Meet Marcie!Marcie is, like, ridiculously pretty. It's completely unnecessary for a cat to be THIS pretty. She's also alarmingly photogenic. It's impossible to take a bad picture of her. Unflattering photos of Marcie just DON'T exist. She's the only creature on the planet that would look good in those awful cameras at self-checkout.Marcie is about four years old and she came to us after she was having a difficult time adjusting to so many small children in the home. And, yes, her owners tried. Extensively. You can, of course, teach small children to respect boundaries and personal space but it takes time and Marcie was miserable and it wasn't fair to her. So here she is...classy, sassy, and looking for an adult only home where she can have some peace and quiet for once in her life, dang it. (Teenagers would probably be fine.)This is the kind of girl that you need to sweet talk before anything. She can absolutely be bribed with churus, which definitely help, but you're going to have to sit with her, talk to her, and then, if she deems you worthy, you may touch her. And touching Marcie? Like touching a warm cloud.If you're REALLY lucky and she takes a shine to you, she'll curl up in your lap or maybe even let you pick her up. If you're really, REALLY lucky, she'll let you zip her up inside your sweatshirt and be carried around like the precious cargo she is. She's sort of like Eclair in the sense that she has her limits and, when she reaches her limit, she'll slap you. It happens far less often with Marcie than it does with Eclair though. Like, Marcie attended at least 1 (one) anger management session. Marcie tolerates other cats and can coexist with them peacefully as long as they leave her alone. She can get pretty defensive if they corner her and will get slap happy again. She does NOT like dogs.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application.
