Story
A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY:  Approx.  2 years old / Approx. 34 lbs.  Hi, my name is Asher!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I’m very grateful.  The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix and my handsome ginger brindle coat, and compact body.  I bet you will be too! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program offsite and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, though I can be barky when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so if you have older dog-smart kids, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy and funny’ around the shelter.  I’m happy with a fun nature, and sure to be a great addition to your family.  I am full of playful energy and am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo type home would be a good fit for me. I’m a lot of dog in a little package. I’m also very sweet and fun! I was a very good boy, calm and sweet for my shelter bath.  Affectionate and social, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive. / My energy level is 8-9, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer.  So far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘place’, and ‘drop it’ commands, as well as accept friendly strangers without jumping and utilize proper door etiquette.  I’m currently working on my leash manners using my gentle leader.  I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer is using the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks.  I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun and yummy! / I’m doing well in my little room at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve had only a couple of accidents on the shelter schedule, so I think I’ll do well in my new home once I know our schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE toys and enjoy having fun with them when the volunteers break them out at the shelter.  I’d enjoy a nice, fenced yard where we can have lots of play sessions together.  When it’s time to chill, I always enjoy a good petting.  I also enjoy my walks, but I need a strong walker, as I am a strong boy and can be reactive to people and other animals on walks.  / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum etc. so I don’t like those. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a dog savvy family where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 11, 2024, 6:52 am

Story
A SUPER SWEET GUY:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 49 lbs. & needs to gain some weight Hi, my name is Nooney!  I found myself in need of a good home, so some folks helped me work my way to Mostly Mutts for which I am grateful!  I’m in a great foster home now and ready to meet my new family and start our life together!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  There’s an 8 lb. Yorkie in my foster home and I do very well with her, though I’m big and do sometimes walk over her a bit, but I think it’s more about my size than anything else. If you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / There are high school aged kids in my foster home and I’m great with them!  I haven’t met young kids, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’ve been described as super friendly, loyal and a personable dog that is very loving and wants to be with people all the time. I’m super sweet and cuddly with a wagging tail that expresses my joy! I have a great spirit and am very loving and I’ll sleep at your feet as well as follow you around.  I’ve also got a reputation of being ‘handsome, smart and sweet’ – I bet you will agree.  Affectionate and fun, I am sure to bring lots of love to my new home. I’m a strong boy, but don’t seem to know it. I do like to run, so please don’t let me off leash. / My energy level is around a 5-7 – lower in my foster home, but a bit higher in my temp. home. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and am getting familiar with the ‘stay’ command.  I also have good leash skills.  I bet you can teach me even more great things.  I take treats nicely out of my people’s hands, so my continued training should be fun – and yummy! / In my current foster home, I don’t love the crate, but I do calm down after a little bit.  I didn’t seem to need a crate in my temp. home as I was trustworthy in the home. / I’ve had good potty manners in my foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like to be with people and enjoy my walks with them.  I always enjoy bones and tennis balls and I’m ready to receive belly rubs, too.  I enjoy my time both inside and outside with my people and with both men and women alike. I find car rides enjoyable too. / I am very afraid of loud trucks and lunge at cars on walks and I’m not a big fan of being alone much.  Otherwise,  I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a loving home with a great family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  November 12, 2024, 6:55 am

Story
A SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 38 lbs.    Hi, I’m Kaylyn!  I was rescued from animal control, and I sure am happy about that!  I’ve been enjoying my time with the nice volunteers and now I hear that I’m ready to find my new family to love and be loved by – yippie!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I wanted to play with them too, so if you have a dog at home already who would like a playful friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as fun, playful, friendly, sweet, and active – ready to enjoy the good life with my family! I can see us going for walks, playing and discovering lots of things to do together. I was a good girl for my shelter bath and brush out too. / My energy level is 6 - 8 so I’d like to be active with my family.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I think that the stress of being at the shelter got to me, as a dog barked at me while I was on a walk and startled me, so I redirected and snapped at my walker leaving a mark on them.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’m having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please keep me on a good consistent take-out schedule so I can master my potty manners.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to zoom around in the MM play yard with the volunteers, so I’m sure I’d enjoy a fenced yard in my new home where we can play together.  I also love playing with toys and spending time with people. / I can’t think of any dislikes but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re looking for a wonderful friend to be active and have fun with, we could be great together!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 6, 2024, 9:44 am

Story
A SUPER SWEET PUPPY:  Approx. 6 – 7 months old / Approx. 25 lbs. & growing Hello – I’m Sophia!  I came to Mostly Mutts with my brother, and – as two young pups, we were super happy to become part of the Mostly Mutts family!  We are getting lots of attention and great care from the awesome shelter volunteers and now we’re both ready to find families of our very own!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program offsite and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came in with a sibling and I liked the other friendly dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am an active and growing puppy!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a ‘total love bug’.  I truly see myself as a lap dog and have the BEST cuddle skills.  I’m super sweet and gentle with a typical friendly puppy playfulness you are sure to love.  I’m growing braver by the day with the bath sprayer and am a calm girl for the shampoo portion, which feels a lot like belly rubs and butt scratches. Lol. / My energy level is currently 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where so far, I have learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘down’ commands.  I look forward to learning lots more great commands with my trainer.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having quite a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  As mentioned, I’m a fan of butt scratches and belly rubs!  I will ask for them by charming you with the best big, brown puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen.  I’m not yet interested in toys, but I bet you can show me how much fun they can be. / The cars on the road scare me.  I’m still working on my leash skills, as it is new to me, so I do better in the intake back yard.  Otherwise, I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed.  I came in with some healing boo-boos/crusting skin and thin fur but it’s healing now.  I still need medicated baths for a little longer and these can be done in my new home. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.      December 4, 2024, 7:39 am

Story
A WONDERFUL PUPPY:  Approx. 6 -7 months old / Approx. 29 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Grant!  I came to Mostly Mutts with my sister, and – as two young pups, we were super happy to become part of the Mostly Mutts family!  We are getting lots of attention and great care from the awesome shelter volunteers and now we’re both ready to find families of our very own!      • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like my sibling, and I was nice with the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, although I was nervous and didn’t want to play.  If you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / I met a cat recently at Mostly Mutts and was respectful, but a little scared of them.  I also met a cat in my temp. foster home and tried to play with them a little.  If you have a dog-friendly or dog-tolerant cat at home, let’s meet.  / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am an active and growing puppy! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a playful and fun-spirited pup.  Though I did not love the bath sprayer at first during my shelter bath, I was quite affectionate and relaxed for the shampoo, scrub and second rinse.  I’m alert and a good listener with a sweet nature to boot.  I am both relatively low key and gentle, as well as an active puppy - sure to bring lots of love to my new family … and lots of smiles with my cute, little head tilt! / My energy level is currently 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  So far, I’ve mastered the ‘sit’ and ‘down’ commands.  I am a food-motivated guy, so training time is yummy!  I am still getting the hang of leash walking; however, I liked walking with my temp. foster’s doggie – I wanted to keep up with them!  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts.  I did potty in there in my temp. foster home when I was left alone.  / I've been having quite a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m always excited to be with the volunteers!  They take me to the play yard where I can expend my fun puppy energy.  I like to play with you, and I enjoy playing with toys independently – Nylabones, balls, and soft toys (without stuffing) are a few of my favorites!  I also like to cuddle and sleep in soft doggie beds.  / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered.  I came in with some healing boo-boos/crusting skin around the base of my tail which is coming along nicely.  I still need medicated baths for a little longer and these can be done in my new home.  If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.       December 4, 2024, 8:01 am
