Meet her Saturday 7/18, 1-4pm, at the Pet Food Express at 1388 S. California Blvd, Walnut Creek. Williamina is a striking polka-dotted calico, about 1 1/2 yrs old, with quite the rescue story. She was found waddling the streets heavily pregnant and gave birth to her kittens the very next day. Needless to say, she is loving the indoor life!  All her babies have been adopted -- kittens always go first-- Now it’s finally Williamina’s turn. She has a great personality, confident, friendly, affectionate, still playful but not in the crazy way of kittens. She's good with other cats, but does like to be the alpha so would do best with a male cat. Also good with dogs-- she's living with two active cattle dogs. She'd also be perfectly content by herself. Ashes and Marbles are a bonded pair and have lived together their entire lives since they were kittens. They are looking for one home together. Marbles (born 2008) is an affectionate, easygoing gentleman. He enjoys being near his people, being petted and brushed, treats, catnip, and quiet companionship. He is the more outgoing of the two. Ashes (born 2009) is a gentle, sweet old soul. She is affectionate but a little quieter, happiest resting nearby, enjoying gentle attention, brushing, treats, and peaceful routines. Both cats are: Indoor-only Healthy senior cats Spayed/neutered Microchipped Current on vaccinations Litter-box trained Comfortable with handling and routine veterinary visits Neither requires or any special medical care. Kittens are best adopted in pairs to help with Single Kitten Syndrome. It is not a good idea to adopt a kitten in a house with a senior cat. Older cats typically don't like to "baby sit". If you have other cat(s) and/or dogs this allows for proper introductions for each other before meeting, which tends to smooth out the first encounter considerably. Make sure you spend lots of quality time with your new cat/kitten during the isolation period so that he/she associates the new smells and sounds of the new cat with positive attention. Eventually, you may introduce the new cat within a carrier to the other cat and judge the response. When the introduction response becomes neutral or calmly interested, a barrier-free meeting may be in order. Trust your read on the mood between the cats.
