Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Rizzo and Gonzo are mama and daughter kitties who will live their best lives together. Rizzo is a sweet mama kitty who has been working hard to take care of her babies. She’s been a bit defensive of them around other cats, so if she goes to a home with other cats a slow introduction will be necessary. She’s playful and snuggly, but takes a little time to warm up to people at first. She LOVES getting pets, and will climb up on her foster mama's lap for more.  Gonzo is a shy kitty. She’s still working on her social skills and developing trust with people, so she needs an adopter who understands her needs and will help her to become more comfortable and confident. She likes to climb up to look out the window to watch the birds and squirrels, and she loves a cozy spot to snuggle up with her mom Rizzo for a good nap.  These kitties should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Rizzo was born approximately October 15, 2022, and August 12, 2025, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $222.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  December 12, 2025, 9:31 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Nala is a super sweet and beautiful gray cat who loves people and wants to be close to her humans. She’s very affectionate, enjoys being petted, and is the kind of cat who will happily hang out with you on the couch or in bed. She is shy at first and will hide when meeting someone new, but after she has a little time to watch and get used to you, she warms up quickly and starts coming out for attention. Wet food is a great way to win her over faster, and once she trusts you she’ll greet you with sweet little meows and ask for pets. Nala would do best as the only cat in the home since she much prefers the company of people over other cats, and she’s looking for a calm place where she can be someone’s close companion. This kitty should get along with kids given proper introductions. Nala was born approximately February 1, 2015, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Hello! Noir here. Nory for short. I came to Kitty City with my sister Rory and now we’re on the hunt for our forever home. I love to chase my sister and create mischief wherever I go! I am quite the escape artist so you will need to stop me at the door! Once I’m done playing, I love to cuddle up with you (especially if you want to scratch my chin) for a nice nap. With my energy, I either need to go home with my sister or with another playful kitty friend. I have lived with adult cats and a dog! This kitty should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Noir was born approximately July 22, 2025, and his adoption fee is $160, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweet playful boy at our adoption center this weekend! Hi, my name is Rorschach, Rory for short. I came to Kitty City with my brother from another shelter. We have settled into our foster home nicely and are ready to find our purr-ever home, either solo or together! Some of my favorite things include: wrestling with my brother, dragging the teaser wand around, chasing the teaser toy, attacking the drawstring of your pants, and playing chase throughout the house. Once I’ve gotten my energy out, I love to snuggle up for a nap. I do have a lot of kitten energy so I definitely need to go home with my brother, Noir, or another extra playful kitty friend. I have also lived with older cats and a dog! This kitty should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Rory was born approximately July 22, 2025, and her adoption fee is $160, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Pete is a 13-year-old senior cat looking for a quiet home and an owner to love him. His owner died and it’s been a big adjustment for him to move to a foster home with a lot of cats, some who bully him. Previously, he lived with one cat and several small dogs. Pete is shy with strangers and will likely hide, so he will probably do better in a calm environment. With his family, he wants attention. He’s not a lap cat, but he likes to be nearby and to be petted and have his head scratched. He likes to sleep on the bed near his person but he’s also known to find a cozy, hidden spot where he feels safe and nap there, too. Pete is a picky eater. He loves treats and seems to do best on a dry hairball food. Right now he’s shaved because he was matted. His new owner will need to brush him often. He mostly likes fish wet food but doesn’t always finish it. Pete has been around small kids but would do best in a quiet home with just adults and kids who visit. Pete was born approximately September14, 2012, and his adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this special boy at our adoption center this weekend!  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Cleopatra! If you’re looking for a companion kitty, Cleo could be the cat for you! She’s a beautiful gray tortoiseshell girl, who loves to play and be brushed and likes to be near her human, especially at nap time, when she will want to be close to you.She has a bit of “tortitude,” which tortoiseshell cats are known for. Sometimes she needs to be gently reined in if she gets too wound up during playtime! Sudden movements or sounds sometimes scare her.Cleopatra will be okay with cat-friendly dogs and other cats, once they’ve been given a proper introductory process. Her foster home has 4 cats and a dog, and she has become comfortable enough to hang out during the day.Cleo will need a few weeks to adjust to her new home, because she has had several changes in her life and she’s anxious about new people and places. But once she knows she’s loved and safe, she will be a wonderful companion kitty. If you’re willing to give Cleo some love, patience and a forever home, let us know! Cleopatra was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped.
