Hi! I am Aspen, the girl who truly believes I'm the amazing "baby" of the family! I am told I sweet, affectionate, and an intelligent pup ready to show you just how much fun life can be. I am a super smart and an eager learner—I already know sit and lay down, and I pick up new routines quickly. When I need attention, I won't bark, I'll give you a polite little boop with my nose to remind you where the best scratch spot is! My favorite things in the whole world are belly rubs and chasing a ball. I am happiest when I'm playing outside, though I prefer cozy cuddle sessions indoors when the weather is chilly. I'm a very flexible girl! I would be wonderful as your cherished only dog, or I would happily join a home that already has a friendly canine sibling—I adjust easily to both! Because I'm so loving and have a gentle nature, I would be great in a home with kids who want a built-in playmate and cuddle buddy. Bruiser was picked up by Newton Co. Animal Control over a month ago. No one came to claim him and nor did he get adopted. Then after a month in a loud kennel he started have a mental decline & became depressed & it showed when he went out to play. He didn’t want to be with other dogs & didn’t want to play. The decision was made that he had to be out by Monday or other actions would take place. After seeing this poor guy, we decided to pull him into the rescue. He is a chill, older male boxer, about 5-7 yrs old, 65lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated & will be microchipped. When he came out of his cage, he was excited & definitely knew what a vehicle was because he jumped right up in the truck, laid down like a gentleman and enjoyed the ride. He knows the sit and shake command and is housebroken. He is not good with cats but is good with other dogs. If you would like to meet Bruiser please make an appointment with the front desk. An adoption application and interview are required for adoption. Adoption fee $250. Located in Covington, GA. Would be interested in finding a foster home in the meantime.
