Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Chop would do great in most any home. He needs a little work on basic commands and recall so should not be allowed off-leash. He is very friendly with other dogs but should not be around cats as he hyper-focuses on them and gives chase if they run. Have not assessed with children yet, but has a very gentle, submissive temperament and has shown no signs of resource guarding or reactivity so we believe he would do fine with kids of any age. Picked up as a stray and brought to Gwinnett County AC, but was never reclaimed. Has been in the shelter at least 4 months before we took him home to foster. Shelter staff and volunteers describe him as sweet, playful, and affectionate, but a bit a simpleton :).   He's cute! Age: 5 years Weight:  48lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, kids but not cats Training:  Just received, he is being assessed Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions:    http://ali@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.May 20, 2026, 3:59 pm

Story
Dexter is a sweet, goofy 9-year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix (65 lbs) who’s equal parts couch snuggler and fetch enthusiast. He loves people most of all and would happily trade solo toy time for a human throwing the ball instead—though he’ll entertain himself in a pinch. In a series of bad breaks...Dexter recently got a bit too enthusiastic during backyard ball time and permeated his eye. The vet said it had to go, so he's now got a permanent wink going on. Honestly? We think it makes him look even cuter!   Quick facts about Dexter: 9 years 65 lbs Boxer / Bulldog mix Housetrained & crate trained Neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative Recent dental care completed Good with dogs and kids (older, respectful preferred); no cats Knows sit, stay/wait, come, down, and more Walks well on leash Loves fetch, treats, and snuggles Dexter enjoys canine friends but would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. He does best with a fenced yard where he can play fetch and then head inside for a well-earned couch nap. After a day of adventure, he’s all about winding down with his humans and a good Netflix session. Story
Chloe is a loving 7 year old boxer/lab mix looking for an adult only home. She is house and leash trained and healthy. While she enjoys running outside, she is low energy inside the house. She is friendly towards adults and comfortable with get togethers, but takes sometime to warm up to dogs. Once she is familiar with a dog they will be best friends. We are looking to rehome due to our new baby boy. While we dreamed of Chloe growing up with him, we realized we can’t give Chloe the attention she deserves. The lack of a backyard coupled with minimum time to take her on walks is unfair to her. We hope we can find her a loving home with someone that can dedicate more time to her.

Story
**Harley** is a **5-year-old Boxer/Pit mix** who’s basically a **Golden Retriever in a Boxer/Pit body**—she follows you around, her tail is always wiggling, and she truly just wants to be part of your day. If you’re looking for a dog who loves being with her humans, Harley is your girl. Harley is a big love bug who’s happiest when she’s close to her people—lounging on a **couch, dog bed, or even a human bed** after a walk or play session. She’s affectionate, goofy in the best way, and brings joy wherever she goes. Harley is also a smart girl with a great foundation. She knows her **basic commands** and is even a proud **PetSmart puppy training graduate!** 🎓 She listens well, learns quickly, and genuinely wants to do the right thing. She just needs a person who will calmly guide her and show her what’s expected. She can get **excited around people** and may be a little **jumpy** at first—not because she’s wild, but because she’s trying to say, “Hi! Notice me!” The great part is that Harley is very responsive to direction, especially when treats are involved. She takes treats **gently**, sometimes giving them a quick sniff before delicately taking them from your fingers. Harley will thrive in a home that includes her in daily life—walks, weekend adventures, couch cuddles, and just being your loyal shadow. If you want a sweet, happy companion who will love you hard and make you laugh, Harley is ready. **Harley at a glance:** * **5 years old** • Boxer/Pit mix * Basically a **Golden Retriever in a Boxer/Pit body** * Affectionate “Velcro” dog who loves being near her humans * Knows **basic commands** * **PetSmart puppy training graduate!** 🎓 * **Smart, eager to please, and a quick learner** * Can be **jumpy when excited**, but responds well to guidance * Loves lounging on a **couch, dog bed, or human bed** * Takes treats **gently** If you’re looking for a loyal, loving best friend who will fill your days with tail wags, kisses, and cozy snuggles, Harley is your girl! 💗 📩 Interested in adopting (or fostering) Harley? Story
Bean LOVES all people. She is incredibly snuggly and just wants her own people to cuddle on the couch with.Bean is a little bit wrecking ball, a little bit prissy princess, and a lot of perfect pocket pittie couch potato. Will throw herself at her people full of love and kisses, but refuses to go out in the rain and hates being cold. Has spurts of energy but is 90% couch potato. Loves car rides and just wants to be with her people as much as possible. She'd make a GREAT long haul trucker or rv companion, or an apartment or home dog. She's very nearly perfect!1-2 years oldpetite 40-45 pounds.house trainedused to walking on a leashQuickly learning basic commandsLoves toys that she can squeak, chase, and chew; short walks, car rides, and her people.up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and spayed.Dog selective; not cat tested, but cats not recommended due to high prey drive.would do best in a home with no young kids; her play style may be too rough for little ones.
