Story
NOW PLAYING! RUFIO: THE LOST BOY OF LOVE! He’s got the brains, the brawn, and just enough mischief to keep you guessing. This isn’t just a dog. This is Rufio. Once a scrappy underdog, Rufio has emerged from the shadows of his past with a wagging tail and a heart of gold. Equal parts mischievous and loyal sidekick, this handsome pup is ready for his next great adventure: finding his Foreverland. Rufio is the ultimate leading man: smart, loving, and just the right amount of goofy. He’s got that “bangarang!” spirit, and a knack for turning every squeaky toy into an action scene. Need a co-star for a car ride? He’s your guy (though he may cry a little during emotional travel sequences). Looking for comic relief? He’ll toss his toys in the air and entertain himself until you’re in stitches. Off-screen, Rufio is pure heart. He’s a Velcro pup through and through, following his favorite humans like a shadow, or, let’s be real, like the world’s most loyal production assistant. When the camera stops rolling, he loves to snuggle up and take power naps worthy of an Oscar. Every hero carries a few battle scars, and Rufio is no exception. After some old fractures and the kind of hard knocks that make a dog wise beyond his years, our leading man prefers his adventures with a slower pace. Extended hikes and steep staircases aren’t his kind of scene. While his stride might be measured, his heart still races at full speed for the people he loves! He’s looking for a calm home, maybe with another laid-back, confident dog who can help him feel secure. A fenced yard and a comfy couch are all he needs to shine. He may bark when strangers approach (he takes his role as “guardian of the realm” very seriously), but deep down, he’s all love and loyalty. Rufio’s been through his training montage and is ready for his happy ending- one filled with love, laughter, and lots of popcorn. Adopt this silly, soulful boy and let him be the hero of your heart’s story. Rufio’s adoption fee is $450. He is estimated to have been born in May 2020 and weighs roughly 60 lbs. Rufio is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Rufio at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##1725448##

Story
Bowser came to me from a friend that moved and could not take Bowser with him. I agreed to foster Bowser until I could rehome the dog. Bowser is still a puppy about 9 months old. He has an abundance of puppy energy. Bowser wants to be a good boy! He just needs a good home and someone one to put the polish on his training and manners. Bowser is potty trained and crate trained. Bowser likes leash walks, and is very social with people and other dogs on these walks. Bowser has been to the dog park many times, but sometimes wants to play too hard with small and/or timid dogs. Bowser seems to enjoy the water as well. Bowser has had no direct contact with babies or little kids, city chickens or other livestock. So unfortunately I cannot provide any information about this. At this age of puppyhood, Bowser needs plenty of chew toys at all times. I am confident that Bowser will make a dedicated companion for the right person or family.

This beautiful 4-year-old Boxer mix has a soft, gentle personality and a quiet charm that's impossible not to love. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, she blossoms with patience, kindness, and a little time. Once you've earned her trust, you'll have a loyal best friend who loves being by your side. • Sweet, gentle, and affectionate • Loves forming close bonds with her people • Calm, easygoing personality • Working on her crate training, leash skills, and basic manners • Smart and eager to learn with positive encouragement • Would thrive in a patient home with a consistent routine • A secure, fully fenced yard is required so she can safely build confidence and enjoy the outdoors Neela may take a little longer to come out of her shell, but watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding. She's looking for a family who will celebrate the little victories, give her the time she needs, and show her just how wonderful life can be.

Story
Hi, my name is Harper! I was born in December of 2023. I appear to be a boxer mix and weigh 50 pounds. I came into rescue after I was found wandering around a rural neighborhood. I am the sweetest girl and love everyone I meet. No warm up period needed. My people say I have a lot of personality and I am a total wiggle butt. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I do well with other dogs. I would love to be with an active family. I was made for hiking! I have never been around children so it might be a good idea if they were eight and up. I am a healthy pup and if you are looking for a new fur baby, I may be the one. I am up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. I am house trained and walk well on a leash. I ride well in the car and love to be out and about. If you are interested in giving me a forever home please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com for application links and additional information.

Story
Ziggy is an older distiguished gentledog. He loves to be a couch potato. He does love going for a walk. He is always happy to see people and give them his paw. He follows commands and is crate trained. His nickname is "Tiger" because of his coat. He is very loving to people and selective to other dogs. Proper introduction is always a must. He wouldn't be ideal with a house that has small children. He is always eager to please. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1545628##

BEST WAY TO INQUIRE ABOUT THIS PUP EMAIL ADOPTIONS@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Meet Princess! Princess is a 5-year-old, 50-pound pit bull with a heart as big as her smile. She’s a sweet, goofy girl who absolutely loves her toys and is highly motivated by both treats and play, making her a fun companion and eager learner. Princess came to us after previously living with an unhoused owner. While she can be a little timid when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for her gentle, affectionate personality to shine through. Once she trusts you, she’s a total sweetheart who loves being part of the family.Princess can do well with dog-neutral animals when properly introduced. She does have a high toy drive, so she would not be a good match for a home with another animal that resource guards toys. Her enthusiasm for toys also means she can get a little overzealous during playtime, so we recommend a home with children age 10 or older. Whether she’s making you laugh with her silly antics, playing with her favorite toys, or settling in for some affection after a day of fun, Princess is ready to bring plenty of personality and love to her forever home.If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, playful companion and can give Princess a little patience while she gets comfortable, she may be the perfect addition to your family. She would not do well with cats. ##2767699##

Story
BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL Adoptions@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Colt is a 2yo tan M pitbull MEET COLT Staff Notes: Stand off-ish with people but does well with dogs smaller than him in size. Very playful with puppies.   Kennel Presence: Approaching kennel Colt showed us his sad puppy face. He was hesitant and cautious when first being leashed, but he is highly food motivated and easily coaxed with high value treats.   The act of leashing him is still a point of high anxiety and he has some handling sensitivity around this process. His person must be willing to work with him patiently so he can overcome this initial hurdle. Once the leash is on, there is a brief moment of hesitation, but when he is comfortable, he walks well. Dog to Dog: We tested Colt with (male) Blaze and (female) Lae’zel, he was an absolute superstar! He was loose leash with both dogs and interacted beautifully. He loves other dogs! His confidence completely skyrockets when a canine buddy is around, and he uses their presence to help him relax and navigate his surroundings. Colt will thrive best in a home with a social, well-adjusted resident dog who can act as his helper, build his confidence, and show him that humans aren't so scary. He needs a calm, peaceful home with a predictable routine. His people need to be content letting him exist in their space without demanding affection, allowing him to approach them entirely on his own terms. Touch: Colt is a gentle, introverted soul who is a bit shy and timid with new people. He didn’t allow touch during our time with him. While he isn't ready for big physical cuddles just yet, he is incredibly polite, takes treats with the softest mouth, and is content coexisting with you in a shared space. Due to his timid behavior and handling sensitivity, a home with no small children is recommended at this time.   ##2796159##
