I was adopted for a short time, but my young dog mouthiness was a bit much for them, so I'm looking for a dog-savvy home that enjoys training and helping young dogs grow into their best selves. I can't wait to find my perfect family and start my happily-ever-after! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked playing with them! So, if you have a dog at home already, let's meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / Kids 15+ would be the best fit for me since I am mouthy, so if you have kids that age or older—perhaps dog experienced, let's meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a friendly, playful, and very active girl with a sweet personality, and a great smile to match! I'm a lot of dog with plenty of energy, lots of love to give, and I'm always ready to be part of the fun. I'm a kiss-giver who looks to my people for direction and reassurance, making me a loving and attentive companion. A favorite daytripper says that on hikes, I may pull a bit at first, but using "uh-uh" and stopping until I use loose leash to "walk" helps. Let's continue my training together, as there are more classes we can take with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I'm doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts, and I come out ready to go and have some fun—and a little excitedly mouthy! I would not want to spend a lot of time in a crate in my new home as I'm too active for that. / My potty habits have been good at Mostly Mutts and were good on the off-site training program schedule, too, and being crated in the evenings helps set me up for success so there are not overnight accidents. I slept in a gated room for my temp. foster sleepover and had no accidents overnight. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love going for walks, exploring on nature adventures with my people, splashing in streams, and running joyful zoomies in the play yard! I also enjoy car rides, playing with toys, getting ear scratches, and spending time with the nice volunteers. An active family that loves the outdoors and spending engaging time with me would be a good match! / Other than possibly not liking hats, I wouldn't be happy in a home that I didn't get enough active exercise and good leadership and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. My foster does crate me before workmen come to the home. / In my foster home, I have had wonderful potty manners with no accidents. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE treats, toys (especially rubber ones with deep squeakers), Nylabones & large squeaky tennis balls. A nice, fenced yard would be great for our play sessions. When it's time to relax, I enjoy lots of petting & cuddles, & I secretly believe I'm a lap dog, so don't be surprised if I climb up & give you a big hug with my paws on your shoulders as I love being close to my people. I also like my morning walks, though I'll need a strong walker since I'm a strong boy & can sometimes be reactive to people & other animals (though in my foster home I've improved so much at not being reactive to people). In fact, on our nice quiet neighborhood walks I'm thrilled to visit the neighbors who pet me, even pulling toward their houses—they are my fan club! A nice quiet type of neighborhood is just what I love. I absolutely love car rides, too! / I dislike thunder & bark at it a bit—like, hey quiet down up there! I previously reacted to the vacuum cleaner & doorbells, but I'm getting better at not chasing the vacuum cleaner & settle much quicker when the doorbell rings in my foster home. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped & neutered. I should wear a muzzle or be pre-medicated when vetted & for nail trims as this can be pretty frightening to me. I may try to snack on my #2, but there are supplements that can help prevent that—also my foster just cleans it up, so I don't. I am looking for a dog savvy, loving family where I will be cherished! Meet Percy!!! He is a handsome 2-year-old Pitty mix. He is a little cross- eyed with a lot of energy. Percy has the potential like most Pitties to be snuggling couch potato. Percy has the fastest zoomies. Itstarts with a boop to the snoot, a directed look, or a slight stomp of your foot and off he goes. Because he is a big powerful boy he would be better with teenagers. He can be redirected from zoomies by throwing his favorite ball on a rope and continuing to play ball until he tires. He does very well in his crate and jumps right in with the suggestion of a cookie. He doesn’t mind getting a bath and only complains when his dinner is late. Percy would be better with a female dog that likes to play. He is a little fearful of storms and will try to put his entire body in your lap or snuggle under your chair. This is rolo we got him about 6 years ago at an animal shelter so he’s about 6. We need to find him a home asap cause we are moving and he’s living with me rn untill I can find him a home cause my fiancé that I live with has a pitbull mix that had a history of not likening male dogs and fights with male dogs.
