Story
My person went into a nursing facility. No one in the family could give me a home. I was brought to the shelter. Sad and confused, that is how I feel. I am 12 years old. 12 years of sweetness! I did not live with other pets; it was just the two of us. Hopefully I will not be here long. All I need is for you to find me. I have a senior adoption fee. For information about me and/or the adoption process email ds4paws@hotmail.com o call Rob at the shelter 508 822 1463. An approved adoption is required to bring me home.

Marvin is a short hair domestic black cat. He is full of life, energy, curiosity, playfulness, and love! He craves his independence but will also cuddle up with you on the couch any given day. He's sweet, affectionate, and loves his humans. We adopted Marvin in the summer or 2021 and he'll be 5 this year. I have all of his original paperwork up to date vaccinations, and proof of him being neutered.

Story
MEET NOAH! *needs a cat friend*Noah is a former community cat who spent some time in one of our fabulous feline foster homes to work on his social skills. His foster mom reports that he has come a long way in his journey. Noah enjoys playing with toys and will present them to people to encourage them to play with him. He got along with the resident cat in his foster home and would like another cat in his forever home. Noah would hide when the foster`s 8 year old child would become rambunctious, so we think a quiet home with teens and adults would be the best placement for him. Noah is currently up to date on all vaccines, spay/neutered, microchipped and has been seen by our veterinarian. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. Story
MEET AMBER*Bonded with her sister, AuroraAmber and her sister, Aurora are learning what it means to trust humans. They`ve been living inside since they were `teenagers` but have not had much in the way of socializationwith people. Since they have been at the shelter, they`ve been slowly learning every day. They know that people provide them with food and clean their litter boxes but are still wary of human interaction. Although they have not learned the pleasures of a good ear scratch or a warm lap yet, they have been enjoying some soft pets with a backscratcher on their sweet heads - this lets them enjoy touch from a safe distance as they continue to warm up to people. Aurora and Amber require a patient, cat-savvy home where they can continue to learn, grow, and decompress. The key to making cats like Amber and Aurora comfortable in your home is patience. Undersocialized cats usually follow the Rule of 3: it can take these cats 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to start settling in, and 3 months to feel at home and show their personality. Here are a few things you can expect from your undersocialized cats: *Hiding: for the best transition, we highly recommend confining these girls to a smaller room in the home like an office or a spare bedroom where they can learn about their new surroundings but still feel secure. *Transition: remember to be patient while these girls discover their new home. *Hands-on work: Most cats love food and using stinky wet food and Churu treats is a great way for you to bond with you new cat. Using a back scratcher to pet your cat while you`re giving them tasty food will help them to associate petting with good things. These girls are currently up to date on all vaccinations, have been spayed microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Amber and Aurora or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
