Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Rizzo and Gonzo are mama and daughter kitties who will live their best lives together. Rizzo is a sweet mama kitty who has been working hard to take care of her babies. She’s been a bit defensive of them around other cats, so if she goes to a home with other cats a slow introduction will be necessary. She’s playful and snuggly, but takes a little time to warm up to people at first. She LOVES getting pets, and will climb up on her foster mama's lap for more.  Gonzo is a shy kitty. She’s still working on her social skills and developing trust with people, so she needs an adopter who understands her needs and will help her to become more comfortable and confident. She likes to climb up to look out the window to watch the birds and squirrels, and she loves a cozy spot to snuggle up with her mom Rizzo for a good nap.  These kitties should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Rizzo was born approximately October 15, 2022, and August 12, 2025, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $222.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  December 12, 2025, 9:31 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Bobbi Sue is a beautiful, smart little character who knows what she wants, and exactly how to ask for it! When she would like her litter box freshened, she sits by it and looks at her foster Mom. When she wants her electronic toy turned on, she goes over and bats it. When she wants her ping pong ball tossed (preferably the pink one), she starts batting it around. (This is real progress from when she used to gently nip her foster Mom when she wanted something!) When she rolls on her side, she’d like a back scratch and right side head rub, and rewards the scratches and rubs with purrs. When she’s ready to get off a lap, where she enjoys head rubs, she gets up and goes. If she needs to feel safe, she either goes in her cubby or sits where she can see everything. Bobbi absolutely loves squeeze up treats and play time! She particularly loves playing new games with her foster Mom.  Bobbi Sue (Bobbers) also has specific boundaries that need to be respected. She came to us with her two kittens, and presented stressed and shy. We don’t know much about her former life, but there is one particular hand movement that she reacts to, so we suspect something happened to cause that. She will be shy at first, but with patience, persistence, predictability, play time (and most importantly, the squeeze up treat), she will grow into a wonderful, fun cat companion who will want to be Queen of your house! We feel like we are not yet seeing her full personality, but the safer she feels, the more we see, and the more we like it.  We do not recommend a home with children, as she does best with routine and predictability. Bobbi Sue can be seen by appointment only. Can you find it in your heart to give this beautiful, fun girl a home? Bobbi Sue was born approximately May 7, 2023, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Cleopatra! If you’re looking for a companion kitty, Cleo could be the cat for you! She’s a beautiful gray tortoiseshell girl, who loves to play and be brushed and likes to be near her human, especially at nap time, when she will want to be close to you.She has a bit of “tortitude,” which tortoiseshell cats are known for. Sometimes she needs to be gently reined in if she gets too wound up during playtime! Sudden movements or sounds sometimes scare her.Cleopatra will be okay with cat-friendly dogs and other cats, once they’ve been given a proper introductory process. Her foster home has 4 cats and a dog, and she has become comfortable enough to hang out during the day.Cleo will need a few weeks to adjust to her new home, because she has had several changes in her life and she’s anxious about new people and places. But once she knows she’s loved and safe, she will be a wonderful companion kitty. If you’re willing to give Cleo some love, patience and a forever home, let us know! Cleopatra was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped. Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Malu and Nakoa are bonded brothers that want to stay together.  They enjoy chasing each other around the house, and like to play with stuffed toys, balls with bells, and feather wands. They are very sweet, loving, handsome boys who will cuddle with you, looking at you with their beautiful eyes to show their love for you.  Nakoa is white with black spots on his back with a black tail. He will wake you up giving you a nose rub and purring and then snuggle next to you while doing biscuits on your face.  Malu is mostly white with black around his eye and a white diamond on his forehead. He will also give you a nose kiss then snuggle on you. He loves to take straws and play with them. These kitties will want to play with each other and with their people, so be ready for some entertainment. If you're looking for sweet, loveable, cuddly kittens, these boys are for you.  These kitties get along with other cats but have not been around kids or cat-friendly dogs. They should do well if given proper introductions. Malu and Nakoa were born approximately January 17, 2025, and their combined adoption fee is $250. They are neutered, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Pete is a 13-year-old senior cat looking for a quiet home and an owner to love him. His owner died and it’s been a big adjustment for him to move to a foster home with a lot of cats, some who bully him. Previously, he lived with one cat and several small dogs. Pete is shy with strangers and will likely hide, so he will probably do better in a calm environment. With his family, he wants attention. He’s not a lap cat, but he likes to be nearby and to be petted and have his head scratched. He likes to sleep on the bed near his person but he’s also known to find a cozy, hidden spot where he feels safe and nap there, too. Pete is a picky eater. He loves treats and seems to do best on a dry hairball food. Right now he’s shaved because he was matted. His new owner will need to brush him often. He mostly likes fish wet food but doesn’t always finish it. Pete has been around small kids but would do best in a quiet home with just adults and kids who visit. Pete was born approximately September14, 2012, and his adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Gleason is a chubby love bug, who happens to be diabetic, but is very well managed on his current insulin dose.  He settled in quickly at his foster home and is very tolerant of his foster brother cats and giant dog.  In fact, Foster Mom says he likes the 100 lb dog best of all!  He loves to have his head and face petted, and will follow you anywhere for his wet food!  Gleason has had a dental (cleaning and extractions) and except for a shaved back where his glucose monitor used to be, he is absolutely perfect and ready for his forever family.  If you've never had a diabetic cat, they really are easy to manage with twice daily insulin injections. The insulin cost is approximately $75 for a 60 day supply. The injections are easy and Kitty City would be happy to educate you on the care of a diabetic cat. If you can open your heart to Gleason, you won't regret it!  This kitty should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Gleason was born approximately September 22, 2017, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off.
