Story
Meet Little CHICHI - A Super Sweet little grateful dog abandoned and Rescued! Cute little Boxer/Hound mix needs a home ASAP! Boxer and hounds are the best dogs.  CHICHI had a rough life before he was rescued from the streets in North Georgia.  A nice lady who runs a dog boarding facility happened to see him darting from parked car to the next in a parking lot of a large commercial facility.  Poor guy was terrified.  She could see that he was so skinny, emaciated. She worked at coaxing him for a couple of hours and the he just gave up and came to her wagging his tail.   He inhaled his food and he was full of worms. He is fully vetted now, weighs 52 pounds, no MORE worms, all shots, and neutered. He is also negative for heartworms.  He is a bit timid at first, and will never be a bold outgoing dog, but that is ok!  He is sweet, loving, and he loves other dogs and his people.  It just take a bit of time and he is your friend for LIFE!  Everyone who meets him loves him. He listens well! Perfect sized dog. He is NOT food aggressive despite being starved.  He LOVEs other dogs and would love to have a companion.  He is VERY playful and so sweet. PLEASE give CHICHI a chance in your life. To meet him e-mail AWHAR09@gmail.com or text 404-520-1060 cell www.awhar.org is our organization; always a trial basis!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2024, 10:38 am

Story
Meet Bandit, my 7-year-old purebred boxer. I have been with him since his birth, and he is the son of his late father who I also owned. Bandit has always had a companion, be it a fellow dog or a human at home. He is a lovable, laid-back dog that adores children and is extremely well-mannered. Bandit walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is crate-trained. He loves having company, but things have been tough since I moved to an apartment, and he's been experiencing separation anxiety. Unfortunately, he's been howling, whining, and barking, causing my neighbors to complain. Bandit is truly a great dog who craves attention and companionship.

Story
Meet Sadie, a 1 one year old best boxer mix beauty. Sadie was rescued by a good Samaritan who is now her foster. Sadie now spends every waking moment giving kisses, wagging her tail and wiggling her butt. Beautiful Sadie is about 2 years old and a 50lb sweetheart. She has become part of the family in just a short time. With daily socialization she has blossomed and is learning to play and trust. She gets a long great with new people and loves the foster’s teenage son. Sadie would love to spend time with you on your sofa or staying somewhere near you while you work. She also likes to be on the move so getting out and being active or going somewhere in the car is exciting for her. She will be a great side-kick, travel companion and best friend. Sadie has the most sincere and engaging eyes, you will feel her love every time she looks at you. You will be her world. Sadie will be happy as only dog, but a calm and similar size pup might be good for her too. Cats are not a good match for Sadie. Sadie is crate trained, house trained, spayed and vaccinated. She knows her basic commands and is a real pleaser. She is so easy to have in your home! Sadie loves daily walks and is good on a leash. She has a lot of energy but also loves being a couch potato. To meet special Miss Sadie, please email Jillian at trainingtotherescue@gmail.com. Sadie can’t wait to meet you and complete your amazing and adventuresome family! .

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Hi, I'm Milton and I'm being fostered by a dog trainer who's getting me ship-shape for the lucky people who adopt me. I love to play with toys or just hang out in the backyard with you. My foster mom says I look like a gremlin when I run around the yard, probably because of a big scar across my back. I don't talk about that -- it's in the past and I'm looking forward to a bright future with you! I do like the security of having my own private den (aka crate), especially when you must be away from home or if I eat in the company of other dogs. I may bark a little when you leave, so apartments, townhomes, or condos probably won't work because not all neighbors are understanding. The best part of me is that my foster mom will provide two FREE training sessions to make sure I settle in just perfectly to my new pad. Free training and a laid-back dude like me as your BFF -- that's a deal, right? Age: 2-3 years Weight: 65 lbs Temperament: Prefers calm, routine home and female dogs of the same size. Requires calm/older kids and sturdy adult handlers. Training: House trained, crate trained, knows commands, good off-leash Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Questions: Schelby.Stuckey@gmail.com Adoption Fee: Waived; vet reference, background, and home check required. To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application ( www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption ) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $250; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.April 19, 2024, 12:31 pm

Story
Meri desperately needs a foster or forever home! Meri is a sweet, affectionate goober of a Boxer mix that was saved from being euthanized at Dekalb Animal Control. She has been in a temp foster home and we're trying to keep her from going back to the pound.   She is 2 years old, and she loves to play. She also loves people and wants to please. Meri’s happy to follow you around and hang out wherever you are. She’s been through a lot, and we've been working with her to build her confidence and reassurance after being abandoned. She's thriving in her foster home and gaining more and more confidence.   She loves dogs and she loves cars. You don't have to ask her twice to take a car ride. She plays hard and respects when another dog tells her to back off but sometimes, she'll come back again in case they changed their mind and want to play. If she lives with another dog, it would be best if that dog is playful like her.   She is shy and timid with new people, and she will bark at them initially. If you ignore her, she stops barking pretty quickly and then she wants to be your best friend. She would benefit from a compassionate foster or adopter that would help her know she is safe. She makes friends for life, so once she meets you, you’re in. She thrives in a home with a routine. She would make a great running, walking, hiking partner and has no problem keeping up.   She is so sweet. She is housetrained and crate trained and goes in her crate easily. She likes to have some toys in her crate when she has to be in there. She has no food or toy guarding issues and she is non-destructive. She is very affectionate and eager to please and she loves snuggles. She is very treat/food motivated and takes food gently from your hand. She is very easy to train. Please consider giving this sweet girl a chance. Thank you!   Age: 2 years   Weight: 48 lbs Temperament: Gets along with all adults and older respectful kids, dogs around her size.  Training: House trained and Crate-trained. Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention.   For questions about Maizie, please email,   aimiablepetcare@aol.com.  &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Great family dog and dog companionKobe's love for other dogs and humans is boundless. He loved running with his foster sibling in the foster home, often following her around and letting her show him the ropes. He also loves blankets, cuddles, and naps with his humans. Kobe's is also learning to appreciate his alone time. With the help of short practice sessions and chew toys, he's mastering the art of self-entertainment. His ability to seamlessly switch between playtime and naptime, makes him a great companion for work-at-home folks. Kobe's intelligence is a standout feature. He's a smart and food-motivated boy who already grasps commands like "sit" and "down", especially when hand signals are paired with verbal commands. He'd be great at agility training and dock jumping or an excellent running/walking partner. Mostly Kobe just loves having dogs and humans around to pal around with. Who doesn't need a happy-go-lucy buddy like the Kobester? Age:  2 years Weight:  40 lbs    Vetting:  neutered, scheduled to update vaccines and heartworm negative   Temperament: Loves people and dogs and bigger, sturdy kids.  Training: House trained, crate trained (though not a huge fan)  For questions please email: sheltersxshelvesrescue@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
