Story
Meet Hannibal, a gentle 40-pound soul who is looking for a quiet place to finally let his guard down. Hannibal is the ultimate "work-from-home" companion; he is incredibly low-energy indoors and loves nothing more than curling up at your feet while you work. While he can be a bit shy at first, once he feels safe, you’ll be rewarded with his adorable tail wags and a deeply loyal presence. He is a "dog’s dog" who truly shines when he has a larger canine sibling to look up to—having a buddy seems to give him the confidence he needs to relax and feel at home. Because Hannibal has a sensitive heart and a bit of a curious streak, he’s looking for a specific kind of environment where he can thrive. He’d be happiest in a home without small pets, as he prefers the company of friends his own size. While he enjoys his outdoor time, he’s a bit of an explorer, so a secure 6-foot fence and a family that enjoys supervised yard play would be perfect for him. Hannibal is still learning that the world is a kind place, so he’s looking for a patient adopter who understands that he might need a little extra time and a slow introduction to settle in. If you have a stable home and a friendly dog looking for a calm brother, Hannibal is ready to be your new best friend.

Story
Meet Gourdgeous! The world’s most lovable "potato lady" is ready to squash her way into your heart! This sweet, low slung girl is the ultimate companion for anyone seeking a professional level snuggler. If you’re looking for a devoted, "gourdgeous" best friend to brighten your sofa and your life, she is the perfect pick. The Ultimate Houseguest Gourdgeous is a total star in the home and has impeccable house manners. Trustworthy: Fully potty trained and completely crate trained. She is a calm, respectful pup when left alone. Your Shadow: She truly lives for human affection and loves to follow her foster parents around from room to room, just waiting to soak up every pet and belly rub you're willing to give. The Perfect Balance: She absolutely loves her naps and is a top-tier couch companion, but she still keeps things fun with the occasional burst of joyful zoomies! Kid-Approved: Gourdgeous absolutely loves children and is ready to be a gentle, loving family companion. Furry Friends: While she is peaceful on leash and loves to dog watch from afar, she decided she did not care for the other dogs in her foster home. Because she prefers to keep her people's affection all to herself, she would do best as the only pet in the household. 🚶‍♀️ Out & About On her adventures, Gourdgeous is a focused and curious walker. She loves to "people-watch" with great interest and keeps a very keen eye on the local wildlife. She has a spirited interest in squirrels, so she’ll definitely keep you active and engaged during your outdoor time! While she can be a little shy at first when meeting new gentlemen, she is incredibly easy to win over with a tasty treat and a gentle introduction. Ready to adopt? Ask about Gourdgeous today and get ready for a lifetime of velcro-dog loyalty and sweet potato snuggles!

Story
Meet Acerola: Your New Favorite Cuddle Bug! Looking for a loyal, affectionate sidekick who gets along with everyone? Meet Acerola! This handsome pup is the ultimate companion. He absolutely loves to cuddle and wants nothing more than to be right by your side. If you have a spot on the couch and room in your heart, Acerola is ready to fill it. Social Butterfly (Once He Spies a Friend!) Acerola is a gentle soul who might take a moment to assess his surroundings, but once he knows he’s safe, his true colors shine! Dog Friendly: He has fantastic doggy social skills and takes corrections beautifully. He currently lives happily with an 8 lb Chihuahua and a 45 lb female Pit Bull, proving he is great with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Playtime Enthusiast: Though he starts off shy and submissive, once the ice is broken, he LOVES to play! People Approved: He is friendly with people, though he prefers to take his time warming up to new friends (especially the guys!) at his own comfortable pace. 🏠 The Perfect Housemate & Crate Champ Acerola is fully crate trained and views his crate as his safe haven. Because he is young and curious, he has an active mind and an impressive set of chompers! He is a big fan of Nylabones and loves to chew. To keep him successful and protect your home, keeping him crated when you’re away is the perfect recipe. (Pro-tip: He prefers a bed-free crate for now, as he likes to "remodel" his dog beds, though he gently leaves the stuffing alone!) ⏰ Routine is His Best Friend Acerola thrives on a good routine. When transitioning from his crate to the great outdoors, he just needs a quick, direct trip to his designated bathroom spot. Keep him on a frequent potty schedule, and he'll excel! Summary of Acerola: The Best Parts: Incredibly affectionate, wonderful with other dogs, excellent cuddler, and a playful, sweet spirit. Ideal Home: A patient adopter who will let him warm up at his own pace, a structured environment with crate use, and plenty of Nylabones to keep his tail wagging!

Story
Rainier is a bit nervous when he's outside exposed to the big, loud world, but once he knows he’s safe with you? He melts. His foster mom sat with him in his kennel for a grooming session, and Rainier officially gave it a 10/10 review. He was so incredibly happy to be brushed that he couldn't stop showing his affection; nibbling gently on her nose and her hat, just being the absolute funniest, sweetest little thing. 🐕 Playgroup Rockstar While the big outdoors might intimidate him a bit, put him around another playful dog and his confidence skyrockets! Rainier absolutely shines around other pups. His Play Style: Bouncy, silly, and full of play bows! He loves a good game of body slams, and rolling around with a canine friend. The Social Butterfly: He’s a vocal boy who will give little yelps to say, "Hey, don't stop, let's keep playing!" Great Manners: Even though he's still learning his initial sniffing manners, he is incredibly respectful. When his play partner wants a break, Rainier takes the hint and happily gives them space. Note: Rainier would really shine in a home with a confident dog friend in his future home! Having a canine buddy helps him realize the world isn't so scary after all. You might notice from his photos that Rainier has a condition called "double cherry eye," which is likely affecting his vision right now. But don't worry! help is on the way! He is currently looking for a medical foster, so that he can get the surgery he needs to fix his eyes allowing him to once again see the world clearly. He’s taking it all in stride like the brave boy he is. 🏡 Rainier’s Wishlist: A patient family ready to shower him with love and reassurance. A confident resident dog to be his playmate and guide. Plenty of regular brushing sessions. Rainier is proof that the sweetest hearts often come in the most sensitive packages. Could you be the one to show this scared baby boy that he's safe forever? Inquire about adopting or fostering-to-adopt Rainier today!
