A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 35 lbs. Hi, my name is Asher! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I’m very grateful. The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix and my handsome ginger brindle coat, and compact body. I bet you will be, too! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! I am currently in a wonderful foster home, where I am able to continue all of my training. My foster mom and dad say that I am a VERY good student! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I have met other dogs at Mostly Mutts as well as in my foster home and liked them a lot! I also played along the fence line with another doggie in a temporary foster home when my regular foster was away – what fun!! I think I would ‘thrive’ in a home with another dog! I can be barky when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I get a little excited to see children, so kids age 10+ would be the best fit for me, as I wouldn’t want to bump over younger children and toddlers. Of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a sweet guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy and funny’ around the shelter. I’m happy with a fun nature, and sure to be a great addition to your family. I am full of playful energy and am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo-type home would be a good fit for me. I would love a backyard with a fence, as one of my favorite activities is chasing a ball. I will even bring it back to you as long as you will throw it. My foster parents have realized that I am also very good at entertaining myself inside, so I make a good office dog. I really enjoy going on walks, and enjoy several of them during the day in my foster home. I’m a lot of dog in a little package. I’m also very sweet and fun! I am great in the shower, when my foster parents give me my weekly bath. Affectionate and social, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive. I look forward to meeting all the members of my new home at my adoption! / My energy level is 6–8, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer is using the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks. I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun and yummy! / I did well in my little room at Mostly Mutts. In my foster home, I have perfect crate manners, and easily go into my crate when my foster parents have to leave the house. I even put myself to bed at night, by going into my crate without being asked. / In my foster home, I have had perfect potty manners and have not had a single accident. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE toys and enjoy having fun with them and I can entertain myself with a toy while you're busy, or if you prefer, I'd love to play fetch — just throw me a ball! I’d enjoy a nice, fenced yard where we can have lots of play sessions together. When it’s time to chill, I always enjoy a good petting and some cuddles with my people. I secretly believe that I am a lap dog, so often times I will sit in your lap and wrap my front legs around your neck for a big hug. I also enjoy my walks, but I need a strong walker, as I am a strong boy and can be reactive to people and other animals on walks. I absolutely love car rides, so let's hit the road and find some nice, more quiet places to explore together! / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum etc. so I don’t like those. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. Jax was acquired by my son and my wife in 2020 from the Humane Society. He was 2 at the time. Apparently his first owner passed away. Jax is a calm and loving dog. He gets along fine with the two cats we have. We keep him in a crate during the day when we are at work, but he is not usually penned at night. Jax does not get the love and attention he deserves; he needs to go to a better home. I am willing to keep Jax for as long as it takes because he deserves a good home, not a shelter.

Meet Percy!!! He is a handsome 2-year-old Pitty mix. He is a little cross- eyed with a lot of energy. Percy has the potential like most Pitties to be snuggling couch potato. Percy has the fastest zoomies. Itstarts with a boop to the snoot, a directed look, or a slight stomp of your foot and off he goes. Because he is a big powerful boy he would be better with teenagers. He can be redirected from zoomies by throwing his favorite ball on a rope and continuing to play ball until he tires. He does very well in his crate and jumps right in with the suggestion of a cookie. He doesn’t mind getting a bath and only complains when his dinner is late. Percy would be better with a female dog that likes to play. He is a little fearful of storms and will try to put his entire body in your lap or snuggle under your chair. A shop owner found Lucy when she was 5 lbs. We were asked to re-home her. We already have 3 dogs. I took her to Vet and they started her on her vaccines. She was given heart worm medicine and a medicine for parasites. She is the sweetest puppy and doing very well on her training. Just about have her trained. She sleeps in her crate. She is playful and gets along well with our other dogs. We would love to find a home for this sweet girl. She has a very sweet disposition and is very smart. The vet said she has Pitbill in her but we don’t know what else. She is about 13 lbs now and 10 weeks old. Almost house trained completely. She has had her first shots at 6 weeks and again a month later. I can obtain records to share. She is not picky with her food and is very calm and likes to cuddle.
