Bruiser was picked up by Newton Co. Animal Control over a month ago. No one came to claim him and nor did he get adopted. Then after a month in a loud kennel he started have a mental decline & became depressed & it showed when he went out to play. He didn’t want to be with other dogs & didn’t want to play. The decision was made that he had to be out by Monday or other actions would take place. After seeing this poor guy, we decided to pull him into the rescue. He is a chill, older male boxer, about 5-7 yrs old, 65lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated & will be microchipped. When he came out of his cage, he was excited & definitely knew what a vehicle was because he jumped right up in the truck, laid down like a gentleman and enjoyed the ride. He knows the sit and shake command and is housebroken. He is not good with cats but is good with other dogs. If you would like to meet Bruiser please make an appointment with the front desk. An adoption application and interview are required for adoption. Adoption fee $250. Located in Covington, GA. Would be interested in finding a foster home in the meantime.

Meet our wonderful five-year old Pit Bull/American Bully mix. Our family can no longer give him the time and attention he needs, but we know he would make a great companion. He is very playful, high-energy, and intelligent. He would do particularly well in a caring home with adults, teens, or older children. Blue is house trained, but will likely need more training and an owner that is firm, consistent and loving. Lulu showed up at our house while I was pregnant one rainy night. She was such a sweet girl and after calling around, taking her to the vet see if she was microchipped, and calling the pound to see if anyone had called in looking for her no luck. We want to make survive goes to a good home. Our daughter is now 2 and loves her!! Yes I said 2 we have had her that long and we have made it worked but we don’t have a fenced in backyard and we travel often during the summer and my parents have helped with her but my dad is battling heart disease and it has become to much for us.
