Story
Ziggy is a male Boxer mix with  beautiful brindle tiger stripe markings. We have never seen a dog with such a beautiful coat of different colors.  ZIGGY is a wonderful guy with very polite house manners.  He is crate trained and housebroken and loves to spend time with people.  ZIGGY was rescued from a kill shelter in San Antonio,TX.  He enjoys long walks and smelling all the new things everyday on his walks.  Ziggy also loves to lay on his back staring at the sky and getting belly rubs.  Ziggy is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.  Ziggy would make a great dog for any kind of living if it would be an apartment or a house. WORF is current on all of his vaccinations, as well as neutered and microchipped.  WORF is currently living in TEXAS but can be transported to anywhere in the United States and CANADA.  Please inquire about WORF to set up a meet and greet and fill out our online application to get the process started to get this sweet guy a place to call home. ##1545628##

Prince loves going for adventures or hanging out on the couch with his humans. He does well with laid back dogs but will stand his ground when challenged. He would do best as the only dog in your home. Prince walks well on a leash, crate trained, and sits on command. Prince will need regular exercise and will need to be in a home with a fenced yard. Prince is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. ##1499381##

Story
Meet Kenny! Kenny is everything you would want in a dog. He is extremely friendly with every person and pup he meets. He loves to go for walks and then snuggle on the couch afterwards. While he is a big dog, he doesn’t realize it and loves to be on your lap (well as much as he can fit). He is wonderful with his foster family’s toddler. He likes to greet him every morning with a kiss! He is also house trained! Recently Kenny spent some time at Lucy’s Doggy Daycare and he did amazing in the big pups park! He’s also good with small dogs and cats. While Kenny can be crated while you are away, he is not a fan of being in the crate while you are home, which is alright since he is not a destructive dog unless it’s a good chew toy! Kenny is a boxer mix about 2.5 years old and 65 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Ruthie! She is 8 years old and weighs about 43 pounds. I think she looks like a Dalmatian mix but she has double dew claws like a great Pyrenese! We know from seeing sooo many DNA tests that she’s probably 10 breeds but if you want my best guess, there it is! Ruthie was found stray and came to us about 3 weeks ago. She was super shut down at the rescue and we thought maybe she didn’t feel well so she went to the vet and her bloodwork came back great! She’s healthy, but she was sad, so I brought her home to foster her. She has been SO GOOD with all of our other 7 dogs, boys and girls, large and small, PLUSSSS she’s GOOD WITH THE CAT! She hasn’t had a single accident and we’ve left her out for short periods of time while we are gone and she’s been perfect! She loves to sleep and snuggle and she’s way happier here in a home with people! She would make a very easy addition to any family!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Winnie is looking for her forever home! This ball of sunshine is a joy to be around, and with her zest for life and playful energy, she'll keep you entertained! She is the enchanting and goofy lovebug you’ve been waiting for! Friendly and comical, Winnie has a quirky way of greeting new friends. She can be a little coy at first, but once she welcomes you into her inner circle, you’re in for life! She would thrive in a home with a yard, where her playful energy and need for engagement can be fully embraced. Her playful nature extends to her choice of toys, preferring ropes, destroyables, and interactive treats that keep her engaged. She's got a thing for cardboard and occasionally likes to "help" with household chores, grabbing bits of paper or sniffing out plates left within reach.  Winnie is deaf, which makes her extra attentive to visual cues. She has mastered various hand signals and understands cues like sit, stay/wait, come, and more! She’s constantly checking-in with her humans and making eye contact to ensure she doesn’t miss out on anything that’s happening around her. Or more importantly, an opportunity for TREATS! Winnie loves going on walks and has great leash skills, although she can get a bit excited if something catches her interest. With gentle reminders and regular check-ins, Winnie is a joy to stroll around town with! Winnie needs to be the only pet in the home. The love and entertainment she’ll give you in return will more than make up for it, however! Winnie will certainly make sure your life is complete with all she has to offer! Winnie is 2 years old and weighs 75 pounds. She is a pit bull type dog whose love and boundless zest for life is just waiting to brighten your world! Let's find Winnie a home where her vibrant spirit will truly shine!  Winnie’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Winnie at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Winnie on her Facebook album!https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.659839742852383&type=3 ##1353787##

Story
Are you looking for a dog who adores his people, has a great sense of humor, is super smart, eager to please, AND is completely adorable? Sounds like Ferdinand is just what you’ve been waiting for! This kid’s the whole package! Ferdinand is such a goofball and keeps his foster family laughing. He enjoys relaxing inside with a Kong or Nylabone. He also loves a good stuffed toy, but be prepared for him to shred it immediately! Want to head outside? Ferdie does! He can’t resist a good roll in the grass, absolutely LOVES snow days, and will chase and play with water from the hose all day long. This spunky little nugget enjoys daily walks and LOVES to sniff and explore. He walks well on leash and is a great adventure buddy! He has gone on hikes, beach trips, car rides, and has a blast exploring new places with his people. Have we mentioned how smart he is? This guy knows tons of cues and loves showing off! Sit, lay down, come? Basic. Leave it, touch, look? Easy. High-five, shake, stand up, place, and speak? Bet. This kid’s got tricks! Above all, Ferdinand’s favorite thing is being with his family. He would be happiest in a home where his people can spend a lot of time with him and allow him to be the king of his very own, exclusive castle (no other animals, please)! He’s certainly got more than enough love, personality, and charm to fill a whole house by himself! Ferdie is 3-4 years old, weighs just over 50 pounds, and is a pit bull type dog. If you’re looking for a companion to cuddle, laugh, and play with, then Ferdinand requests you fill out an app today! Ferdinand’s adoption fee is $450 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Story
Clarabelle from our Cow Litter is looking for her forever home! This sweet girl is a lover and always wants to be snuggled. Her happy place is to play hard then snuggle harder! Clarabelle is obsessed with other dogs and would love either a canine sibling or regular playdates with other pups. She is great with kids and greets new people with excitement and a wagging tail!  Clarabelle has a great start with house training training and crate training, and as with all puppies, she will need continued training and socialization in her forever home to grow up to be her best self. We estimate the Cow Litter was born on 10/24/23 and they appear to be pit bull type dog mixes. They currently weigh between 25-30 pounds, and we expect they’ll likely be around 50-70 pounds when fully grown. They have been raised in loving foster homes and have been regularly exposed to new things, people, and other animals. They are the perfect puppy package of love, snuggles, fun, and play and will make wonderful additions to loving families!  If interested in adopting Clarabelle, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Her adoption fee is $550, and she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations. Per our rescue policy, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old for puppies.
