Story
Betsy is a FUN dog who loves to be with other dogs, maternal and bouncy. She is not aggressive or bossy but does have a bark and her terrier DNA comes out when meeting new smaller dogs. She has spent most of her time with bigger dogs and enjoys being the 'shortie' of the playgroup. Betsy is not food motivated, nibbles through the day, but has managed to become a bit fluffy. 50 lb dog now, she loves car rides, water! and sunbathing. Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and very health - a bit fluffy as she has matured, now 4 years old. Her breed had been a guess until now! a donated DNA test revealed the classic Houston mutt mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Lab, Boxer, German Shepherd, Shar Pei, Chow Chow. She is a short dog with medium double coat and a sharp mind. YouTube Video (meet Betsy): https://youtu.be/pGvcZikCFFc FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- Visit our Social Media to see more of our dogs! https://www.facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX History: Betsy came to another rescue with nursing puppies in June of 2023. She has been fostered with kids, other dogs and in a house/apartment. She is crate trained and loves routine - literally bounces up and down, runs outside then back into her crate to nap. She would benefit from a yard due to her energy.

Story
Big boy Chief is just now 5 mo old and already weighs 30lbs. We expect him to be 60-65lbs when full grown. He is a very gentle tempered, affectionate puppy so he’ll be a gentle, kind dog when he’s full grown. He is a happy boy and he shows it by always wiggling his little nub tail. He is also a very smart little guy that can learn manners just by observing. Although he loves training games with lots of treats, too. He gets very excited when it’s time to go outside into a fenced yard to play with his foster siblings and bask in the sun. He gets along wonderful with dogs of all sizes and he even likes to cuddle with the kitties. Because he has such an easy going way about him, he would be a great family dog for a home with school age children. He’s not a high energy boy and will self entertain if his people are busy. Chief is doing great with his crate training and he needs just a little more help with house training. Because of his young age, he is not yet neutered. His surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption.

Story
Hi! My name is Kwame and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on April 4th, 2025 because they were moving and could not take me wtih them. I lived in a home with another small dog for a while and my owners said I did well with them but don`t know if I like dogs my own size. My previous family also stated that I did well with people of all ages, including very small children. They said it was my best quality! I have put on a lot of weight and will need help shedding some pounds in my new home. My new family should be prepared to work with their vet on a plan to help me get healthy! I currently weigh 98lbs and should weigh approximately 70lbs.I am considered a large breed dog.I am a very smart dog! My previous family said I know `sit` and `down`. I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Hello! My name is Wishbone. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m ready to find a new home! I`m a sweet but low key boy who needs time to get to know people before I get affectionate. Nothing is known about my history but my behavior suggests I may not have been well socialized. This means that everyday experiences may frighten me more than the average pup. I will need a home that understands my shyness and is willing to go at my pace. I`ve been very loving with the staff members who frequent my kennel and spend time with me - I like to put my big head in their lap and get those sweet, sweet ear rubs. I love chicken jerky treats and will be the bravest boy possible if it means I`ll get one! I keep a clean kennel and am polite for leashing. Due to my size and fearfulness, I will be most likely to succeed in a teen/adult only home where my boundaries can be easily understood and respected. I weigh 60lbs and am considered a large breed dog. I am currently underweight, my new family will want to work with their vet to help me get to the proper size. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

A Bully breed with a long tail, perky ears - Girlie gets along with everything and everyone! 2 years old, 50 lbs, housetrained, crate trained and loves car rides! Her Story : (YouTube link) https://youtube.com/shorts/72xb9ckhfVQ?si=KcnKts4vUs9-bbjW Girlie was treated with antibiotics for Urinary Track Infection (UTI) and skin infections; then required a Transpalpebral Enucleation of her left eye. She does not currently have any special needs or medical needs. Girlie has recovered completely from being neglected! Dewormed, Vaccinated, Spayed, Microchipped and on prevention (testing heartworm negative) - she is ready to travel this Spring. Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Due to illness and starvation at intake, Girlie will guard her food (eating in a kennel keeps the peace) Resource Guarding is a normal behavior for dogs who have been without. Girlie lets her foster take her food, play with her during eating and tolerates sharing attention and waits patiently for her turn to get a treat. She low growls if other animals come near her food during meal times.
