Story
A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 40 lbs.  Hi, my name is Asher!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, & I’m very grateful.  The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix & my handsome ginger brindle coat, & compact body.  I bet you will be, too! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program & learned a lot!  I am currently in a wonderful foster home, waiting for my match! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I enjoy playing with & going for walks with other dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, but I should not live with another dog as I have guarded toys & dog beds from them.  I can be barky/reactive when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you exactly how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / No cats please. / I get a little excited to see children, so kids age 10+ would be the best fit for me, as I wouldn’t want to bump over younger children. Of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy & funny’ around the shelter.  I’m happy with a fun nature, & sure to be a great addition to your family.  I am full of playful energy & am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo-type home would be a good fit for me.  I would love a backyard with a fence, as one of my favorite activities is chasing a ball.  I will even bring it back to you as long as you will throw it.  My foster parents have realized that I am also very good at entertaining myself inside, so I make a good office dog.  I really enjoy going on walks & I do enjoy several of them during the day in my foster home.  I’m a lot of dog in a little package.  I’m also very sweet, protective & fun!  I am great in the shower or bath, when my foster parents give me my weekly bath.  Affectionate & social with the people I’ve been properly introduced to, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive.  I look forward to meeting all the members of my new home at my adoption! / My energy level is 6–8, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ & ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette & have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping when properly introduced.  I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer is using the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks.  I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun & yummy! Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / I did well in my little room at Mostly Mutts.  In my foster home, I have perfect crate manners, & easily go into my crate when my foster parents have to leave the house.  I even put myself to bed at night, by going into my crate without being asked. / In my foster home, I have had perfect potty manners & have not had a single accident.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE toys - especially rubber ones with deep squeakers, Nylabones, & large squeaky tennis balls.  I can entertain myself while you’re busy, or we can play fetch together -  just throw the ball!  A nice fenced yard would be great for our play sessions.  When it’s time to relax, I enjoy lots of petting & cuddles, & I secretly believe I’m a lap dog, so don’t be surprised if I climb up & give you a big hug with my paws on your shoulders. I also like walks, though I’ll need a strong walker since I’m a strong boy & can sometimes be reactive to people & other animals. I absolutely love car rides, too, so let’s go find some quieter places to explore together. / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum, doorbells, etc., but I can be trained not to react to those as I’m smart. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, & training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped & neutered. I may need to wear a muzzle when vetted as this can be frightening to me. I am looking for a dog savvy family where I will be cherished!  My adoption fee is $299.00, & I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 8, 2026, 7:16 am

A DELIGHTFUL PUPPY:  Approx. 3 months old / Approx. 16 lbs. & growing Hi there!  I’m Limerick!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I’m just a baby and am so happy to be in a great foster home while I wait for my new family to come and adopt me – hopefully very soon!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I liked the dogs I met at the shelter, so I would likely enjoy another dog in my new home if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend.  Let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids in my foster home, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over.             • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The two words that describe me best?  Adorable and fun!  I am a spunky puppy with playful energy and a heart full of love.  I was a brave boy for my shelter bath – sitting calmy, even for my ear cleaning, though I voiced a bit of displeasure during it, because … well … I have an opinion – lol.  Happy and loving, I am going to be a great companion to a lucky family! / Energy level:  4-6 currently, though this could change as I grow up.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and walk pretty well on my leash in the yard for potty breaks.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend.  Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s continue my training together. / I don’t like going in the crate, but I am learning. / I’m just a baby, so I’m working on my potty manners - my foster takes me out approx. hourly during the day and after playtime, so just know that you will need to finish my potty training in our yard. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I am an equal fan of playtime with my toys and cuddling with my people.  Curling up for a comfy nap after a great play session?  The day can’t get any better than that! / Except for that pesky crate, I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    March 25, 2026, 3:56 pm

