Beauregard (a.k.a Beau Boy) ma be a senior at nine years old, but he still has so much love and energy to give. He has been with us his entire life. His origins are unknown (most likely an unregistered breeder) but we are 99% sure that he is purebred boxer. He is on the smaller size at 55lbs, and he is intact. He has had a low grade mast cell tumor for 3 years, just one on his trunk. Beau is very cuddly and sweet and has always been eager to please. He's smart and loves to practice tricks and solve puzzles for treats. He is a blast, and is content to nap all afternoon after a round of fetch or tug. He is great with kids, dogs, and cats. He is housebroken and trained with a front lead harness. He needs a home that has the financial resources to provide him with regular veterinary care for his cancer and has the time and love to spare to give him the golden years he deserves. He would be a perfect fit for someone with experience with senior dogs.

Someone took good care of him before he was dumped. We posted him everywhere no one showed. He is so wonderful!! He listens so well and has wormed his way into my home with all my babies. But don’t let his age fool you — Kirby is not an old man. He still loves his outdoor adventure moments, especially hikes, exploring, and playing in streams. He’s the perfect mix of chill companion and fun adventure buddy. Kirby loves playtime with his humans, getting attention, and soaking up all the love you’re willing to give. He is smart, routine-oriented, and one of those dogs who understands the rhythm of daily life. He waits patiently in his spot for food and treats, knows his routine, and has such a steady, sweet presence.
