I was created to help with hunting and still help with this and other farm related jobs in the Southern US, Argentina and around the world. I am known for more loyalty, protectiveness, intelligence and hard work. My caregivers have noticed that am a giant marshmallow that wants very little more then all of the affection that anyone can give to me! I also enjoy food, paling around with my mate that I came to the rescue with, sleeping in hilarious positions and lots of good food. I am a very gentle soul with sweet brown eyes and a big head that will win you over instantly! I was brought in on 01/29/26 by a kind samaritan. When I first came to RASKC, my skin was in a rough condition, but with tender love and care and some vet intervention, I am healing up very well! You`d never know, except for my still-growing fur. At RASKC, I keep a very clean kennel and I am so gentle with my stuffed animals. I will often greet folks visiting my kennel with one of my toys in my mouth! I love walks, playing with my stuffies, and going on adventures! My caretakers love how gentle I am with everyone I meet; I am patient when they put on my leash, eat treats very gently, and enjoy cheek scratched and back rubs!I am a playgroup pal! I do really well with every dog I`ve met so far!I am neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! I even had a pawdicure recently and got my nails trimmed! I lived in a home with other cats and dogs.I weigh 75 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. I am quite chonky and should be about 10 lbs lighter :)I am a very smart dog! I have a lot of energy and am still learning not to pull on the leash when I`m excited, so I would do well in a home with a yard or someone to take me to the park where I can get my zoomies out regularly. However, I am learning how to heel and walk nicely on a lead very quickly. I love the treats my foster gives me for being a good girl. I also am a good listener and come to my name quickly.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home! I love my human and wish to be with them all the time, but I also love to play with toys by myself! If you`re chill, I`m usually chill, but sometimes I just want to play!My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other dogs and lived with cats previously. When meeting pets in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction, as I can be very excited to meet new friends.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!Your new pet received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although your new pet is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below.1) Obese - this dog is obese. Being overweight can lead to many health issues and can damage the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, joints, etc and increase risk of developing diabetes mellitus. Please follow up with your regular vet on a weight loss regimen.2) Blood in urine/urinary tract infection and crystals in urine - this dog was noted to have blood in her urine. We submitted her urine to the lab for a urinalysis. This showed evidence of a urinary tract infection and some crystals. We have started her on oral antibiotics. We have also started her on a prescription urinary diet, which she may need for life.
