He was left with family but they are allergic to him so we just need to find a home where he can get the affection he craves and maybe a fenced yard that he can run zoomies in - or someone who will give him plenty of walks. He appears to be a boxer mix. He certainly has the warm and gentle disposition of one. He loves attention. And though he needs some leash training, he would make an excellent walking or hiking partner. He's been around other dogs and seems to be fine with them. He would probably be best with bigger, sturdy kids as he loves to play and could knock down toddlers. I'm a friendly and social guy and really enjoy going for walks and playing. I'm very good on the leash and don't pull at all. I'd love to have a fenced backyard of my own to run around in and wouldn't mind going with you in the car to run some errands. That sounds like a lot of fun. I might be a little slow to warm up to new people, but I love people! I don't mind getting toenail trims and am a very good boy when the doctor takes care of me. My skin is a little itchy but I got a shot for that which really helped. I may be deaf but that doesn't slow me down in the least. I love eating my wet food, but don't love kibble too much ~~ unless you can find a really yummy food that I will like, of course! I am just looking for a really good home and some people to love, a couple of comfy beds and cool toys. I'd even like another friendly dog to play and hang out with. I don't know what cats are yet because I haven't been around them. MEDICAL: Chance is healthy, current on vaccines/vet services and bloodwork, has a negative fecal test and heartworm test. His adoption fee is $145 and includes a month of Simparica Trio (for heartworms, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites) to go home with him. Peanut is a sweet, affectionate dog just under a year old, according to his veterinarian. He is fully up to date on all vaccinations and has completed a two-week board-and-train program, where he learned several commands. Based on the vets assessment, he mostly likely was tied up somewhere and left for a long period and was most likely abused. Even with that background, nothing can get him down! He is a very happy dog. He is incredibly loving and energetic, and does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, children, and the whole family. Because of his energy level, Peanut would thrive in a home with a yard or with someone who can provide at least a couple of walks each day. When he isnot playing, Peanut is very snuggly and loves to be close to his people. He is crate trained, though he does have some sensitivities to wire crates. Peanut will come with all of his belongings, including his leash, collar, e-collar, bowls, bed, and more.