Story
A FRIENDLY & FUN GIRL:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 34 lbs. Hi, I’m Taryn!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me.  Now I hear that I’m ready to find a wonderful family of my very own – where I can love and be loved furever!  I hope to meet them very soon!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not care for them, so I’d like to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a friendly, active, happy, and fun dog.  I was a little unsure at first when I got into the bathtub - but I was very sweet and handled my bath and nail trim well.  I am a bit vocal when I see other dogs or people, so I’d do best in a home that’s not an apartment or condo as there is usually a lot of activity in those type of home settings. / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands and I look forward to learning more.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners have been good. / I’m having accidents on the shelter schedule, so I’ll need your help in this area with a good consistent potty schedule.      • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like playing with toys and spending time with the volunteers, and I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we’ll enjoy doing together in my new home. / Other than other dogs and restraint for my vetting, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I wasn’t a fan of being restrained during vetting, so a muzzle may be helpful during my vetting.  I’m a fun-loving guy looking for a wonderful family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 25, 2026, 3:56 pm

Story
Jax was acquired by my son and my wife in 2020 from the Humane Society. He was 2 at the time. Apparently his first owner passed away. Jax is a calm and loving dog. He gets along fine with the two cats we have. We keep him in a crate during the day when we are at work, but he is not usually penned at night. Jax does not get the love and attention he deserves; he needs to go to a better home. I am willing to keep Jax for as long as it takes because he deserves a good home, not a shelter.

Story
Meet Fifi! Say hello to Fifi, our sweet 5-year-old bully mix with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit. Fifi came to us as part of a shelter pull from Gwinnett County, along with three other dogs, and she’s now getting the care and love she deserves while she prepares for her bright future. On the Road to Recovery When Fifi arrived at the shelter, she had unfortunately been severely underfed in her previous home. The shelter started her on a carefully monitored re-feeding program to help her regain weight safely, and we are continuing that program to make sure she gets back to a healthy, strong condition. Every day she’s getting a little stronger and happier! Friendly & Social Despite everything she’s been through, Fifi has remained incredibly sweet and loving. She does well with other dogs and enjoys being around people who give her the kindness and patience she deserves. Healthy & Well Cared For Fifi is up to date on all of her vaccines and has tested heartworm negative, so once she reaches a healthy weight, she’ll be ready to start the search for her forever family. Looking Toward Her Forever Home Right now, our focus is helping Fifi become strong, healthy, and confident again. Once she’s reached a good weight, we would love nothing more than to find her a loving forever home where she will always be safe, cared for, and cherished. Fifi has already shown how strong and loving she is—soon she’ll be ready to share that love with a family of her own. ##2682216##

Story
Meet Percy!!! He is a handsome 2-year-old Pitty mix. He is a little cross- eyed with a lot of energy. Percy has the potential like most Pitties to be snuggling couch potato.  Percy has the fastest zoomies. Itstarts with a boop to the snoot, a directed look, or a slight stomp of your foot and off he goes. Because he is a big powerful boy he would be better with teenagers. He can be redirected from zoomies by throwing his favorite ball on a rope and continuing to play ball until he tires. He does very well in his crate and jumps right in with the suggestion of a cookie. He doesn’t mind getting a bath and only complains when his dinner is late. Percy would be better with a female dog that likes to play. He is a little fearful of storms and will try to put his entire body in your lap or snuggle under your chair. Adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. Story
Diamond a 5 year old Pitbull and Husky mix has been in rescue for 4 years and through no fault of her own. If you need a “Ride or Die”, she is your girl. She loves a car ride. She will look into the cars around her silently judging the occupants. Diamond has conflicting genetics. Her pitbull side wants to snuggle on the couch with someone she loves. Her Husky side wants to jump the fence and chase after deer, or wants to find the neighborhood children to visit with.  Diamond does not show well at adoptions. People are drawn to her different colored eyes (one brown, one blue), but Diamond shrinks away trying to make herself small to avoid the attention. Diamond tolerates being petted by strangers. It is only after she learns to trust you that she gets excited and seeks you out. Diamond has been in two foster homes. The second home was a better fit, as she does not do well with cats and she was crated much of the time. She still loses her mind when she sees her other family. Diamond never forgets those that earn her love. Once Diamond loves you she begins to melt as you pet her, turning into a pibbie puddle on the ground waiting for her belly rub. If you have a high fence 6+ feet or don’t mind leash walking come meet Diamond. Diamond knows her assignment and will quickly go potty every time she is walked. Adoption fee is $300 Diamond is fully vetted: vaccines, spayed, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms. To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##1183334##
