I love to play with toys or just hang out in the backyard with you. My foster mom says I look like a gremlin when I run around the yard, probably because of a big scar across my back. I don't talk about that -- it's in the past and I'm looking forward to a bright future with you! I do like the security of having my own private den (aka crate), especially when you must be away from home or if I eat in the company of other dogs. I may bark a little when you leave, so apartments, townhomes, or condos probably won't work because not all neighbors are understanding. The best part of me is that my foster mom will provide two FREE training sessions to make sure I settle in just perfectly to my new pad. Free training and a laid-back dude like me as your BFF -- that's a deal, right? Age: 2-3 years Weight: 65 lbs Temperament: Prefers calm, routine home and female dogs of the same size. Requires calm/older kids and sturdy adult handlers. Training: House trained, crate trained, knows commands, good off-leash Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative. To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application ( www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption ) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.
