Her rescue began as a stray, roaming a peach tree orchard. Kind folks kept watch and when she showed up again looking very pregnant a plan was put into place to try to capture her and bring her to safety. It was winter, and frigid temperatures were forecasted. This street-smart mama eluded capture and ended up giving birth to her puppies in a crawl space under a church, choosing a far corner where heat billowed out of a vent. Temperatures were in the single digits, so the fact that Peach found such a warm spot undoubtedly saved her puppies’ lives. Mama was trapped safely, and her puppies were rescued from the crawl space. The little family was transferred to a foster home and Peach had the opportunity to dote on her puppies without worrying about survival. They were warm, fed, comfortable, and loved. Peach was a wonderful mama and was so grateful for the kindness she was shown by her rescuers and foster family. Now that her puppies are old enough to find homes of their own, mama is ready too! Peach has been a dream companion and doesn’t ask for much. She is an active girl who loves to play and run around outside. She’d love a big fenced in yard at her forever home and boy does she deserve anything she wants after surviving such hardships and keeping her little family alive. Peach is crate trained, seems house trained, and is overall pretty quiet and easy-going. Being with her people is her favorite thing, meeting new human friends with ease. If you are looking for an adventure buddy, Peach is your gal! As long as she is with you, she is happy! The devotion she shows for her people is unwavering. Pepper is an extremely loving and loyal dog. She enjoys playing fetch, running around outside and chewing on bones and other toys (she is great about not chewing on other things like furniture or shoes). She particularly loves tennis balls. She is protective of her family and has been a very sweet companion for the past 5 years. She was born on 10/3/2020 and we adopted her at around 15 weeks. She is housebroken and very intelligent. She knows a handful of commands but can be stubborn at times. We sometimes think she is too smart for her own good. We recently had children and, unfortunately, she is not comfortable with the unpredictability of small children. We think she would thrive in a home without kids where she is able to get plenty of exercise. Her nature around those she is close to and trusts is completely loving and calm, but she does bark at those who approach the house and can be territorial of her home, so we often separate her from guests for her comfort.

Hello, I would like to introduce to Dustin. Dustin belonged to my brother, who suddenly passed away in December. Since then, Dustin has unfortunately been moved between four different homes in a short period of time. We believe this has caused him significant fear, confusion, and stress, and has made it very difficult for him to feel safe or settled. Dustin is a mixed breed (Pit Bull / Weimaraner mix), 4 years old, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations. In the right environment, he is a loving and loyal dog. He loves walks but also loves to snuggle under the blankets like he used to do with my brother. We have been working with a professional behaviorist who has evaluated Dustin and determined that, at this time, he would do best in: An adult-only home A home with no other dogs An experienced owner familiar with reactive or fearful dogs A calm, structured environment We love Dustin very much and are looking for a loving and patient home for him to thrive in.
