She is very playful, loves to play fetch with people but does not get along well with other dogs. She is house trained. Venice was rescued on her last day of life at  animal control. She is a sweetie you just have to meet.Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Adopting from Hope Rescues saves the life of two.. the one you adopt and the one your adoption makes room for. We are a Rescue which means we physically go and save lives. Hope pulls animals on their last day of life from animal control facilities that still use the inhumane gas chamber to put to death homeless pets. Dug came to us about a month ago. He was on the list to be euthanized (overcrowded shelter). We worked with a rescue that transports dogs at kill shelters to bring him from Cali to our home, just outside of STL. He was a bit anxious at first, but became attached to my hip in less than a day. My husband and I slowly introduced him to our other pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) and the intros with the dogs went well, but we found overtime that Dug was a little too interested in the cats. So, we made the very heartbreaking decision to find him a new home where he could be comfortable. Dug struggles being alone at first, needs to be monitored in a yard with a fence less than 5 feet tall, and would need to avoid a home with cats. Dug is an extremely loving and silly little guy. He is great on a leash, seems to pick up quickly to training, and gets along with other dogs. If you choose Dug, you are choosing a friend for life. From Dug: My name is Dug.
