Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. This spunky monkey kitten girl is Samantha. Samantha is a bit of a firecracker with loads of energy, fun, and confidence. Samantha is also a great lover girl, who isn’t afraid to ask for snuggles and pets, and who also loves to spoon her foster mom at night when they sleep. She also loves to nap under the covers in bed under and beside her foster mom’s legs, hug her foster mom’s neck from behind (this is the best), she LOVES playing and wrestling with her sister Charlotte and kitty toys, she will never say no to treats and wet kitty food, and she also enjoys when her foster mom’s adult cat boys groom and snuggle with her. Samantha is highly intelligent and intuitive, and excels in everything she does, however, she absolutely despises taking medicines, going to the vet, and receiving shots. She has never been around dogs or children, but will probably be okay, while she will probably need to be adopted into a home with another cat/kitten to meet her social needs. Ultimately, Samantha is ready to bring her lightning bolt of kitten energy into your home and your heart.  This kitty should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Samantha was born approximately September 1, 2024, and her adoption fee is $160, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  April 9, 2025, 5:41 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Bubba & Shiloh – The Sweetest Pair You’ll Ever Meet! Bubba is a gentle, 3-year-old orange tabby sweetheart who’s had a tough start to life, but you’d never know it by the way he loves people. He enjoys meeting new friends, getting pets, and curling up on your lap for snuggles. In his foster home, he shares a room—and a special bond—with Shiloh, an affectionate and playful 11-month-old grey tabby girl kitten who has chosen Bubba as her best friend and protector.   Shiloh can be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’s an absolute cuddle bug. She loves playing with wand toys, lasers, or even entertaining herself when Bubba’s feeling mellow. Together, they make the perfect pair—spending their days lounging side-by-side and bird-watching from the window.   They’ve both been around dogs and do well with calm ones, though they might hiss a bit if a dog gets too rowdy. Bubba is comfortable being held, while Shiloh prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. These two are deeply bonded and would love a forever home together. Like all cats, they’ll need a gentle, slow introduction to settle into a new environment—but with a little patience, you’ll gain two loving, loyal companions. Bubba was born approximately April 21, 2022, and Shiloh was born approximately June 1, 2024. Their combined adoption fee $222.50, which includes $20 each for microchips. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. He was the smallest of his siblings at birth, but his fighting spirit helped him grow into a strong, playful little guy—now just as big as some of the others. Story
Please contact Kathryn (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Cleopatra needs a hero! She is a beautiful, playful 8-year-old dilute tortoise-shell kitty who loves to be around people. As a kitten, she was adopted from Kitty City and lived with her person for 6 years, at which time her adopter became ill and died. Neighbors took her in but a month later relinquished her to a shelter, who scanned her chip and learned she was originally a Kitty City cat. So, we took her back and want to find her forever person/people! People who have expressed interest in her have been hesitant to adopt her because she is afraid of new people, and she expressed that fear through hissing, growling, and even sometimes swiping at feet/ankles. This behavior subsides when she learns she can trust. See her video below to observe how she is when she is comfortable in her home. She also does not appear to be a lap cat, nor does she like being picked up or held. She does, however, enjoy being nearby and will likely settle in near her person as a fantastic companion. She has been introduced to the foster’s dog and cats, and while she sometimes hisses, she has not been aggressive. This leads us to believe that she would adapt to a home with other cat-friendly pets if she is given a slow and patient introduction to them. Cleopatra has been in her current foster home since January 2023, and she is so ready to find her permanent home! Cleopatra needs a quiet home with someone who is patient and will give her a few weeks to adjust. She is a tortie and can be a little feisty at times, but who isn't?! Will you be Cleopatra's hero? She is available for appointments only at the foster’s home, so we encourage you to meet her if you are interested in providing the right environment for her! Be ready for a super rewarding experience!! Cleopatra was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped. You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Posh is a gorgeous little lady that came to Kitty City to continue feeding and caring for her kittens when they were just a few weeks old. They are now grown and she is ready for her permanent home. She likes play time with toys and sleeping on a platform or a cat tree. Posh will come up to you to be petted and can be held, but she does have a spunky streak in her. Once in a while during petting she will holler, swat, and lay teeth on her foster’s hand. She is not keen on other cats as she is dominant and probably will not adjust to young children or dogs as well. The best home for Posh appears to be one that is quiet with an experienced cat owner where she will be the only pet.  Posh was born approximately June 4, 2022, and her adoption fee is $105 or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above.
