Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. Has some vision.Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats (see https://youtu.be/t_3b0r0n9LY ). But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies.I like to be active and meet people and other dogs (see https://youtu.be/9LG4Cy9_kJI ). However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nWkm8OssZU ). At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved (see https://youtu.be/Y_-7FDicj-M ).I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person.Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tank is a 3-year-old, slightly under 40 lbs, boxer mix that was found as a stray during his initial stay at the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. His original owners reclaimed him only to return him and his littermate at a later date for reasons not related to Tank. He was then adopted a second time just a few days later, only to be returned due to “guarding his food bowl from their five resident cats”.   When Tank was at the shelter, he shook terribly and would hide in the outer parts of the kennel, hardly being noticed and full of fear and stress. His chances were very slim, so he was pulled by his volunteer buddy.   Tank was pulled into a loving foster home in November 19, and has had time to decompress and shine! He has shown zero guarding concerns towards foster, and is respectful towards small critters (ferrets and guinea pigs in the home). They are not loose in his presence, but he goes over to their habitats, is friendly and respectful of them, and wags his tail.    Tank is not housebroken; he is working hard at it and has improved, but even the vet believes it is 2 and a half years of learned behavior, where he was never taught, so now we are breaking old habits that are instilled in him. He wears washable belly bands that work as diapers for his urine as needed, or when home we just frequently observe and let him out to potty.    Tank is dog selective, and lived in a home with cats prior. However, must go to a home that is savvy and can allow safe separation for cats and eating times. Tank is very kid friendly to respectful children, and does well with women and men. He walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and has learned commands such as “kennel up”, sit and shake. Tank is a complete LOVER, loves to be wrapped up under a blanket laying with his family. If you want a snuggler, Tank is 100% down for that!!    He loves he benebones, cheek rolls and toys so very much, and although he loves the big back yard so much, he prefers hanging out inside, snuggling to watch a show, and chewing a bone with his friends. He gets the zoomies, loves fetch and then is ready to come inside. As a very anxious pup, Tank has overcome so much at such a young age, and his foster family will foster him for as long as it takes to find him his PERFECT match!!    Now with SJR as of late March, we are looking for someone who either works from home, is retired or simply home more times than not, in a quiet home. Tank loves companionship!! He also will thrive with a family who can continually take him out to potty and be understanding and patient. He is a certified foodie, loves snacks and thrives on structure and routine.    He needs a family that will love him unconditionally and not give up on him. Tank really is a genuine sweetheart and loves all of the friends we introduce him to!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2026, 9:04 pm

Story
PT (short for Part Time, Pinky Toe, Public Transit, etc.) was born in October 2024 and adopted in January of 2025 Gainesville, FL, and then moved with her family to Philadelphia, PA in July of 2025. She has all of the personality and puppy energy you could ask for, while noticeably chilling out as she grows older. She loves going to the dog park and has incredible agility- truly a graceful freak of a dog! My partner and I have had increasingly busy schedules, and on top of that recently separated. This has put a strain on the amount of time we are able to spend going on long walks, to the park, and focusing on PT's needs in general. While the decision to rehome her has been incredible difficult, ultimately we want to find a home for PT where she can receive all of the attention she deserves.

Story
✨Meet Parissa! ✨ Parissa was originally brought into a shelter in Philadelphia after being found as a stray. Parissa tested positive for Parvo and therefore was in need of a rescue to provide them lifesaving medical care. We gladly stepped up, and gave her all the medical care she desperately needed thanks to our parvo program. Along with a lot of love and supportive care she now has fully recovered and is ready for a home of her own! Parissa is a boxer mix who is full of happiness for her second chance at life! Parissa is a young and happy puppy that will require a family up to the task of providing her the physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require. Puppies require a family who can continue their basic training and socialization skills to grow into confident and happy adult dogs! All dogs require an adjustment period after adoption to decompress and acclimate to their new home, routine, housemates, and environment. Patience, consistency, and guidance are required to help them successfully transition and become a part of their new family! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat www.angelsretreat.org West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
ABOUT ZEUS Zeus came to HAP after his owner passed away. At 7 years old, adjusting to shelter life after living in a loving home has been challenging for him. However, once he realized we all think he’s the cutest guy, he started to warm up to the place! Zeus has become a bit of a celebrity around HAP. Our animal caretakers often take him on walks through the building, where he happily stops to greet all his human friends. In true bully breed fashion, he can be a little stubborn, he now insists on visiting his friends after his outdoor walks. What can we say? The love has become an essential part of his routine! When he’s not soaking up attention, Zeus is a laid-back, easygoing senior pup who enjoys chewing on bones and going for short, leisurely walks. He is friendly with new people, easily won over by treats, and very affectionate. He enjoys long car rides, showing off his tricks, and melting into his friends for love! Given his age and size, Zeus is a low-maintenance companion who spends most of his day lounging or napping! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
