alone. He’s also good with visitors and gentle around kids and adults. He has lived with cats and has even enjoyed snuggling on a dog bed with them. He’s a great car rider, too — he’ll sit in the passenger seat like a person, ready to be your co-pilot. Kirby still has his fun side. He loves going on hikes, exploring outdoors, and playing in streams. But at this stage in his life, what he really deserves is a home where he can relax, settle in, and be loved. Kirby is getting older, and our biggest wish is for him to retire in a home of his own, surrounded by comfort, routine, and people who see what a special dog he is. Kirby has been adopted twice before and returned. One return happened after a conflict with another dog over tennis balls, so he will do best with thoughtful management around high-value toys.
